We visited Hotel Rodney the weekend before 4th of July. Stayed two nights. We’d never visited Lewes, Delaware, or the Eastern Shore. It was a great getaway (just 3 hours from DC). It exceeded expectations. First, the hotel is charming. A far cry from the ubiquitous chains lining Route 1 (Costal Highway). Second, the town is authentic and has a...

We stayed at hotel Rodney for a weekend in June. Our room was an executive room, the smallest, but that was explained to us when making reservations. Room was small clean and very handsome. Staff was helpful in a beautiful lobby. Best feature of hotel is location on second street in heart of restaurant, shopping and historic district. We are...

We stayed at HR for 5 nights. We had a king suite. The room was very nice, the AC works great, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice. The manager Kathy was able to address most concerns. The cons: 1 The noise levels..we had some young children above us that ran everywhere in the room and you could...

With 100 degree weather and the need for a quick getaway, the decision was made to drive to Lewes and check on the availability of a small room I had inquired about the day before. Sure enough, it was available and a smart decision it was. The front desk person, Jody, was lovely and could not have been more accommodating....

Just back from a three day stay in lovely Lewes, De. Stayed at Hotel Rodney and found t to be totally charming. We had a corner room on the third floor which, although somewhat small by the usual hotel chain standards, was well designed, very comfortable and scrupulously clean. We ate locally, biked to Rehoboth, walked on the nearby beach,...

We stopped in Lewes,DE to take the ferry on our way back to NJ from the outer banks. We wanted to stay overnight to rest and break up the long drive. I searched the night before we were to arrive for a hotel that could accomidate my husband and I and our two small kids (5 and 3) in one...

We visited Lewes for the Christmas House tour, and Hotel Rodney was one of the few hotels available even with booking a month in advance. They don't require a minimum stay, which is nice for a weekend. But the rooms were very pricy and extremely small. There is no breakfast, but they offered us $3 off for a local restaurant....

This hotel was pretty expensive for the off season. The room was very small (delux room) and the walls where so thin we could hear everything our neighbor said. The bed was lumpy and the pillows were flat. I will not go back here.

Stayed at this quaint, clean, and very accommodating boutique hotel the day after Christmas 2011. Not too many people in the hotel or in the very nice town of Lewes, DE, and that made our stay even better. Two types of rooms are available at the Rodney, so check ahead of time. Ours had a queen bed, not too much...

This is more of a small hotel rather than a B&B or Inn. My expectations of a B&B or Inn are a bit higher than a hotel and Hotel Rodney did not provide that "little bit more". The PROS: The hotel was nicely decorated. Very trendy and modern. The lobby is inviting (could have used some music though), with friendly...
