Detailed Reviews
The St. Regis Bal Harbour is an absolute gem where every detail has been thoughtfully crafted for an unforgettable stay. From the moment we arrived, the ambiance and attention to detail were impressive.
The beach experience was truly exceptional. Soft, clean sand, the gentle ocean waves, and comfortable loungers made it the perfect setting for relaxation. Everything we needed was provided, from plush towels to private changing areas. We ordered non-alcoholic mojitos without sugar, and they surprised us with delightful sugarcane sticks, which added a nice touch to the drink.
Our lunch at the hotel was just as outstanding. We each ordered a salad, and the quality of ingredients, the flavor combinations, and the dressing were all superb.
The St. Regis Bal Harbour is truly a place where luxury and comfort come together for an exceptional experience. We already want to comeback!

Used a lot of Marriott points for a 5 night stay for my 40th birthday. Hotel is amazing, super luxurious. Rooms and balconies are large with beautiful views of the ocean. Hotel upgraded us to a nicer room on a higher floor, and provided a complimentary bottle of wine with a platter which was a nice touch. Everyone says hello and the general feel of the hotel is very high end. Bottles of water were basically unlimited (many given by housekeeping or you could ask at the pool or front desk). Hot coffee is provided downstairs until 10am. Housekeeping was very attentive and there was nightly turndown service. The couple of issues were:
1) No towels or service after 6pm by the pool. I get that service closes down, but how hard would it be to have some towels by the pool after 6pm, even self-serve. We saw person after person ask about this, and it seems like a very easy fix.
2) Resort fee. If you're charging $1K minimum for this hotel, drop the $50/day resort fee for things nobody uses. To me, resort fee screams money grab and takes away from the luxury feel of the hotel.
I'd give this hotel a 4.5 overall based off price, and fixing the few issues above would bring it up to a 5. Would definitely return.

For a marquee St. Regis property, it is obvious that the impact of not having a GM on property is effecting service. The rooms were well appointed and spacious, I will share that positive side of the visit.
When I checked in, as a Marriot Platinum status member, I was expecting my St. Regis welcome bottle of water or glass of champagne. Nothing was offered and was advised that it was removed an hour before from reception. Huh?
Upon entry to the beautiful and well appointed room, I called to the butler and asked for a bucket of ice, two additional pillows and 10 additional cloths hangers. The ice came 45 minutes later. I asked about the pillows and hangers and was advised "that will promptly come from room service.
48 hours later, the above arrived. When I commented to the front desk 72 hours in that I missed my welcome bubbles and worse, the things that I ordered from the butler, there was a sincere apololgy. later that evening, a bottle of champagne and two glasses arrived at my room when we returned from dinner. Without ice. Oh, and still no hangers and pillows.
Finally tracked down a nice housekeeper on the floor when leaving for the day and was told she would handle, which actually happened (72 hours in).
Food at Atlantique for breakfast was very good but very very pricey.
The pool was nicely situation but the service was hit or miss. One day lots of love ie complementary snacks. The next day, I had to walk the floor down to get cocktails. No one appeared to be really managing the adult pool. A DJ oddly showed up at the kids pool on Saturday and wow, pretty major volume wake up. I cannot imagine anyone in floors 2-10 being thrilled, facing the kids pool. Way to unpleasant to remain at adult pool. The thump thump thump drowned out the nice sound of the beach waves.
Wish I could say that i was impressed with the St Regis. I was not on this trip. Will likely not return.
PS. A bumped into a resident who told me that the condo owners were suing the building owner for building safety issues unchecked. That cannot be good.

I am a lifetime titanium Marriott member, with 29 years at their highest status, and over 3000 nights. We stayed at the hotel 5 times before the pandemic and felt it was the best property, and best managed, of any Marriott or Starwood had. Our favorite hotel! We were upgraded to suites on our previous stays as a matter of routine if one was available.
Post pandemic times have changed for the worst here. Elite members are no longer offered suite upgrades for free, even if they have multiple suites empty. We had a 1:00 pm check-in confirmed by the mobile app, and after driving there had to wait until 4:00 pm to get into our room. The room was a standard room which is equivalent than most Marriott Resort hotels. The furnishing, curtains, towels, etc. were showing significant wear. Housekeeping did not come to clean the room until time to get ready for dinner, after pushing the light for service early each morning.
On the plus side the restaurant staff and pool staff were fantastic, but dealing with the front desk management and assistants was frustrating as they were unapologetically indifferent to my loyalty to Marriott over 40 years! To add insult to injury, I requested a late checkout when booking and reconfirmed with Bonvoy Member services that we would receive one, and it was a fight all the way up until normal check-out time the day of departure before they granted us an additional 2 hours. At this hotel Bonvoy status means very little any longer. In our opinion the property is beautiful, the breakfast is great, the pool and food staff is fantastic, but the respect of loyalty goes back to providing upgrades if the suites are not booked otherwise, and making elite members feel valued!

