Grossest motel ever! Look at the rooms before you pay! Sketchy people running the joint, dirty rooms, dogs in the lobby. Stained sheets and mattresses, nasty floor and no locks on doors! Just avoid it all together! I'd sleep in my car before staying there!

Clean - Quite - friendly and half the price of BW and located midways between Walsenburg and Laveta Co. On highway 160 went out of their way to show appreciation for staying with them staying there again first of August

We pulled into Rio Cucharas around 11PM. The other motels in town are small mom and pops and fill up or have offices that close early. The room rates weren't bad. We got the "Executive Suite" which has two double beds. The AC worked fine and the beds were comfortable, but the floor looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in...

The manager was nice and friendly. The room was clean, however they really need to replace a lot of things. The towels were small, thin, and rough. The washcloths looked like rags. The sheets had holes and were ragged. The carpet wasn't all that great. The blinds need replaced as a couple of slats were broken, so anyone could peer...

After staying in many motels across the western United States this summer the Rio Cucaras Inn was a refreshing change to the standardized conformity of motels we are used to seeing. The staff was corky but very friendly and helpful. Everything had an authentic unintentional vintage and retro feel. The room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was clean with...

Do NOT Do NOT Here Here It Is Very Sketchy. First of all it gave me and my family a weird feeling when we walked into to the room we had rented and that usually doesn't happen to us a lot. When you go to lock the door it doesn't lock from the inside it locks automatically which I thought...

Stayed there for work and was not impressed.... Rooms were not clean properly, with dirty floors no towels or soap. The poor quality breakfast did not feature much, and dogs roaming around all over wasn't nice either. This hotel is a little run down and needs some major repairs. Most of the room have a 20 in tube tv that...

Had reservation to stay while in town for business. Two pit bulls were wandering free by front entrance. We had to ask if it was safe to exit our car! We were greeted by a Man with shirt unbuttoned and previous night's makeup (red lipstick, eye shadow and mascara), yes I said a man. To each their own, however the...

Friendly, welcoming manager. Room doors open to outdoors to gorgeous view of Spanish Peaks. Night stand on each side of bed. The best continental breakfast I've ever seen, including fresh sweet cherries, perfect bananas, oranges, English muffins and choices of breads for toast, cereals, hard-boiled eggs.

It was the end of a very long day. We had already passed places with no vacancies when we stopped at this place.Looked great! Owner at the desk. Sorry full, let me call around. Showed me a room while on the phone. Looked good. Only $100. Told me all about it. The room had been occupied for 3 months by...
