Room was clean, roomy & great, located right off the elevator. The front desk was very helpful & accommodating to our questions. They had a breakfast & dinner restaurant in the lobby along with a bar. Plenty of seating in the lobby area plus an outside seating area with a firepit.

My boyfriend and I stayed here because we attended a car show at Mohegan Sun. When arriving at the hotel after midnight we were both so tired we didn’t care much about the minor issues we had. First all are Hilton honors members so I was able to check in on my phone and use a digital key to access our room. Our rooms cleaning seal seemed to already be broken but we weren’t positive so we just went in and everything seemed untouch so we ignored it. Secondly we had booked and paid for a king bed and that was not what we were given. We had at best a Queen bed. He’s very tall so a bigger bed is almost necessary but we made it work. Overall the hotel was nice but under renovation. We would definitely return here in the future as the price point was good, hopefully next time we get the correct room!

We booked late to go to Mystic so we were glad to get a hotel for a long weekend. It’s on a main road so easy access to anywhere you want to go. We enjoy sitting by a pool….but not an indoor pool. We gave it a try when booking and we won’t do it again. The pool area is not kept clean, or the pool for that matter. Chlorine powder all over the floor. Peeling paint in the pool. Water fountains, rusted stainless steel, who would drink from that? They have recently (or I think recently) spackled areas by the pool, the ceiling to be exact, and it’s just left unpainted. The room was clean as well as the entrance area. They have a policy, which this was a first for us, your room is not cleaned unless you ask for it to be cleaned. I’m guessing it’s a part of social distancing during this pandemic.

The hotel staff were very friendly and hepful. The inside lobby was very spacious and clean . Our room was very clean and spacious. The king was was very comfortable. The remote was wrapped with a notice of cleanliness and there was a label on the door entrance to show the room had been cleaned . Felt very comfortable at this hotel . Near the highway . The location was near shopping and other restaurants.

Had no major issues with the room - it was standard and slightly worn. The staff that we interacted with were great. Mainly only one person at the front desk – Jay. He was very attentive and helped resolve a minor issue promptly. At breakfast, for two days we had Eric as the server. He exemplified a hard worker – always hustling and checking to make sure we were satisfied. The only thing to “complain” about at breakfast, and it really wasn’t a big deal, but for 3 straight days, we ordered breakfast potatoes, and each day, they came out cold. Otherwise, the breakfast was good each day.

This hotel is very clean you can smell the clean while walking the hall way. We stayed in a suite and everything worked well, the TV, AC, View , bed and pillow. They offer a free coffee , fruit and muffin in the lobby or you can buy for 10$ The buffet style breakfast they have. The only bad thing is that they closed the whirpool and the pool have so many dead bugs inside. Otherwise everything is good. The LGBTQ worker in the front desk was amazing and took care of every little thing we need.

This inn sucks, primarily because of the weak, very slow internet wifi service. That this hotel cannot provide consistent, good wifi internet service in the third decade of the 21st century is frustrating and disappointing. When I informed the desk clerk of the problem, he simply denied it existed. To add insult to injury, the breakfast is not included in the room price, as it is for every other of this class of hotel we have frequented. I never stay here in the future.

The online check in worked well. Adequate parking and access to the business center and front desk friendly. 2 items I didn't like was a broken ice machine. (We saw that at another Hilton property we stayed at as well this weekend). What was really upsetting was the fact that while breakfast isn't free (we knew that), you are supposed to be able to buy items " ala carte". So if you just wanted to get an english muffin, that's usually a buck. (it is at every other Hilton Garden Inn I've stayed at) Not $10/person for a total of $20 for 2 bagels ! We blew out of there and went to Dunkin Donuts and came back and ate it at the Hotel. So Dunkin gets a sale, Hilton probably throws away the very muffins they wanted to charge us $20 for and pisses off a long time Diamond Member in the process. Nice work !

As stated in the beginning of this survey. A pair of used contact lenses were found in our bed… first we found 1 then started looking and found the other. Unless a staff was taking a nap and forgot to clean up, perhaps the lenses were stuck in the sheets after washing them. Either way… problem! Hotel is located 10-12minutes from Mystic. Breakfast is not included, items selected on the menu will be billed to your room. Not the best quality food, for the price you pay it’s best to enjoy good coffee and good food at the Diner. Good Luck

Do you like rooms that smell like stake smoke and aren't regularly cleaned? Do you like having no shampoo or clean towels for the duration of your multiple day stay, even after requesting them? How about staff that lie about systems being down, being out of shampoo, or needing to request any kind of room refresh despite signs everywhere saying it's done every other day? How about if you DO request turnover, it just doesn't happen? What if I told you that you could have all that and somehow less all for the low, low cost of double the rates of comparable hotels??

That's right! If this sounds like the place for you, please by all means stay here at the Hilton Garden Inn Mystic/Groton! They'll take an exorbitant amount of your money and do the bare minimum or less to make your stay as unpleasant as possible.

Stay away from this outdated, unclean and poorly run establishment. It's Hilton in name only. You're better off sleeping in your car or going to literally any other hotel.

Responded 2 weeks ago
Dear Guest- I am disappointed to hear about your stay with us and apologize for the issues you experienced. It is true the Hilton systems were out company wide for several days during your stay which posed significant challenges for all Hilton properties. I apologize this negatively impacted your stay and resulted in missed Housekeeping Service. I am confident another stay at our property would exceed your expectations and I hope you give us that opportunity in the future. Kristin Sanquedolce General Manager
