We were two couples on holiday from New Zealand. Really enjoyed our short stay (2 nights) with very friendly and helpful hosts with great local knowledge, comfortable rooms and a delicious breakfast prepared by Elaine with a serving of good coffee, juice and cheerful banter from Leo. We are all happy to recommend The Riverwind Inn to others.

We really enjoyed our time at the Riverwind! It's a classic New England Bed & Breakfast experience ... lots of charm, class, and comfort. The house is beautiful, with every room nicely decorated and very welcoming. You feel like you want to take a seat and relax as soon as you walk in. It's also very quest, we had no...

this beautiful B & B was everything we hoped it would be for a romantic getaway. Built in the 1800's it featured period furniture, original fireplaces and wide planked floors to name a few and it was immaculately clean. Innkeepers Elaine & Leo were so welcoming and Elaine's breakfasts were scrumptious and filling. We are looking forward to our next...

We spent only a single night here on our first visit but will definitely return. Lovely inn, kind & welcoming hosts, immaculately clean and an outstanding breakfast that exceeded all expectations. We stayed in "Willow" room which has a private covered porch that only added to the charm. If you are in the area, definitely check this out!

We just wrapped up a two-day stay at the Riverwind Inn. It was perfect. The Inn is welcoming and the inn keepers Leo & Elaine are like long time friends. Elaine greeted us warmly when we arrived, and showed us right to our room. The inn is in a great location, so close to many quintessential Connecticut towns, like Essex,...

This place is a great place for R & R. The area offers great access to near by towns like Essex, Chester, and Old Saybrook. There is kayaking nearby to taking the...

We stayed at the River Wind Inn for only one night as we had a wedding in deep river and had to be on our way the next morning. The Inn and Inn keepers were warm and welcoming. Our room, Champagne and Roses, was as lovely as the online picture. It is hard to describe how hospitable and inviting the...

We had an absolutely lovely weekend at the Riverwind Inn. My 13 year old son and I were here to attend a weekend event in nearby Chester. Along with us were another mom and her 13 year old daughter. The Riverwind was a quick 5 minute drive, so was perfectly located. The rooms were charming, clean, and delightful. The kids...

We were in CT to visit my husband's daughter and I found Riverwind Inn on TA. What a charming place with owners who could not have been nicer. Leo and Elaine went out of their way to be accommodating. Elaine even made me a gluten free breakfast for the three days were were there--and it was delicious! Can't wait to...

First time at this B&B. Found it to be very charming and convenient to the town and area attractions. The innkeepers were very friendly and helpful with everything. Breakfast was great. Great value. My wife and I enjoyed our recent stay and would return.
