Stayed here for 1 night after attending family wedding. Audrey and her son were very friendly and helpful. Our room was warm and the bed comfy. Tea and coffee etc was provided in the room. Choice of cereals, fruit and juice, plus cooked breakfast.

Audrey is such a fabulous host. Beautiful breakfast and lovely room. For dinner, it's a very quick drive to St. Michael's Pub. A charming pub with very good food and beer. We'll be back next time. Loved Haggis the cat.

My husband and I were visiting Fife for a friend's wedding and so was looking for a place to stay for 3 nights, which was affordable and close to Anstruther. We came across this delightful Guest House, and I am so happy that we stayed here. Audrey and her son Ian took care of us, paid attention to our needs and really did make us feel at home. Ian even organised a last minute golf lesson on one of the days, showing how they really went the extra mile. Vicarsford Lodge is a little gem and I am so thankful to Audrey and Ian for making us feel so at home, in theirs! Thank you both so much.

Room: window had a towel in it to absorb the damp and to keep it closed. Spiders and cobwebs everywhere, a couple even returned so at least they liked the room. Stains on the bed sheets, TV didn’t work. Booked the garden room and got the car park room. Breakfast was basic and undercooked, certainly not value for money at £135, should be about £50 at the most then until we could prove we’d paid up front due to poor wi-fi we nearly had to pay twice.

Arrived today for one night stay. When we phoned the owner Audrey was nice on the phone until we arrived. The son Ian is not capable of running a bed and breakfast We arrived to family rooms the doors don’t even lock and the other room the other end of house is cold and damp and brother took unwell after sleeping in the room of damp conditions. We arrived at 10am for breakfast to the breakfast been burnt as it was microwaved. Ian the owner was aggressive and rude and walked about like a strange guy. He Cooked the breakfast and after my brother was sick he was away taking about us to his mum. Both very rude people who shouldn’t have the ability to be charging money for a stay like this. The place is dirty kitchen and bedrooms they rent out. All nice until the day of check out when they push you out your rooms. Banging on doors asking families to leave. This place needs shut down. Don’t go unless you want harraased from the owners Ian and Audrey.

We stayed at Vicarsford Lodge for a night when visiting St Andrews and found this a great B&B. In another review it was mentioned that it was a difficult place to find - nah! They have a sign, it's seemples! The owners were welcoming and friendly and gave useful advice on things such as parking and eating in St Andrews. The room was clean, comfortable and cosy - lovely electric blankets! The nice touch of a tin of biscuits was also appreciated. Superb breakfast. All in all, a fantastic place to stay.

We are from Germany and stayed there for 5 nights this summer. The owners were very friendly, the room was nice - we had room 2 with direct access to the nice small garden. We often sat in the patio which was more comfortable than in the room. The beds were super we a heating blanket because it was cool at night. The breakfast was delicious, we really want to come back one day.

We had the pleasure of spending 8 days at Vicarsford Lodge and were delighted with the service, care and little extras that Audrey and Ian Bell gave us to make our stay just that little bit more special. The home and our hosts added to the specialness of our visit to St Andrews. Breakfasts were cooked to order and if you happened to be leaving before breakfast started, Audrey was happy to pack you breakfast to take with you as she would say in her strong Scottish accent: “I don’t want to see you go hungry.” We highly recommend Vicarsford Lodge for a homely stay. It is a comfort haven when you have had enough of the sterile environment of hotels and looking for something just that little bit more cosy and homely. A car is needed, but in its absence, the hosts are happy enough to drop you off at the nearby bus stop if they're heading out on their morning chores. Highly recommended if you’re exploring or playing golf around St Andrews and Dundee.

Audrey and her son Ian looked after my son and I very well for the couple of days we stayed. Both the room and bathroom were spacious, clean and well kept. The breakfast freshly cooked was a real pleasure, and we discovered the added extras of the full "Scottish " Breakfast. Thank you very much we enjoyed your company and hospitality . Happy Birthday for this week.

Another year on. Back at the Leuchars Air Show and back to the Vicarsford Lodge. This is really a home from home for us now. Audrey and Alec always give us 110% attention nothing is to much bother. We always have the family rooms and love them as there is so much space. If you go here you can be assured of a very warm welcome and enjoyable stay. We love this place and have booked for next year already.
