We booked to stay for one night after a 12 hour journey. The hotel had changed its availability with booking.com. this is their responsibility to ensure it is correct. We were very frustrated by this and it ruined the end of our holiday. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

unique. An old slightly neglected chateau. The 2 bedroom apartment was extremely large. Elegant. High ceilings. Well furnished. Self catering. Comfortable. The 2 bedroom studio was also comfortable. Well located. 15 mins to Albert (good restaurants). On the WW1 tourist trail. Good value. Only issue was they forgot we had the studio as well as the apartment, but only charged...

We stayed here for one night whilst visiting the Somme and found it rather usual but in a good way. We arrived in the dark and it took us a few minutes to work out how to call the Custodian but once we did she came downstairs very quickly and showed us to our apartment. My Daughter's jaw fell to...

We stayed in the double suite in the chateau for two nights (24th/25th of September) which takes up pretty much the entire first floor of the chateau. Yes, it would definitely benefit from some repair and upkeep. Many, if not most of the hundred plus lightbulbs aren't working and yes, the towels are a little small. But what a lovely...

I agree with other reviewers that the chateau is not a fine chateau but look at the price you are paying and compare with others. You ring the bell as directed on the door and the lady comes down, shows you the room and takes your money. You are left with the key and instructions to leave the key on...

A bit run down on the outside, had to wait an hour before someone came to let us in. We were given rooms in the basement which at first looked ok. The rooms haven't seen a Hoover in a long time. Cobwebs everywhere dead flies cobwebs and dust on all windowsills, windows so dirty also. Floors sticky mirror and pictures...

A wonderful old Chateau in a very rural location in the heart of the Somme Valley. Despite previous comments we found none of the issues during our stay. Met by the lady in charge and also the owner who came to meet us. Both very pleasant and accomodating. Very hot water, very clean apartment, we had the ground floor 2...

The Chateau itself was beautiful; the setting picturesque. The rooms on the main level were quite comfortable. You did feel like you stepped back in time. The facility itself is in need of care and repair--which goes with a building dating back to 1830. However the cobwebs from the high ceilings in all of the rooms were a bit disconcerting....

Travelling with three friends for a tour of the WW1 battlefields this place had the advantage of a decent location. And that's where the good news ends really. We were put in the two twin basement rooms. Their conversion into self contained apartments has involved erecting toilet screen walls that don't reach the ceiling in one case and have a...

Stayed for 3 nights with 3 mates as we toured the WW1 sites in area. This was booked as a "Contemporary Apartment!". It was at best barely adequate. Day 1 no heating or hot water. After tortuous communication with charming Rep, hot water ok but rooms freezing! Repeat process and eventually both working on Day 2! One room had bathroom...

“For the full experience, take the double room (suite) even if you don't need it. Take your own food (breakfast) and don't expect to have service at your beck and call. It's not actually a hotel. Enjoy the experience and overlook the obvious age and condition of the property. Everything works (lighbulbs excepted), its just old.”
