We chose this location to utilize the beach and to spend a day touring St Augustine. We noticed it was difficult to find parking in the parking lot so we were concerned to drive anywhere to be honest. We walked down the road to The Beaches restaurant for lunch shortly after we checked in which was great but hot and sweaty walking. Seemed a little far. Noticed the whole strip, surrounding area under construction, run down, very scruffy. The Front desk was very friendly & helpful - Cameron specifically. Breakfast was very good. Fresh coffee all the time and we were able to purchase hop on off bus tickets. We ended up checking out a day earlier as the mattress was terrible, pillows were awful & AC was noisy all night so we did not sleep well at all. The room was very musty/humid. We decided to drive home after our tour.

First Vilano Beach was great (I think better than Anastasia Beach). This hotel was super close to beach access. Very clean. Very nice staff (desk, housekeeping, and breakfast). Also a Publix supermarket market is within 500', so anything forgotten or snacks/drinks are just steps away. Great AC in room and all common areas. Hotel was clean. Full honesty would note just a couple very minor cosmetic items. The vanity in room 330 does have some rust issues and the tub has a small chip in the porcelain. But overall the hotel is very nice and a good value for being so close to the beach and 5 minutes from the fort. Definitely recommend for family vacation. Also hotel has a deal on beach chairs & umbrella rentals.

Great location 2 minute walk from beach. Stayed March 16 & 17, 2024. Front desk staff member Cameron was helpful and excellent! Disappointing for the following reasons: Room carpet had 2 large stains and room smelled musty. Glass shower doors were filthy. Pillows were pathetic. Several uniformed cleaning staff were serving themselves breakfast from the breakfast bar on the Sunday morning leaving little for guests. Very unprofessional. Website stated ‘parking included’ but on check in was advised parking was $16 per. Manager not in attendance both Sunday and Monday mornings.

Beware of this hotel they charge $16 a day parking and good luck finding a place as all beach goers use all the parking stalls. Not to mention 1 of the three days no working elevator during our stay. The worst is I have a disability and we stayed on the 3rd floor plus they charged me $75 for my PSA service animal which is ridiculous. When I complained they refused to refund me. Plus we were locked out of our room as the digital key didn’t work plus the keys quit working as well. Down three flights of stairs yet again to get a key that worked. Front desk was very rude when asked if I could get a towel as the pool area had no towels at 3 in the afternoon. Hotel has serious issues & in desperate need of renovations. Breakfast was horrible & I’m so disappointed that I’m done with Hilton properties all together as there customer service doesn’t seem to care either.

I have stayed at this hotel a few years back and never had a problem like this. I am a dedicated HIlton Diamond member so I place a lot of trust in HIlton properties. I was working 7 mi north of the hotel ,but chose to stay here and drive to my location for 2-3 days. The best part of my visit was the serenity of Vilano Bech and nearby Beaches restaurant and proximity to Publx! This hotel has more than 1/2 of their rooms under construction (all 3rd floor and 1/2 of 2nd) and I was really looking forward to a 3rd floor (top) room looking out onto the ocean! Nope Under construction and I wasn't notified . The only rooms available at this time were 1st floor. I entered the room and was appalled by the nasty stains (everywhere) on the carpet Looked like spotty dog urine stains. I didn't even want to take my shoes off!! Ok it didn't smell bad so decided to stay. Well I went to use the internet and it was so slow I couldn't even download anything. Breakfast was supposed to be served 6-10am I arrived at 6:30 am and 1 employee was rushing around . There was 1 tray of egg omelets and she said that sausage and potatoes would be out soon At least there was hot coffee . I left about 20 min later, but still NO other breakfast choices that I could eat on a low carb diet, exc the hot food. Next day forward I drive to work and spouse stays behind to work in the room. Nope, can't use the internet then either. So he went down to check out and clerk offered an available 1st floor room. Nope internet was the same. He had 2 suitcases, a full fridge of water and drinks in a small cooler, plus his backpack. The front clerk never offered for him to store his luggage in another room so he could walk to the hotel, diagonal to this one! Then she had the audacity to tell him he had to completely move out of the room immediately, to avoid a $100 over check out fee! MY ADVICE! Stay across the street at the Hyatt PLace or the brand new Holiday Inn Express- Service with accommodating and very friendly staff

