I would give the hotel 3 stars as the rooms are dated and walls a bit thin. But the breakfast was a solid 5 stars. Great job. Would stay again no problem. just in the morning, when the people leave to ski, you hear it.

It looks like you stayed with us in a pet friendly room over Spring Break. That was probably the last room we had available. Those rooms seem a bit more dated because we have the traditional fold-over-the-pillow bedspreads because they are easy to wash and quick to dry - important for the pet friendly rooms. Please come back and see...

My family of five took a ski vacation to Wolf Creek as it is known to have the best snow. We decided to stay in South Fork as it seemed to be a shorter distance to the ski area than places we could find in Pagosa Springs. We loved the Spruce Lodge and South Fork. Spruce Lodge and the family...

Our recent stay at the Spruce Lodge was great. The breakfast is awesome and Dee was very accommodating to our special need (a pet traveled with us at the last minute unexpectedly). The room was comfortable and clean. We will return the the Spruce lodge on all future trips to the area and have even discussed a summer trip there...

South Fork, CO must have the best marketing department in CO. This town is pretty much in the middle of nowhere, but we LOVED it! We found info while in Durango and decided to drive over Wolf Creek Pass (gorgeous) and check it out. Stayed at the very clean, quiet and budget-friendly Spruce Lodge. Neat accommodations, would have been great...

Thank you for the very nice review! The cat's name is Carl and he is a sweetheart. He will sit outside and look sad so people let him in and share the leftover milk from their breakfast cereal. Silly cat. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay - we work very hard to keep the beds and linens amazingly fluffy, soft...

My Dad and I stayed at this establishment recently on our way to Dolores, CO for an elk/mule deer hunt at the Colorado Hunting Lodge. We both found Dee and Rob excellent hosts. Although we had just met them, there was a great connection and consider them family in CO! Our accommodations were great and the breakfast was impressive! Everyone...

The owners were so hospitable - they even made sure we had coffee at 4:00 am as we headed out the door for our daily hunt. They also made sure the continental breakfast was out super early for us as well. The extra steps the owners took to make sure our stay was enjoyable were greatly appreciated. We had the...

After 2 different stays, my wife and I plan to return here every year. The new kitchen serves a fabulous breakfast. Rob's pancake platter is great. We take advantage of the rafting trip (which is included with a 3-night stay). It's close to the Rio Grande Golf Club which I take advantage of, too. We also like to take the...
