We have been coming back to this location for years . It is an excellent location for family and friends who wish to stay outside of the hotels and designer resorts. The location is good and convenient to slopes.

Blu's is a good restaurant, provided that you don't get there to late and that goes for room service also. They close early. I would suggest you hit a market somewhere and stock the frig. You are out of gas food wise given the hours of food availability, unless you don't mind vending machines. I would strongly suggest you stay in Vail Village itself. More to choose from in the food category and much more amenities.
