Scrolling through reviews we noticed a number of complaints but our experience was the complete opposite. We arrived early for our 4pm check in and Kim got us quickly into our room. No waiting. Other front desk personnel, Tina and Dee were also quite friendly and helpful to our questions.

The lobby area is bright and spacious and is colocated with a well stocked sundries room. A bar is on site but located outside near the pool. A small menu of food is also available for purchase there.

Our 6th floor room was outstanding. It was large, bright, and clean. Microwave, small refrigerator and a separate sink was in the room. The bed was comfortable as was the furniture. We did not notice any unusual wear and tear. Overnight it was quiet.

The bathroom was large with a separate toilet and shower room apart from the large vanity. Shower amenities were installed in the shower. The vanity was only stocked with hand soap and makeup remover.

The elevators were quick and the interior hallways well lit and colorful.

Breakfast is served in two separate areas off of the lobby with a variety of basic hot and cold breakfast foods.

Third party operated shuttle is available for transport to the nearby cruise terminals.

This was a one night stay pre-cruise but this will be our first choice on any future visit to the Space Coast.

Great customer service, clean rooms and good continental breakfast. The hotel has a nice size pool, outdoor tiki bar, 24/7 mini market. It is a short distance from Port Canaveral. However, there's no shuttle service to the port. Uber ride from hotel to port is less than $15 and is readily available.

We fly into MCO on Friday evening, staying with Family before heading out to the Hampton Inn & Suites Cape Canaveral Saturday Afternoon. This hotel is adjoined with Home 2 Suites. They share Reception area, Pool/Bar area, and Lobby. While there seems to be a split in Breakfast areas, I did not see any difference in offerings or anyone directing guest to a specific side for breakfast.

Even though we requested early check in, we were not able to take advantage of this, due to the number of Cruise Ships in Port on Saturday and Sunday. The Hotel allowed us to store our luggage in a secure room, while we first had a couple of cocktails at the hotel bar before deciding on a late lunch at Grills Seafood Deck and Tiki Bar. The perfect spot to ship watch while enjoying a meal.

Our room was spacious and the throughout the room the level of cleanliness was top notch for a change. From the entry, to the bathroom and the room, things seemed to have been throughly scrubbed and wiped down, things were even clean under space between the wall and the headboard and behind/under the loveseat (which in some hotels is missed regularly)!

The overall decor was modern in tones of browns, reds and cream with hints oranges, teals and yellows in the accents!

The bed was comfortable and while the pillows are fluffy, we found they didn’t impede our sleep in any way.

There was plenty of storage, which would have been great on a longer stay, but was unnecessary on this overnight stay. Be

Overall hotel was clean, and the staff was friendly
and helpful, especially in removing charges for parking that we hadn’t used.

Pricing is a bit steep, but was expected with how busy Cruise Port is now.

We would recommend this hotel to anyone cruising out of Port Canaveral and would consider it again if we were to cruise from here in the future.

Side note: We would have gone with a full 5 stars but upon returning from our cruise we noted they did not charge the correct card. And while the card it went to was okay, we were building points on a certain card for this trip! Could we have called yes, but it wasn’t worth my second week of vacation to be on the phone!!

While the location is prime for those sailing out on a cruise, I feel that they should advertise and let guests/potential guests know that they are a pet friendly hotel on all floors. This has presented an issue for my 4 year old son who is allergic to dogs. I just had to give him Benadryl. The staff during the day were kind and accommodating and went above and beyond to get people into their rooms earlier than the 4 pm check-in time. I would have waited to 5 if I would have been able to check into a room that was cleaned. My best friend is a dog owner and her house never smells like it. I can only assume that the cleaning practices are subpar and severely lacking. The great service received from staff during the day was totally opposite from the condescending tone I received from Front Desk Agent Allie. She informed me that no managers were available. And that it is listed on their website that they are pet-friendly and have been for 3 years. I have stayed at many and have Never Ever experienced or smelled anything like this. If not for the smell, then at least for those that have dog allergies it should be posted in a non conspicuous location that you are checking into a pet friendly hotel and there might be a smell, dander or whatever as the rooms are not deep cleaned regularly. I am sure that there are fleas in this room and when I called to advise Allie after speaking with her earlier she said thank you and there wasn’t anything she could do. She did inform me that the rooms are cleaned daily and deep cleaned weekly. While that may be the case, it would serve this brand good to reevaluate their cleaning practices. Something is seriously deficient and lacking. I’m not allergic to dogs, but hate the smell and it smells like a zoo in here.

Dear Rodell H, I truly apologize for your experience with us. Our goal is to provide bright, fresh, and comfortable accommodations, and it saddens me to hear that we fell short in those areas. I understand how disappointing it can be when a stay doesn't meet expectations. We are a pet-friendly hotel and do charge a pet fee to help restore the room to its original condition. I'm genuinely sorry that you noticed an odor and that our team did not respond as promptly as you deserved. Your candid feedback is incredibly important to us, and we take it to heart as we strive to improve. We hope that you will reconsider your return. We'd love another opportunity to show you that we care about you and your family's stay. Sincerely, Tony Stagni General Manager

I went to Cape Canaveral for a surprise visit to my boyfriend for the New Year. He was there for work.
When I arrived, I spoke with the clerk Dee (nickname I suppose) and explain to her that I had driven from Myrtle beach to surprise my boyfriend.
I told her his name because I did not have a room number.
She requested my ID. No problem, as I was getting it from my purse, my boyfriend spotted me and patted me on my back.
I then stated to Dee that, I know longer needed her help. I didn't knew anyone there, so of course it would be him tapping me on my back.
I turned around to see the biggest smile on his face. As he embraced me, he was stating that he could not believed that I had driven down by myself to spend the begging of the New Year with him.

