I had stayed here before when we won a two night stay in 2009. That was in the fall and the main lodge was closed for the winter, and it seemed that we were the only people staying here, but we had a quiet, relaxing time in our winterized cabin. I was shocked when I saw the cabin. It was...

Thanks so much for this detailed review. North cabin, probably our most popular, has a long history, going back to the mid 1920's. We actually found the original building plans for it a coupe years ago, tucked into one of the many niches in the cabin. I'm glad it 'grew on you', and you came to love it along with...

I am a Wedding Planner/Decorator and the wedding day was my first visit to Milford House. From the moment that me and my staff arrived we were treated as family. Val (the Property Manager), the Front Desk Staff and the Kitchen Staff are like a well-tuned machine and they were always present, helping us whenever necessary. Although we could not...

You ladies were great to work with, and I hope to have the chance to work with you again some day. The wedding was beautiful, and the bride and groom were well pleased. By the way, did you happen to come across the brides cake server? It has their names engraved...if so, send me an email. Thanks for this great...

We visited Milford House to attend a family wedding . The grounds were well groomed . The main lodge was an excellent venue for dinner and dancing . I had an opportunity to visit many of the cabins . None of them had a stove ( so you will need to bring your own BBQUE or burners. There was no...

Thanks for this! It was a perfect weekend for a wedding. The bride and groom stayed on for a few days, they are leaving this morning. Most of our cabins are not set up for cooking, we encourage guests to sign up for our good value meal plan, which takes away the stress of doing your own meals. No cooking,...

I loved the atmosphere of the main house to the very rustic Geier cabin. The nights chilled enough to really enjoy our fireplace. The food and staff were above average. We took advantage of the fly fishing course given by Roy, and it was amazing! Roy's a great teacher and guide. We also spent the evening with local legend Reg...

Beautiful setting but extremely uncomfortable beds and furniture. Do rodents count as extra guests? They really need to make an effort to keep the cabins clean. If you have allergies find another place.

Sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction with our rustic style. We have a very high standard of cleaning and the vast majority of our guests are more than satisfied with these standards. Please understand that you were in a wilderness setting, squirrels, chipmunks and the odd mouse are a fact of life. If you had made your concerns known at...

My wife and I decided to spend a weekend in one of the winterized cabins and have zero regrets. Customer service was fantastic during the booking process and all questions were answered. The cabin itself was cozy, clean and well stocked with firewood for the evening - the perfect retreat! The surrounding property is beautiful (and quiet!) in the winter...

This is my second time at Milford House and after seven years away it did not disappoint. This is not a luxury hotel but rather something incredibly special if you can leave behind you want for tv's and wifi. Lovely rustic cottages dotting two lakes, your own dock (on most cabins - except one i think) and if you rent...

Sorry I missed this and am late in replying. "Little" is one of my favorite cabins, so bright and cheery, but so private and quiet. It was built in the early 30's as a "Nanny's cabin" to go with "North". The nanny kept the kids in Little when the folks that originally owned North entertained. It makes a great honeymoon...

Thanks for taking the time to write this review. Sorry to hear of your poor sleep. I have to agree with the previous reviewer, quaint is fine but lack of cleanliness is not - the cabin we stayed in - needs maintennance and a spring cleaning. The lodge is brand new, staff are very pleasant ... breakfast is good, the dinner entree was disappointing- their baker is a gem and everything she makes is marvelous. If...
