We arrived about 2:30PM and was greeted by Mitch the inn keeper. He was so pleasant and funny which is exactly what we needed after a 4 hour drive. We were given our room key and headed to our room on the 2nd floor. The room was so cozy! Plenty spacious for the two of us and spotless. The inn... More

Stayed at the Whaler Inn for the weekend in November to celebrate wedding anniversary. The stay was great. Staff is helpful and friendly. The location of the inn is great, walking distance to most of the restuarants and shops, across street from river, good view of drawbridge. About 10 minute walk to Mystic Seaport. Really did not have to move... More

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! Perfect. This place is the best spot in town! We came for a fun family weekend with kids and adults. We walked to all meals and shopping. Discounted tickets available for the seaport and aquarium are the best price and easily purchased at the front desk. Cookies, tea and coffee for you in the lobby all day... More

We stayed here for one night in October. The location was perfect and close to everything and that is what you pay for. The room was just ok. Bed wasn't that comfortable and the layout of the room was ok. Bathroom you could tell was recently renovated, but the shower was barely warm enough for comfort! The room was very... More

Our location certainly can not be beat. I am delighted that you took full advantage of it. I am sorry that you did not find the bed to be comfortable or the shower barely warm enough for your comfort. I will speak with our engineer and look into the issue. Thank you for staying with us. We were very happy with our stay at the Whaler's Inn. In town for a professional conference for only one night. Loved being right in town with shops, restaurants and the Seaport steps from our room. Room was comfortable, quiet, charming decor. The staff was friendly and helpful. Nice common rooms, nice selection at breakfast. Easy to find, easy to... More

Really enjoyed The Whaler Inn. Great old age atmosphere with cheerful and helpful staff. We stumbled on the Inn by accident. What a find. Right in the middle of everything. Laid back. Comfortable with all you need. Great base to explore the surrounding region. Coming from Australia it was like finding the hidden America.

Great location in downtown Mystic, CT. The rooms are clean and the Inn serves breakfast. We spent two nights and walked around the town, visited the old Harbor, and had two excellent dinners at a restaurant across the street.

On a weekend away, my husband and I were supposed to stay in Massachusettes, but at the last minute our plans changed...but now needed somewhere to stay in Connecticut. As we drove through Mystic Connecticut, we were loving the town, and all the people walking around, and came across The Whaler's Inn down by the Mystic River. There was one... More

My mother and I stopped overnight in Mystic and stayed at the Whaler's Inn. We stayed in the historic 1865 house and the room was good. The only two problems were the toilet kept running and there were not directions on how to operate the heater in the room. Other than that, the breakfast was great-including fantastic coffee and items... More
