My wife and I spent our last anniversary here. After we spent the better part of the afternoon spoiling ourselves across the street at the vineyard, my wife surprised me with an overnight stay at the Inn. The Inn is very nice with a great view overlooking Lake Warmaug. The rooms were excellant, the dining experience, German/Austrian fusion, BEST I've...

I recommend this wonderful place to everyone I know. I have always had a great meal. It is usually a celebration and never disappoints. Great food, fun, service, view, and atmosphere, Go for it, you will be very pleased. Additionally, try the duck or the prime rib and Toblerone sundae... Fantastic

My husband and I and 3 other couples enjoyed a lovely fall day lunching at Hopkins Inn in New Preston CT today. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their Austrian inspired meal. You must try their desserts which are out of this world delicious. The wait staff is very knowledgeable about the menu and pleasant and attentive. Lake Waramaug and the lovely fall...

Have to be honest--we have loved coming here year after year not because we could easily confuse the amenities of the Inn with the Trump Plaza or a Regency Hyatt, but precisely because can't. Old world charm oozes from every pore, and at some creature costs...so be aware. That said the Inn rests on the banks of the outrageously inviting...

Wonderful experience. The views, the building, the food. This is a classic old inn. Three dining rooms. Two salon rooms. We loved our stay here. For an antique room, the beds are very comfortable. Tons of extra pillows. Central air conditioning.

This place is very charming, but the service we experienced was not in line with the room rates. Upon our arrival, there was no one to greet us at the front desk. After waiting for a while, one of the staff, busy with restaurant service, came over. We had major luggage, and since our room was on the third floor,...

An historical inn which looks out over a lake. There is an outdoor restaurant in summer and cozy wood beamed tavern rooms in the winter. The food is wonderful as is the service. I think it is a hit with the locals. The rooms are old-school, with flowered wall paper and antique furnishings- all delightful. There is a vineyard with...

I stayed at the Hopkins Inn two separate times, once with my boyfriend and once with my mother, and both times were wonderful! Beth and her staff are more than hospitable, the rooms are extremely cute and cozy, you can't beat the view, the location is ideal, and the food is beyond amazing! I've eaten breakfast and dinner at the...
