We began as a base camp for miners back in the heyday of Colorado's mining boom and today we are a quiet get-away nestled in National Forest at the base of Colorado's highest peak. Step out of today's hectic world into a quieter time at Mt. Elbert Lodge. We have no TVs, radios or phones in our comfortable housekeeping cabins; we do have a front row seat to the Colorado Rockies.

We have stayed in the lodge in previous years & this time chose a cabin...Water Wheel. It was a perfect location & the stream behind lulled us to sleep each night. Location is perfect for hiking & exploring. It is not far from Buena Vista which has several good restaurants. Th

We stayed in the cabin "tall pines". This a great location for hiking and visiting Independence Pass and even Aspen if you want. There are 2 bedrooms in this cabin. There is no tv or wifi, but that was ok with us. You can access wifi from the main bldg. or a cabin away outside

We stayed in a bed and breakfast room in the main house. The breakfast was wonderful! The room was very comfortable and clean. The innkeepers are extremely nice. We will definitely stay here again when we’re back in Colorado.

We stayed three nights in the Tall Pine Cabin over 4th of July. The cabin was cozy and clean. The furniture is rustic. The kitchen had all the items we needed to cook our own meals. Microwave, coffee maker, pots, pans, utensils...The oven was hard to open, but it worked. The stov

We are considering either the Rinker or Waterwheel. do you know what type seating(couch chairs ect.) is available in the living area for each cabin?
The Rinker has a full kitchen with table and 3 chairs, 2 chairs in front of gas fireplace and 2 lazy boy chairs in bedroom. Outside on the deck has a table and 4 chairs and a grill. We have stayed in the Rinker multiple times and just stayed there during the holidays.

"Cinnamon Bear and Rinker directly across the street. Some road noise, but minimal. Got quieter as the night went on."
"Rinker Cabin and Cinnamon Bear are set up above the road and are quieter with better views."
"Beautiful views of the mountains on both sides and a beautiful river flowing"
"This is not pertinent as each room, and there are only four, has its own feature."
"Fav cabin is Beaver (2 br)--closest to the river, very quiet, and you can have a bonfire on the beach (unless fire bans in place)"
