This was our first time in the Lake District and Meadowcroft was one of the reasons our stay there was perfect. The room was very comfortable, spotless, and well equipped. The breakfast was superior. Everything about it was to our liking. We highly recommend Meadowcroft to any traveller who wants to enjoy the Lake District.

This was a last minute booking and the slightly cheaper double room took us away from Windermere to Ings. Unsure what to expect but confident , thanks to previous reviews, we arrived to a most warm welcome from Rosemary. This place is warm, comfortable, clean, friendly and the breakfast is superb. I urge you to try this place as a...

We decided to stay at Meadowcroft (family with young children) for a weekend holiday in the lake district. The location of the hotel was excellent, just a few miles from the main attractions close to Lake Windermere. Previous reviews mentioned the proximity of the guest house to the main road, but I saw this as an advantage. Our hosts (Rosemary...

Just got back from 4 nights' stay at Meadowcroft. As a full time wheelchair user, a fully accessible property and a bedroom with a wet-room is such a find! Great to find hosts who understand the needs and issues of the wheelchair guest! But it would be just as lovely for able-bodied guests as well. Add to that superb breakfasts,...

The stay at this place was great. Homely B'fast with great options. Rosemary and Linda are great hosts and perfect in hospitality. Bit far from Windermere..not suitable if someone wants to stay close the Windermere lake.

Wonderful guest house with a wonderful owner. The room was very comfortable and had everything you could possibly need. The breakfast was the best I have had in a B&B in a long time. Rosemary was a wonderful host and was very welcoming. The location is lovely and is very close to a local pub who brew their own beer...

When you are travelling and you stumble on a B&B like Meadowcroft, you just do not want to leave. Rosemary & Linda just get it! From the warm welcome to the clean & tastefully furnished rooms with double glazing, to the generous breakfast and friendly banter, one could be mistaken for thinking they were Aussies. Well, Linda has lived in...
