I don't normally write reviews, and try to be objective when reading them but was really compelled to write this one. This property is a biohazard, specially in the age of covid. * the room had a strong smell of ozone disinfecting that lead me to believe the were trying to cover up mold growth. * the freezer in the the fridge has to be defrosted and cleaned. The fridge door has what looks like black mold growing on it * microwave was also dirty. Which didn't really make a difference as the door was shattered and had a hole in it making the thing unusable. * linens were stained and appear old * throw blanket had holes on them (Will not even speculate on when top comforter was laundered with the condition of the other bedding) * wall to wall carpet was in two pieces (it appears they tried to piece together two pieces to cover the floor) * atleast toilet, tub and sink appeared clean. Unfortunately shower curtains were musty. Light fixture was full of insects carcasses. * The light switch was broken which dbentcreating a hole in the wall exposing electrical connections which is a big danger. I had been on the road for 24 hours by that point and just needed a place to just quickly recharge ... figured it couldn't be any worse then other lower budget motels, I was wrong. ( I stayed just long enough to freshen up before hitting the road again) I did not ask for a refund as I figured they could use all the help they could get. The owners need to shut down and renovate to hospitality standards. Or at least health and safety standards…
I was in good sleep middle of the night somebody was knocking my door and had to get up and really it was scary like somebody was dealing something. Cant go back to that place next time better to live in danbury for safety
Booked in for 3 nights for a work trip. Got into the room and it stank of damp. A load of flies and bugs all over the place. Went back and asked to see another room, same story. On the plus side the WiFi was working so I could get out the laptop and quickly book into a normal hotel back in Danbury. To be fair to the guy at the reception he didn’t put up a fight when I asked for a refund. It must be a regular occurrence. Don’t take the chance, pay the few bucks extra a night and go to a Danbury hotel
Old fashioned hotel. The only hotel in the area. Reception is behind a plexiglass wall. No lobby. Plexiglass appears to be bulletproof...but I don’t think it is. The way they work is you pay in full before you get the key. Mine was a one night reservation. Rate was only about $65 per night. I left at about 8 AM But .... here is the big problem. On the day I checked out, they charged my card for two more nights. When I called to get the charge removed they said they would check the cameras to see what happened. This looks like a scam, outright credit card fraud. I have reported the incident to American Express. I will NEVER stay there again
Worst motel I've slept in. Nothing worked in the room. It smelled like mold, the beds were uncomfortable, and dirty. Luckily I was able to get a refund without a fight. Highly suggest you stay away from here.
