The location is very good. It's just a 30 minutes drive range from islaramada to key west. Key deer are everywhere in the campground. The tent site is very big and every site has tree shades. The whole campground is like a very harmony and friendly community. Wifi is good at some sites but also bad at some sites. The...

My family and I used to tent camp at Big Pine Key campground over 40 years ago. It was a great family vacation. If finally had a chance to go back and relive some childhood memories with my wife. Being a bit older, I now do my camping in an RV. the camp ground is now called Big Pine Key...

Beautiful, interesting, and the snorkeling was great. The fort is magnificent and the surroundings are breathtaking. We took the Yankee Feedom to the national park. It took 2.5 hours there and back but the crew was very helpful and entertaining. Over-all a great family experience

Probably the best RV resort in the Keys. Only down side is noise from hiway bridge from some of the sites. Other than that this little RV park is superb, if you can get a space. Fills up quick in winter and summer. Perfect location for fishing, swimming, sunning, biking and day trips to Key West or Marathon. Clean and...

I camped here this weekend with some family and friends. We were in the rustic camping section, and we were literally right next to the water. We walked out and could see the ocean, and we had the breeze blowing off the ocean pretty much the entire time we were there. We felt very safe at the campground, so we...

I really can't say enough about this place. The staff is awesome the place is super clean. They have most anything you need at their store and don't even jack up the prices like a convenience store does. We didn't camp but stayed in the 2 bedroom mobile home with full kitchen. 4 adults and 2 kids slept comfortably. Caught...

I have been camping here since 1978. It has been run by the same family all these years. The third generation is now running the daily operation and doing a great job. Their are daily activities for the young and old. during the summer Lobster season they put on a play with some of the campers playing the parts and...

We stayed on the canal. After using their boat ramp, the boat stayed right outside our door. Jason and Julie in the Ships store are the best. That store has everything from bait to beer to well, you know what I mean. Lots of stuff. Nice clean room with plenty of space. Nice showers, instant hot water and fluffy white...

Great place, we've gone annually for past 5 years. However, disappointed in this last trip. First we were told we'd be on 1 site and wound up in another, less desirable location. That wasn't so bad, especially since it's clear they don't want to guarantee sites... but then we ended up being placed near some very loud campers! Set up...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Big Pine Key Fishing Lodge (BPKFL) occupies ten pristine acres between the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean. Perfectly positioned in the Middle Keys at MM33, the BPKFL offers a friendly home-base from which to enjoy all the Florida Keys has to offer. The BPKFL has several lodging options to choose from including efficiencies, motel rooms, rustic campsites, electric/water RV sites and even waterfront sites. With a boat ramp and canals, you can put your boat in the water (and leave it in the water) during your stay. This idea of "boat-side" camping gives you the freedom to jump in your boat and go when the mood strikes. Our camp store is stocked with everything you need to be comfortable at camp and out on the water. This includes food, beverages and snacks plus fishing and marine supplies like marine gas, bait and basic water sports equipment. We are one of the few campgrounds in the area where you can come with an empty cooler and get everything you need right on property. Recreation is a big part of life in the Keys and at the BPKFL we have the facilities to help you make the most of your vacation. Play ping-pong, take a long walk on the beach or just relax under a palm tree; do as much or as little as you care to do. From our roof top pool to our calendar of parties and planned activities, BPKFL has something for visitors of all ages. If you need anything at all, please call our office and a member of the Big Pine Key Fishing Lodge will return your call within 24 hours. Whether this is your first visit to BPKFL or your fiftieth, we look forward to sharing out little slice of paradise with you. ... more   less
