We had an unexpectedly wonderful stay at the Lodge thanks to the friendly, detail-oriented, responsive, above-and-beyond staff. The room (a 3 bedroom condo) suited the group's needs very well and was in very good shape. The location, impossible to beat, particularly during the world championships, with a large viewing screen easily visible from our porch. The hot tub and pool...

Perfect location, just steps from Gondola One. Warm hospitable staff, with the right amount of amenities, without being overbearing. Hot chocolate/cider, s'mores, and morning coffee were nice extras. Beds and bathrooms were more than adequate. Kitchenette and living room were very acceptable, though couch and chairs in living area could be freshened up. Overall, a great stay with great staff.

a very old building with a facelift makes for small rooms and bathrooms, dingy halls with low ceilings. While tastefully done, it's kinda like putting lipstick on a pig. Bar at Elways was good, cucina for breakfast quite nice. Service good. The snow was horrible for time of year with plenty of brown spots and icy back bowls and ungroomed...

Dear Harpapster, I appreciate the time you took to do a review. I'm so sorry the conditions were not good during your stay. I appreciate the acknowledgement of the service and the dinning outlets. Other comparable 2 bedroom condos in the area are more spacious, with same accommodations and good location for less money. Room was clean and updated, but very small. Location is great, requested village or mountain view but was denied. Staff is very friendly though. Would only recommend if cost is not an issue.

My husband and I stayed 10 days at The Lodge in february. It was a perfect ski trip. In our check in our room was ready and we received a free upgrade. We stayed at the Lodge at Vail the first part of January and were disappointed with the experience. We were told the Lodge/rooms had been renovated but this was not the case for our room. The room was very hot with no way of adjusting the temperature unless opening a door to a balcony we shared with strangers. This kept...

We have gone to Vail for a number of years and each time stayed at a different hotel. The location of this hotel is very good, as it is only a few a short walk to the base of the mountain. I would say this is even a better location than the Four Seasons. The staff is very helpful and...

The Lodge at Vail has one of the best locations in all of the Vail Valley! The guest rooms are well appointed, spacious, and the bathrooms are amazing!
