We had an exceptional stay at the Hotellerie du Roy. Ideally located, this hotel is close to the main roads leading to Maurienne or Tarentaise, and close to the first ski resorts and hiking trails. It is a perfect choice for both a green weekend and a business trip.
The hotel is very well equipped, with clean, spacious and quiet rooms. The bedding is particularly comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep after a busy day. Breakfast was a real treat, offering a wide choice of sweet and savoury products, well prepared and of high quality.
The hotel staff was welcoming and attentive, always ready to make our stay pleasant. In summary, we highly recommend Hotellerie du Roy to anyone looking for quality accommodation in this beautiful region. We will return without hesitation on our next visit.
Thank you to the whole team for this stay!

The house, which dates back to the 70s, is showing its age and has a new owner. It is located in an industrial area about 3km from town. It didn't bother us because the website promised a hotel restaurant and a bar. Unfortunately, both are closed at weekends.
The house has no elevator and the rooms are simple but clean. They are very noisy and you can hear what is going on in the room next door.
The breakfast is simple and not worth the €13 (e.g. no eggs). In addition, the breakfast room is currently being renovated and you are sitting in the middle of the construction site.

Excellent hotel 2*
Hearty sweet breakfast - savoury & excellent fresh fruit, especially homemade cranberry cake.
Excellent bedding, we slept very well,
Despite the absence of air conditioning, an efficient and quiet fan is present in the room
Welcome from the new owner

My partner and I have enjoyed a week at this accommodation in a meeting of vintage motorcycles. Very complete continental breakfast with good products, comfortable and clean rooms. Good dinner and especially a very close and friendly treatment at all times. Located next to a small lagoon is a quiet and very welcoming environment.

Two stars hotels are a bit of a lottery in France but this one is a winning number. Nothing fancy of course but nice personalized welcome, rather large room with balcony, quiet, decent bathroom. Very correct classical breakfast. WiFi ok if not impressive. Appropriate pricing. You can even bath in the nearby pond on hot days! No problem.

A great stay at this Pension!
A welcoming and adorable staff. A nice and spacious room, as well as a quality restaurant where everything is homemade. Hearty breakfast with choice. It also has a large parking lot.
I recommend without hesitation.

Stayed overnight on a Friday just before Christmas on way to a week -long skiing trip at Les Arcs. Very convenient near the autoroute. About nine hrs from Calais and an hour and a quarter from Les Arcs.
Booked five rooms for three families. Lots of Email exchange regarding the rooms, breakfast and then dinner. All enquires met with speedy, polite and professional responses.
We arrived at 1730. Friendly reception. Made use of the bar until dinner. Our dinner requests (couple of fussy English teenagers needing off menu choices) were fully met. Those who used the menu were pleased, food was good, service was quick.
Room was adequate and clean. A little dated, but I prefer ‘French charm’.
Breakfast buffet was good. Everything we needed before an early start.
I really liked this hotel. Owner and team were friendly, location was excellent, it was quiet and reasonable value for money. For what we wanted, an overnight quiet stopover, bar and restaurant that was French, not an anonymous chain hotel, I strongly recommend and would return.

We stayed here as a staging post to allow us to beat the rush into the ski resorts on a Saturday morning. The family room was adequate for the one night. The whole place seemed to be run by one lady who looked after reception, ran the bar and acted as waitress in the restaurant. Food was fine and the breakfast buffet did the job. Good value.

Family operated. Clean room in a nice and tranquil location. Amazing service and clean room. Very good food. Thank you Pierre and Jeannine for an amazing personalized stay. 10 minutes away from Albertville. For desert you have to try their homemade Charlotte.

Set back from the town it's quite remote but then has beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and a very pleasant lake to swim in nearby. The food was good, nothing fancy but filling and tasty, breakfast was very limited. The staff were very friendly and nice. The room was tiny and no fan in the room and given the temperatures were in the high 30s, it was impossible to sleep as there was no fan provided.
