I have been staying at The Royal Inn recently while in a period of transition. While it may not be the Beverly Hills Ritz Carlton (not sure if there is such a place but you know what I mean) it has been more than satisfactory for me. No fancy frills but I have a bed, a flat screen TV, WiFi, AC/Heat, a microwave, a fridge and a hot shower. The place is clean and the managers run a tight ship. Some have criticized the “no visitors” rule but I completely understand. It eliminates the one person renting a room and next thing you know there is a party going on like the movie Project X. Also, one person renting a room and then next thing you know there are 119 people sleeping in it. On another note, I have found the owner and the managers to be great and kind people. They have been a big help to me during a tough time and have placed trust in me. These are not the kind of people you would want to take advantage of though I’m sure people have. Yet they have been so kind and understanding of me and my situation and have trusted me. Bottom line: If you want to go stay in a several hundred dollar a night place then be my guest. I’ll stay at The Royal Inn. …
I couldn't stay there even on a bad night. The room gave off a depressing smell and the bed sheets seemed dirty and worn. One towel was available in the bathroom. I drove home rather than stay there for the night.
Let's be clear - the niceness of the management aside, this is a bare bones place to stay without frills. While clean with working A/C, the place looks very worn, sheets had cigarette burns (in a non smoking room), stained carpet, furniture looked like it was well worn from a thrift store, sink was pulled away from the wall, and the floor very uneven. Hallways were filled with cobwebs and dingy. But it was clean, had flat screen TV, and a place to bunk for a very low price.
What a wonderful place to stay. The people at the front desk are very very nice and helpful. We came in at 2am and they were as friendly as can be. The gentleman that was there showed us to our room and made sure we knew how to operate the air conditioning and tv. The room was spotless and the bathroom was immaculate. I would most certainly recommend this place to my friends and family.
I am very glad this hotel finally has a good front desk service and cleaner rooms. This hotel has very reasonable rates for daily and weekly stays. The front desk is very helpful with anything you may need. They will also take care of any noisy and inconsiderate people that may be bothering other guest. Nice Flat Screen TV's on the 3rd floor.