Went for the Christmas week 12/23-12/28/24. Booked 3 rooms and had the worst experience at this hotel for someone who travels often. The room on checking in had trash after being ready for us. One rooms smelled and the ac did not work in another room. Brought to the attention of staff and nothing was done to address it.
Stayed for 5 days and they only added towels, soaps and only when I asked did they remove trash. Michelle the front desk manager said they do “full service “ every 4 days and on request. I requested and still nothing was done. There was dog poop and hair in the hall way and smelled of dog urine. Again this was not remedied. PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE

Staff at front desk and evening housekeeping were excellent. Breakfast staff did a great job of refilling food and coffee. Groundskeepers keep outside areas neat and beautiful.
Daytime house keeping was not up to usual standards of Hilton. The room had food crumbs and water spots on furniture, as well as crumbs on floor from previous guests. Kudos to evening housekeeping for saving the day by providing Lysol wipes so we could wipe down the room. The floors in room were filthy….feet were black from dirt in room…..noticed when we took showers. Observed the morning housekeeping staff both days we were there, and they seemed more interested in each other than in doing their jobs, and doing them well. Their job is the most important one in the entire hotel, and should be respected for that.
Have seen this same complaint in other reviews on Trip Advisor. We decided to stay there anyway, due to excellent location and neighborhood. Hope Hilton can fix the daytime housekeeping problems, as this is really a great option when visiting St. Augustine.

Responded Feb 13, 2023
We certainly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us. Our prime location can't be beaten, and we love that it was a highlight of your visit. However, it appears there was a bit of a hiccup with housekeeping services. You can be sure that we are looking into this matter. We hope to have another chance to provide you with a better stay in the future.

I spent quite a bit of time looking for a Hilton branded hotel in the area, and was very excited to find one at a very reasonable price so close to the beach.
The area was great; the beach was literally on the other side of the parking lot and there was a supermarket right behind, along with a few little shops to browse and a quick drive over the causeway the historical area.
Staff was pleasant enough and check in was easy. The property, however, is showing it's age. There was only one elevator and it was slow and clunky. The room - while neat and clean - had a broken window and was showing signs of age. When we used the shower, the drain was backed up with beach sand.
Breakfast was great and if you plan on going to the beach, they have a great little rental of beach chairs, a mat, and an umbrella for only 50$ for your entire stay. Great value.
We had an issue with booking online and checking in with the app, and we were charged for 2 rooms, but the manager quickly rectified it without me having to argue.
So, if you are looking for a great location to spend some time at the beach, this is it. If you need brand new, try somewhere else.

The location of the property is wonderful with great nearby restaurants and a Publix for anything you might need.
We’ve stayed at this property several times this year and have decided it made our “don’t stay here” list. The hospitality is inconsistent, seeming to depend on the persons mood that day. The hot tub hasn’t worked twice, in our three stays. This was one of the main reasons we booked it this time, because we were doing extended days of long distance walking.
And after dealing with the broken hot tub and trying to make the best of our stay by enjoying the nearby business, we turned in for the night only to find a very large brown stain on the sheets and a broken phone in the room, so we couldn’t contact the front desk.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Close to beach and a quick easy drive in to Old St. Augustine. Breakfast was so-so. I’ve had better quality at other Hamptons. Rooms need better maintenance and cleaning. Room smelled of mold and fungus coming from AC unit in room- maintenance sprayed a deodorizer but masking the odor isn’t a fix when it’s mold. Truly they should have cleaned the AC properly to rid the odor. Front desk person took off parking charge for inconvenience. The hotel was totally booked so another room was unavailable. Overall cleanliness was ok. Dirt and dust in every corner. Lamp shade on desk had rust on rim. Carpeting felt grimy. I prefer no carpeting in hotel rooms.