We stayed there last week for my birthday. It is on the beach in Bal Harbour right across the street from Bal Harbour shops. The off season is apparently August and September so we had a good rate of around 400 a night. We were on the 9th floor, room 915. It is a small hotel of about 200 rooms, we were one a maybe 2 dozen people there and a few celebrities.
The hotel is an older hotel that has been modernized. Our room had an excellent layout including my preferred separately closer off toilet area, and really nice patio with large lounge chairs etc. The bed was fine and linens and toiletries were what you expect at a 5 star hotel. The staff we excellent as expected, the pool area was nice as was the beach. The jacuzzi area was under construction. The spa was also really nice and our massage was great. They also put out a really nice spread for my birthday. We also eat at their restaurants and I liked the French pastry place the best. The guest are what you typically expect with a large percentage of them from overseas.
The only thing I thank they could approve

Staff went above and beyond to anticipate and accommodate your needs . They are very customer service oriented and serve you with genuine hospitality. Sofia and Nina were very accommodating and hospitable with the special occasion we were celebrating and it couldn’t have been planned better. Charlene was very friendly at the check in and I was amazed that the 3 rooms in our party were accommodated next to each other. Pool and beach service was top notch and they think outside of the box to make you feel at ease and comfortable.
Now , the tv remote in two of the rooms has their battery running out and the guests in my party took extremely longtime to be able to sleep and to find out how to shut down the tv which was annoying especially we went to bed late and it was a very serious problem for them .
We also asked for a linen set and a blanket, it took 50 minutes for the items to be delivered and I had to call and text 3 times in order for the items to be delivered and one time the person on the phone was annoyed about me asking for the items status .
Finally I was surprised to receive my welcome amenity for just one room even though I was paying for all 3 and I was physically staying . Called Marriott and was confirmed that my Titanium benefits should be applied for the 3 rooms I was staying at. I was staying in a deeply discounted rate so I didn’t complain but felt embarrassed when I wasn’t straight offered
Overall all amazing beautiful elite hotel and a very unique experience. Highly recommend if you looking for the ultimate hospitality experience

This review is of the reservation process. Have stayed at the St. Regis Bal Harbour before and was planning a return trip. Booked reservation online. Cancellation policy was (screenshotted) 7 days before, no charge, after that, one night’s charge. Said IF a prepayment is required, it would be non refundable. It did NOT say a prepayment was required. Received confirmation email that said prepayment of $1,700 approximately would be charged. Confused about which was correct, I called. The representative read me a completely different cancellation policy. Given that there were three different cancellation policies, that were contradictory, I cancelled the reservation and will stay somewhere else. Please fix your reservation system so that the policy listed when making the reservation is the same one provided after making the reservation and ensure that your representatives have access to that same policy, not a different third one. Made a reservation at the Ritz Carlton, another Bonvoy location, through the same Marriott web site, and their reservation policy before booking and after were exactly the same.

My 3 night stay at this hotel was overwhelmingly full of problems that were caused or enabled by poor management and quality control. The experience was 2 star even though the facility itself looks like it's 5 star (but full of maintenance problems ranging from broken plumbing to broken exercise equipment and tepid hot tub). We had to move rooms 3 times and each issue was met with poor and slow communication by their understaffed front desk. My stay was bad enough that I convinced management to fully comp it, yet I am still unsatisfied enough by their complete lack of follow through that I am taking the time to write this review. Each time I called or visited the front desk to discuss a problem I have to wait 10+ minutes on hold.

We were greeted with champagne upon arrival and the concierge took time to find us great dinner reservations. . We are Marriott members and were upgraded to an amazing suite; the room was fantastic, with two great balconies and two bathrooms. The lounge chairs on the balcony were very comfortable. The bathtub was a good size. The curtains blocked out all of the light, no gaps. The only things missing were a steamer and Bluetooth speaker. The room came with 2 butlers, which we never really understood their role. There was nightly turn down service. The pool areas were great, we never had to fight for a spot, but the pricey cocktails seemed to be lacking in alcohol. The breakfast buffet had a lot to offer. The ceviche and some of the other lunch options were very tasty, just overpriced as expected. All of this was fantastic, but the front desk customer service as well as phone service was lackluster.

mtb1443 asked a question Dec 2021
Washington DC, District of Columbia40 contributions73 helpful votesA few questions. I have an upcoming stay and I’m nervous to pay $1,500 a night with so many reviews reporting reduced services and rude notes.
1. Is is true all guests are left a rude note under the door stating the check out time?
