Yes, this was an older property. We slept well, however. Just older room amenities, i.e. shower, bathroom set-up. All in all, the stay was good. Breakfast the next morning was very tasty, and we enjoyed it !
Stayed for 2 nights while visiting my daughter for early Christmas. My room was great, comfortable bed, hot/strong shower. The staff was so nice, very accommodating. The hotel has rooms set aside for pets, so my dog and I had a nice visit, found a...More

Brandon and Quinten were absolutely fabulous to us. They were very accommodating and helpful, besides being wonderful to talk to. The room was clean and great. We ate at Rex’s which is the restaurant that is connected to the hotel - we LOVE to eat...More
Cleanest, most attentive/ courteous staff and most accommodating Holiday Inn I’ve been to in a long time.
There is a great restaurant in the hotel that is frequented by locals on the regular.
The beds are comfortable and the rooms are very clean.

Thank you so much for this wonderful review. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay, our staff, our amenities, Rex's American Grill, and the free City Bus. We look forward to many future visits as Steamboat has something of interest year around.
I debate whether to go 3 or 4 dots on this review . It was somewhere in between. The staff at the front desk were great - super helpful and friendly. The hotel itself though felt a little dated. There was something that just didn't...More

You two choices in Steamboat Springs to enjoy the Hot Mineral Springs. The Old Town Hot Springs, a health and recreation center with hot springs pools, water slides, and a workout facility, on Lincoln and near 3rd Street. That is about 3 miles from the Holiday Inn.
Or the natural hot springs at Strawberry Park which is one of Steamboat's many natural treasures. The Strawberry Park Hot Springs, located about 15 miles from the Holiday Inn but requires a vehicle that can drive on snowy/muddy roads, as the last mile to it is not paved.
We hope to welcome you soon. Barbara Robinson, GM

The only event I could assist you with is the New Year’s Eve Torchlight Parade and Fireworks display in the Steamboat Ski Area. Most of the specific events around New Year's Eve change every year. As an example though, I can tell you about some of the events that occurred on the 2015/2016 celebration.
-There was an event at the Sheraton that had: live entertainment with DJ Trevor Potter, a magician providing table-side illusions, and holiday crafts for the kids.
-Tera Johnson and The Sounds of Soul performed at the Grand, outside of their restaurant (The Cabin).
- Stand-up Comedian Sam Tallent had a show at the chief theater.
-Downtown Steamboat had multiple locations with live music
Fortunately, I am sure you will have no trouble finding some amazing things to do on your trip. Also, specifically relating to the Holiday Inn, the staff has a list of all of the events happening in Steamboat over the course of the week (updated every week). So it never hurts to check with one of the guest service representatives. I hope this helps and we look forward to your visit!
