We did not expect much for th $75 night rate. The best part of the experience was the lady at the front desk who was efficient and kind. Now to the experience. The room we got in the Longhouse smelled of mold, especially after using the shower decorated in original 1960s tiles (pink and brown). The double bed (not queen) was crammed in with no walking room. Tight, would be generous. The best part was the near death coughing bouts clearly audible through one wall, and the domestic abuse fight, requiring police on the other. A 4 out of 5 rating was a con. Don't be fooled by the reviews. They cannot be honest, unless there are luxury rooms we were not privy to.

I have stayed here at least 10 times and I feel that the quality is declining. I was in room 330 and the smoke detector is missing. Significant fire code issue. No Kleenex and the room did not smell clean. Now is the time to really step up on cleanliness. It makes me wonder if there was a change in ownership. I hope that this review is taken seriously by management.

We booked this place because there weren’t many options that weekend. It looks like they have turned a motel into a neat shabby chic place but it is just shabby. The most disgusting thing I have ever encountered occurred during our stay. After being in the room for about an hour, I went to the bathroom only to find poop in the toilet!!! Not only is this ridiculously unacceptable, this is during a pandemic! When the cleanliness of a room could not be more important! When we went to the desk to complain, they told us it would be impossible to clean our room (as if they didn’t have basic cleaning supplies on hand🤷🏻‍♀️) and they had no other rooms available. We were forced to stay in that room as everything within 45 minutes was sold out. We were told they would refund one of our two nights stay and after a month of being told a refund has been issued and continuing to follow up because it had not been, I was told it wasn’t their problems because I booked with hotels.com. I gave every opportunity for them to make this disgusting incident somehow right and they failed repeatedly.

We really wanted to like this place as it can be difficult to travel with a small dog, however the room was simply not clean. The floors were not clean at all so we had to wear shoes the entire time in our room which was a hassle. I took a lysol wipe to the bathroom floor just to see after noticing my feet got dirty, and it came up with so much grime. It's like the floors were just swept with a broom and not a wet clean. Our room also smelled like cigarettes and as non-smokers this was unpleasant. I did not see any designation when booking if this was a smoking room or not. Honestly I didn't think smoking hotel rooms were still a thing. Either way, it really needed aired out. I will say the outdoor fire pit area was nice and we enjoyed sitting out there one night. Check in and out was easy and the location is not bad. This place could be really cute if it was properly cleaned. It's a shame it wasn't.

Nice little room, comfy bed, very quiet. I would stay here again. Staff was nice, checkin was super quick and easy, they are dog friendly (small, reasonable fee for Fido) Great location for anything you might want to do in Salida.
