The spruce lodge is truly a 5 star place to stay. Rob and Dee are truly professionals and they know their businesses. The restaurant was also a 5 star breakfast, Dee kept my coffee cup full. We'll be back again and again.

We stayed here for several months while we were getting our business opened up in south fork. This is not a corporate venture. This is a mom n pop operation with owners that are willing to do whatever it takes to accompany their guests. Great rooms at reasonable prices, with in house breakfast restaurant. Hard to beat!

The lodge was clean, our room was comfortable and clean, and the breakfast was nice so two stars for those characteristics. But -3 stars for the unwelcoming and openly hostile attitude towards us. Our family of four (husband, wife, child and toddler) is not white and it's clear that people who are different are not welcome at this establishment. We...

Made our way to South Fork to do some skiing at Wolf Creek. We opted to stay in South Fork since the pass can be closed coming from Pagosa Springs. The lodge is unique - quaint and comfortable. We booked two rooms upstairs in the main building - one room had two separated bedrooms - each with a queen bed...perfect...

The people here are very friendly. My family and I came up to Colorado for a week and Spruce Lodge was perfect for us! Anything you need, they will supply. The Lodge is comfortable and is fun. Friendly dogs, cats, and chickens roam around outside creating a unique, one of a kind experience! Five stars all day long!

We were traveling to Prescott along the scenic South Fork area and Wolf pass. We had planned to stop in Durango but always keep our minds open. After sitting for a while for an accident to be cleared and feeling like it was time to stop when he got to south fork, my hubby called to see if they took...

See and Ray, the proprietors, were very kind and make a great hearty breakfast. The price was beyond a value and the room was modern and cozy. There are fire pits around the property. We wished that we got to the lodge earlier to enjoy the amenities. Dee puts out a continental breakfast for folks that are in a hurry....

What a great Cozy Lodge experience with a great Mom & Pop feel. Literally run and owned by a sweet couple. Continental breakfast is great but they will whip you up a great homemade breakfast. Pancakes, french toast, burritos and cinnamon buns the size of a plate!!! For the price and location you can't beat this place.

I was giggling when we opened the door! I take a two night trip between Phoenix where I live (hot and dry for 5 months) and Denver where I was born (verdant and always chasing snowy weather). I was debating the infamous Wolf Creek Pass. Growing up it was legendary. A REAL mountain pass with ear-popping and everything. As a...

We stayed in The Rio Grande Room for one night. Generally it is as advertised. Had a good nights sleep. Wish we would have had more time in South Fork. We decided to forego the continental breakfast and paid for a good made from scratch breakfast. My only concern is while advertising everyone needs to have a smile or "go...
