Room was ok, clean but the beds were awful. My bed was at a ( mattress) slant. Didn’t complain as I survived, also very thin walls. Wasn’t worth the price but I understand, I live in a tourist town, it’s the beginning of summer and prices always go up.
Advertised as remodeled but was absolutely frightening! Floors were Not level, bathroom shower tile broken and moldy, soap Dispensers broken and falling off the wall, Lights were falling off the wall. Coffee maker didn’t work... list cold go on an on. They give you a sound machine so you can’t hear traffic and strange mechanical noises.
Budget friendly, good wifi, clean, the main things I look for in a hotel. Easy check in. Really spacious room with 2 beds, microwave and mini refrigerator. Plenty of soft towels. Huge closet, if you need it. Don't stay in room 4 as it is next door to employee only room and doing laundry at 1am. We are night owls and up late, but might disrupt others that aren't. Loved the hot tub!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this charming motel than exceeded our expectations for its low cost. The new management has done an excellent job maintaining the original integrity of this old style Motel built in 1948, while providing creature comforts of comfortable room temperature, fridge, micro, Kurig coffee maker and HD TV with cable and multiple subscription networks like Hulu & Netflix. Beds were very comfortable and the grey noise amplifier option on the bedside table was a unique and fun experience. And it was a nice touch at checkout to be offered yogurt and breakfast bars for the road by the very friendly and helpful office clerk. Will definitely stay here again if passing through Salida!
Was eager to try this place, great concept. Room was very warm in October, heat was set to 73. Couldn’t get it cool even with the A/C on full. But the A/C unit was in the bathroom which made the bathroom cool but the room stayed very warm. Had to keep the door open as the windows would not open. Staff smoking nearby so that did not work either (easily fixed: don’t smoke where it bothers guests). Beds comfortable. Plenty of pillows. Good nightlight on bed. Coffee maker in room as advertised. For $109 I’d expect more attention to the details. $60 seems like the right price.
