Hotel is a DUMP!!!! If every hotel wasn’t sold out due to parent weekend; I would have never stayed there with my son. Carpets in hallway are lifted, tub is shaky, no hot water for 15 minutes, room was very very dated. Must have bugs because something bite my ankle. Breakfast was so gross that I didn’t even have coffee. I tried to call the manager 10 days straight but no call back and staff kept saying that the manager was in meetings all day?? NO WAY. I was charged 205.00 and want some compensation which they are ignoring me. The BEST THING that place has to offer is LEAH. She was at the front desk and was incredible!!! If I owed a hotel, I would hire her immediately. She was polite and helpful. She even stayed after her shift to assist me since I checked in so late and needed linen. I’m sure she is not recognized for a great job but I’m hear to say thank you Leah!!!! Second floor is the PET Floor which was filthy and spelled nasty (I have 3 dogs so love animals) but this was insane. I was moved to the 5th floor which was not much better. Just walk the halls and hope to not trip on the raised carpets. I found out that Windham just purchased the hotel so hopefully they can get this place up to par. PLEASE PLEASE post the REAL HOTEL PICTURES NOT THE LIE THATS UP ON THE SITE. If I don’t get some compensation, I’m going further with this because of the principle.…
Much like other reviews, the place is pretty run down. It took about 10 minutes to get hot water from the shower, carpet definitely has seen better days. But the staff was very friendly and the beds were comfortable. Highway noise didn’t bother us too bad but we were exhausted from our long drive so maybe that helped. All in all I probably wouldn’t stay at this hotel again.
We checked into La Quinta last night and were horrified by the first room we were given, which smelled of cigarette smoke and featured a stained, torn loveseat, dirty carpeting, and a flickering bathroom light. We asked for a different room and were quickly reassigned to a room that was clean and smelled fine, though still a little shabby. The carpeting all over the hotel is in terrible shape. The location is right next to the highway - it is loud. We changed hotels for the rest of our stay in New Haven.
I had a good stay at this hotel for one night. It is a slightly older building but the room was clean and the staff friendly. I didn't particularly like the area but I felt safe enough in the morning to walk alone to the train station.
The place was ill kept, the floors were in bad shape the moment you walk in the lobby this was noticeable. The rugs in the hallways leading to the rooms were bumpy and had dirt tracks. As for the room, there are no words to describe. There is nothing there but a coffee maker, you will have no fridge and no microwave. The AC was not working and the bed had a very visible slump, if you used the sink in the bathroom it would not drain properly. I have seem Motels on the side of the road that were in better condition than this place. I would have left were it not for the lack of rooms elsewhere and we were exhausted. I would not recommend this place and I would definitely not come back here.
