Zagat has rated this establishment as #1 in the area for several years now. Has been around for a long time and while it is pricey, the food and service is unparalleled at any sit down for a 3-hour meal place I've been too. Good for very special occasions; anniversaries, weddings (my parents were married here), and other events. Would...

Arriving at the inn, late at night, the night manager kept peering out of the window between the slats of the shades. It was spooky and strange. That was the first issue. Then the moment you walk into this hotel the pungent rotting smell of unsanitary conditions is overpowering. My mother who is 65 immediately whispered to me that she...

We were there just for lunch, so we cannot comment on the rooms. Very nice food and ambiance. Great service. Friendly owner. The place is very well kept but the decoration is not the best, at least for our taste.

The food, service and ambiance are all excellent, although very expensive. We went recently on a Saturday evening for a special family occasion. The surrounding clientele were all well dressed as we were with jacket, collared shirts/ties, etc. In walks a woman with sweatshirt with a hoodie, yoga pants and sneakers. Everyone in my group commented negatively as did others...

Recent anniversary dinner...what a spectacular experience! Every dish was perfect...lamb,venison,sweetbreads,dover sole and deserts.Umberto, our waiter, and his team were extremely attentive and welcoming. You can tell when people really enjoy their work and make the night special. The setting is impressive.Don't miss this one!

This was my second time staying at The Homestead Inn and my stay was just as great. The owner, Theresa Henkelmann welcomed me with a smile and showed me to my lovely room. Everything was perfect. The room was gorgeous and extremely clean. The bed was so comfortable and plush. The bathroom was supplied with wonderful Bvlgari bath products. The...

We had a small suite, which was perfect in every detail. It was quiet and we did not have to drive after the superb dinner with wine. Breakfast had good, healthy choices and we were totally relaxed after just 18 hours. Back to Manhattan, but looking forward to returning. It is in Greenwich, but seems very separated from the busy...

The dining room more than deserves that Relais & Chateaux designation, the rest of the inn not quite. New Year's Eve dinner was a seven-course extravaganza of French cooking the old way, delicious down to the last little petit four, although some of the preparations like the lobster bisque in a creamy foam sauce with a floating custard should be...

I stayed here for one night on a business trip. It was a really poor experience. I was in one of the buildings outside of the main house, there was no wifi reception (or solution by the Inn) so I was unable to work in the evening. At around 6pm I requested an iron and board to press a shirt...

So, my husband and I stayed here for the weekend of his 40th high school reunion. When he grew up here, it was known as "the place", so we decided to give it a whirl. It is situated in a high end residential neighborhood, and looks like one of the homes. Upon entering, you are welcomed by an awesome bespoke...
