Try to get there as soon as they open at 11am. We've been here twice, the first time the restaurant sold out of stone crab claws, this time none available due to well...unavailability! LOL. Food is good. Pricey. Family friendly. Overnight accommodations available.

This is our 3rd year in a row and still find Cabbage Key a spectacular location for boaters in the Ft Myers area. Already booked my 2018 trip. The staff is amazing and very accommodating. Regards from the Socialiser

We stopped in on a sunny March afternoon for a cheeseburger and a couple of Coronas. We were not disappointed. We chose to sit outside for lunch since it was so nice. That was a great choice! We watched boats go by and enjoyed the scenery as we enjoyed a couple of beers. The burgers were perfectly done and just...

Took a boat ride to this place, which we visited years ago. It was busy, but we were able to find a slip without a problem. The restaurant is still just as good as the last time! Visitors can tape dollar bills to the ceiling and we have a few there! Service was excellent! Food was also excellent!Loved the stone...

Stopped here as part of a Captiva Cruise Tour. Had lunch in the back room overlooking the jungle. Had the best burger on the island (only restaurant on the island). It came with either coleslaw or potato salad. Burger and salad were alright. Rest atmosphere here with approximately $70,000 of $1 bills taped to just about everything. Nice short walking...

Great little old salty bar and restaurant! Whether outside on the patio enjoying the sunshine, or inside enjoying the festive atmosphere, the place has charm. Our server Rebecca was very attentive and quick with refills, and answered all our random questions like a pro. You will love the nature path around the island a trek up the water tower.

We love Cabbage Key! My husband and I were looking for a quiet place off-the-beaten-path to spend a four day weekend and we found it at Cabbage Key Inn. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. A special thanks to Mark, Scott, Angela and Josh for making us feel so welcome and for helping us in and out with our...

Only accessible by boat, the cabbage key inn is an experience in itself. Fresh Florida seafood, casual ambience, very friendly service. Be sure to write your name on a dollar bill and add it to the thousands already on the walls and ceiling.

10 of us came for lunch and nature walk from Captiva. Scott, our server, gave us excellent recommendations and service; favorites included black beans and rice with blackened Mahi as well as cheeseburgers. Nature walk was fun. Arrive early and you'll enjoy!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Cabbage Key is a 100 acre island located five miles off of Pine Island, FL in the Pine Island Sound. The Inn, built in the 1940's by the family of Mary Roberts Rinehart, now houses our famous Restaurant & Dollar Bill Bar and six guest rooms. The rooms in the Inn are all different with old Florida charm - they do not have TVs, phones, or refrigerators. We have seven cottages on the island, ranging from a 1 bedroom/1 bath cottage to 3 bedroom/3 bath waterfront units. All cottages have refrigerators, televisions (no cable) and coffee makers, some units have full kitchens. Our restaurant is open seven days a week and serves breakfast, lunch & dinner. If you want to relax on a beach...we do not have one here. But, Cayo Costa is a close kayak or boat ride away. This is a great retreat to discover "Old Florida", relax with a book, fish from our docks & watch the boats go by. ... more   less
