The Beacon Hotel has a great location on the Delaware shore with a view of the salt marsh out front. Lewes is an adorable beach town that is very walkable. Just behind the Beacon Hotel I had an easy walk to down town and the wharf area. The hotel has retail shops on the first floor and the hotel rooms... More

We were part of a biking tour on an April weekend, and enjoyed the stay here. The rooms are fairly basic--what you'd expect at beach areas--but large and substantial. The entrance is very modest from the front parking lot in the middle of a strip mall. There are 2 lobbies with comfortable chairs on both sides of the reservation desk.... More

We had booked this adorable Bed & Breakfast but there was a error and we were greeted at the Beacon Motel like we were family. The lack of elevator was a shock for us overpackers but we managed to get our luggage up and down without much duress. The room was average at best. We discovered Lewes which was an... More

I was a little skeptical when we arrived at the motel. Wasnt sure what to expect as we usually stay in a chain hotel out on coastal highway. The lobby was very homey and family/group friendly. The room was neat and clean, although ac unit was a bit noisy. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with questions and recommendations.... More

This hotel has some good features: location: close to "downtown" Lewes shopping, beach and Cape Henlopen State park, it's clean, quiet, has ample parking,it appeals to families with small children and the front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The down sides: It is so outdated with décor! The lobby is "junky"- over run by trike bikes and toys. I... More

We were in a pinch as the hotel we'd reserved in Dewey Beach did not have our reservation, and EVERYTHING in the area was sold out! We called the Beacon & were relieved to snag their last room. We loved the friendly staff/owners. Very personable. Overall we enjoyed our stay as we would not have discovered the charming town of... More

Lewes is the best kept beach resort secret. Basically, it's a boater's town with access to the Delaware Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. It's a beach resort with a real-town feel. Small, not overly commercialized, quiet, but loaded with great restaurants and upscale shops. The Beacon is an older, recently renovated hotel with a homey feel. It is quiet, clean,... More

Stay here several times a year. Always the same great family that runs the business. As stated by others, smack dab near the middle of town, very accessible to all adventures. Great pool for the family everything is very well kept. Not a chain motel, so you get friendly staff who all have "skin in the game"...very clean. Families with... More

Plenty of good parking. Close to beach and Cape Henlopen and town. Took 20 minutes in heavy traffic to get to Rehobeth. Clean room , amenities, towels , fridge, and tv. Would give 5 stars if they would update their bedspreads( underside pilling from washing) Nice pool and area which the children enjoyed until sunset. If staying for a longer visit... More

We were first time Beacon Motel visitors. The motel was within walking distance to food, stores and attractions. The room was clean and neat. The bathroom was well equipped with towels and soap. We would definitely visit the area and this Motel again.
