I've wanted to go to this hotel for 13 years, long before it was part of the Mayflower collection, but it just never happened. When the opportunity suddenly presented itself one weekend in September, I jumped at the chance and was very excited. All that ended once we got to the room and sadly, continued throughout our brief, one-night stay....

We were in town and stopped for lunch. We were so impressed with how beautiful the grounds are. There is even a separate building for the spa! Inside was decorated beautifully for the holidays. The staff was lovely and the food was incredible!

Located in a most beautiful part of Connecticut... filled with antique shops, roadside stands, etc. Beautiful drive. Pulling up to the Inn you feel immediate peace. The grounds are lovely!! Inside you are warmly welcomed like an old friend. The rooms are just beyond gorgeous... depending on which you choose, you could have a large soaking tub, gas fireplace (to...

We had lunch and a facial. My mom and I went because, yes, we are huge Gilmore Girls fans and wanted to see what the real Stars Hollow is like. Well this place made me feel like a princess. We definitely splurged, we are not eating out for a month but it was worth it.

My daughter convinced me to reserve the only remaining room - a very, very, very expensive suite - when we were called from the waiting list during the Gilmore Girls Fan Festival weekend. From our welcoming glass of champagne to our valet assisted departure, we enjoyed every minute of the evenings we spent here - fireplace in the outer room,...

The Mayflower is a lovely get away and we enjoy staying there! Good food, nice bar, old world charm, wonderful spa, but some things need attention especially at those prices. The spa closes too early, the pool tiles around the edge need cleaning, but the spa services are very good. The Alterton is the best place to stay and has...

Travelled to Washington Connecticut in mid October to see a massive colour sensation across the state. The trees were brilliant to see and especially in the serene environment of the Mayflower Grace. The grounds were spectacular which was enhanced by the friendly staff and the lovely rooms. The only disappointment was the two restaurant ares within the resort had the...

We could only afford to stay in this hotel for one night. We went at peak foliage times and although this is a very expensive hotel, I felt it was absolutely worth the treat because the grounds are simply amazing. The entire stay was first rate. The outdoor pool was great. It was so warm, I swam in the late...

The hotel is more like a lovely guest house. The staff were all warm and made us feel comfortable. The rooms all have a lovely garden view and the food is amazing. My favorite is the spa and spa amenities, such as the pool and whirlpool. The therapists are all seasoned therapists and the spa director is innovative with new...

We had a wonderful lunch in the dining room. Before lunch we walked around the Shakespeare Garden and just sat on the Adirondack chairs looking at the beautiful fall colors. We were there for the Brunch, One of us had the eggs Benedict ( the best we've ever had) and the rest of us had the Hamburger with french fries....
