Just superb service and rooms. Located at the upper Collins this hotel is little off from Miami Beach activities, but just next to Bal Harbour Mall. This is one of the top hotel in Miami Beach and worth the price, close to 1000/night. Pool and beach services are just fantastic. P

In May, I visited Bal Harbour which has been an annual trip. I was placed in a room with a malfunctioning shower that wouldn't turn off. I ended up falling in the shower because it wouldn't turn off and the water was standing in the shower.

In the end, I paid $3k + my doctor fe

Was here 4 years ago and have seen many hotels slip in much less time. Not here. Still fantastic service, uber clean and staff are still fantastic. The car service for getting around (a Bentley) is a great bonus as well. Still a fantastic hotel. Bravo.

Does the hotel offer day passes to access St. Regis beach area? I was planning to stay in the hotel but recent lawsuit about toxic exposure made me worried.
Guests can access the beach daily

Hello! We are coming to stay for a babymoon this October. I have a couple of questions: (a) Will the bartenders make mocktail versions of the daily drink? (b) Are there cabanas or anything like that to rent on the beach or is it chairs only? (c) Has anyone done or arranged a sunset sail or anything like that in the area?
Hello! To answer your 1st question a) Yes, I do believe the bartenders make mocktail versions of drinks. B) yes there are cabana bed on the beach you can rent. When I was there recently..they had umbrellas, chairs, and service on the beach. They have Day beds you can rent. Call the hotel and ask, they are amazing with customer satisfaction. The beach before the hurricane this year had about 600 chairs, now they are down to 200. The beach is beautiful, but there is seaweed. However, st Regis tries their best to keep it away from their property with a tractor service morning and close. C) sunset sail I have not heard of from the hotel directly. However, there are plenty of great options on TripAdvisor to choose from!! Hope this helps.

I know there is beach service at this property for adult beverages. Are you allowed to bring your own down to the beach? Thanks
Your best bet is to be discreat about bringing your own adult drinks, however bottled water is totally acceptable.

How much sun do the Astor Oceanfront Junior suite patios get? Is there another suite's balcony above these balconies that blocks the sun for a large portion of the day? And are there two chaise lounges on those patios? Thanks!
I stayed in a Junior suite and we had sunlight most of the day. It’s a fantastic layout and we really enjoyed the room. It feels like an apartment.

Do Spg Gold members ever get upgrades during January stays?
Occasionally, but it will likely be limited to something like a higher floor, rather than a suite. Ask politely about upgrades when you check-in and see what happens! (Although technically the benefit is meant to be ‘upgrades’ within the room tier booked)