While we smiling, talking and walking away, Dee stated" just don't fight in the room". She made this statement in front of quest that was waiting to check in after me. Now, I can only think of a few reason that she would make a statement like that.

We are a black couple and maybe she not use to black couples getting along, and/or she watch to much social media and have a small brain.
However, she profiled us for the color of our skin.

Another incident: my boyfriend had some seafood for dinner one night. He did not want to leave the trash in the room over night. He was taking out the trash and he saw the HEAD housekeeper, (I think) I don't know his name, however he was a male . While in the elevator, my boyfriend asked "where could he put the trash", and that unprofessional employee decided he wasn't going to answer him, and he asked him twice.

My boyfriend also spoke to several employees in the morning as he head out to work and some of them never spoke.

His job is an engineer on the boat site there. The company name is Great Lakes. Long shoreman and dredging is a hard and sometime dangerous job. The employees that we have encountered at the Hampton Suites, must have been trained to look down on a man wearing a hard hat, and coveralls.
In addition make sure you state don't fight in the room if an individual is trying to surprise their boyfriend/girlfriend.
For the Record...WE DON'T FIGHT
I enjoyed my stay, and will plan a cruise from Cape Canaveral Florida.

Customer Service at this Hotel was non-existent. I called to ask about a shuttle I could use to travel there from Orlando Airport and was told to Uber. When I arrived I saw signs prominently displayed for a much more affordable shuttle service.

The refrigerator and clock in my room was not working and the maintenance man who came up told me to put ice in my bathroom sink because none of the refrigerators worked and he said that clocks shouldn't even be in hotel rooms anymore. He told me I should have stayed at the other Hilton hotel to get a refrigerator that works.

The desk staff could not possibly have cared less about the problems in my room. I purchased some fried mozzarella sticks from the poolside bar - they were inedible and more like melted string cheese than anything fried.

The best thing about this hotel is its proximity to Cape Canaveral. You always want to stay near the port the night before your cruise and the drive is less than 5 minutes from the Hampton Inn. Otherwise, the hotel was pretty average. Room was average, breakfast (included) was average. The bathroom in our room had an odd barn-door design that didn't close all the way. It wasn't broken. It seemed like it was a design flaw. It's a bathroom door! Your #1 goal is for it to close so you have privacy. That was weird. There's no shuttle to the port (also odd) except one that charges $10 per person one-way, which makes zero sense because an Uber for a family of 4 is less than $10 to the port.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn on Friday, January 13 for one night pre-cruise. I imagine it can often be difficult to operate a hotel like this, with so many one night stays.

I give the property generally high marks. There is a large spacious lobby shared by both the Hampton Inn and Home2. There is breakfast on each side of the lobby (depending on which brand you are staying with). There is a large pool and outdoor bar you can use, which we did not use because of the unusally cold temperatures.

There are some restaurants within walking distance and parking is plentiful. The front desk staff was pretty pleasant when I interacted with them.

The only major downside to this property is that the water pressure is very low in the rooms and showers. It is definitely not a normal shower or sink, and it seems they just do not have the infrastructure to support water pressure for everyone. This is especially disappointing considering that this is a "newer" property.

I would stay again in the future if there were no other choices; however, would probably pick another location first if available.

Worst experience EVER! We have been waiting for our room for 4 hours! We arrived early today, so I asked the front desk to let us know when the room is ready. However, they just let us waited for 4 hours, even after 3pm (the general checkin time), our room was still not ready. I asked them when is the checkout time for all guests, according to the front desk, people should leave at 11am. So I don’t know what kind of cleaning service they have that takes 4 HOURS!!! We also feel a strong sense of racism for not only waiting the longest, but also being ignored and treated in an impatient way that is totally different in comparison to their welcoming gesture towards others.

We enjoyed our stay! Room was clean & sealed when we arrived. No issues not having daily maid service. Easy to request extra towels & disinfecting wipes positioned by elevators to wipe down surfaces iin room daily. Loved the plethora of hooks in the room for towels or bags. Appreciated being able to travel with pets & felt very welcome having them in tow. Beds were comfortable & everyone slept well.

I rented a car from Alamo @ Orlando for a day (24 hours) and returned it at the port. It was $90.00 About the same price if I would have used a shuttle and Uber/Lyft a few times. Not sure what the current rental car rates are now But I was never able to find a lower rate. There are two toll booths along the way so if you go the rental car route Have some cash or change handy. I went in a couple of days early and it was nice to have a car for a day. I have heard that you can Lyft or Uber and the cost from Orlando would be around $60.00 -$80.00. But check prior. Once we dropped the car off at the port. We had early dinner at one of the restaurants and walked back to the hotel You can Uber it back to the hotel $8-10 .
