Property was clean, including our room. Pandemic health protocols were followed by all personal. Pros: Wonderful restaurant and pleasant accommodating staff that we've encountered during both, breakfast and dinner. Very nice winery. Good selection, personable service. Cons: Really outdated room decor with minimal functionality. Some outlets were not in working order, no night tables, only one chair in the room for two...bathroom was as clean as an old vanity, etc could be. Overall - For the price, disappointed with the room (pictures on-line were deceiving) but pleasantly surprised with the restaurant and surroundings. Will not come back for overnight stay unless rooms are completely remodeled.
Nos paramos a desayunar con mi hijo y su familia que vive en Connecticut. Un lugar tranquilo con maravillosas vistas y gente encantadora. El típico desayuno americano: completo por no decir extraordinario.
The room was pretty and clean, but, there are a few things you should be aware of -- no radio, no television and no air conditioning -- we were told they had air conditioning but it just needed to be turned on and we asked twice to have it turned on and still no air -- we did have a fan that was tucked away in the closet so we made due with that. You had to ask the kitchen staff for ice kind of a pain. There were wasps in the hallway and when we told someone about it, he made a joke about it; sorry I don't want to be stung by a wasp. The location next to the winery was nice and we had a pretty view of the lake. We also ate at the restaurant and that wasn't a good experience. They put us at a table in the corner and then forgot about us -- we felt ignored and had to hunt someone down for every thing -- it took 20 minutes to get a glass of water -- 45 more minutes to even order our dinner and don't even get me started on getting a check. It was well over 3 hours just for dinner. The food was decent but wasn't so great that it made up for the service.…
We have been having a yearly meeting at the inn for years! The food is good, but I even found the quality of that to have declined a bit. I definitely found it’s not worth the price point. We always have a price fixe menu. Now, it no longer includes an individual desert but a small selection of a few deserts cut up (perhaps 5 slices) to share among 15 people. Additionally, for 33$ pp a soft drink not being included? I was also not impressed with the manager...I am not even sure who she was. I went to find our waitress to ask something. This woman coming up from the basement wine bottles in hand asked if she could help me. I Told her I was looking for my waitress. Her response was, “well there’s a waiter right there.” Perhaps our group should find elsewhere for next year’s meeting.…
We had dinner here this past Saturday evening. The staff were very accommodating for our semi large party. Based on the "Iffy" weather and elderly parents we changed from inside dining to outside and back again. They did a wonderful job flip flopping our reservation until we arrived. Last minute we changed to our original plan to dine AL fresco being that the weather held off in terms of rain and brutal humidity. One of the servers, apparently, had our inside table set with linens and fresh flowers which we did not have the opportunity to enjoy. Hopefully a different large party was able to reap the benefit of her hard efforts. The food is very good as was the birthday cake we had made for several members of our party. All in all a beautiful afternoon accented with a pleasant and accommodating staff.…
