We stayed here for a nice relaxing weekend. The cottage itself is small with a queen bed, kitchen and shower, but with the addition of the screened in porch you have plenty of room. All looks freshly painted and well maintained. Do not expect high-end features, as this is a very basic, but useful cottage. The bed is on the... More

We stayed for 2 nights in early October and the cottage was very comfortable. Nearby there is a lake with a beautiful view and a place where one can buy fresh clams to prepare at home :) The furniture in the cottage is a bit old and the aircon was super loud, but I guess for the price one cannot... I wish we could have stayed here for longer; in fact, we did in a way, for we were double booked with another accommodation on our road trip accidentally, but couldn't tear ourselves away. The cottage has all the necessary amenities, is in a fabulous location on the back bayou, close to town and the main highway. I watched dolphin... More

Pirates cove has small individual cottages lust like the motels that sprang up all over the country in the early 1950's. They brought back many good memories from my youth! Although old, they were clean and well maintained! The wall mounted A/C units kept the place nice and cool. We were in cottage #6, which has a small, private, rear... More

These cottages were just right for our weekend getaway back in time in Cedar Key. Our cottage had all of the charm of a simpler time with all of the more modern conveniences like cable, a microwave, cold AC, and Free Wi-Fi. The queen size bed was comfortable and the wall AC not only produced cold air but that satisfying... More

This is a great old fashioned place with cute little cottages set on a cove amongst old pecan trees. Some of the cottages have little screened porches and some have lovely views of the cove. They have been renovating the cottages and ours (#5) was waiting for its facelift. The toilet was loose and the bed was really uncomfortable. On... More

These cottages were SO CUTE!! Walking in it was like a little apartment. 2 bedroom, wood floors, full kitchen, screened porch that looks out to the water. The cottages are also well insulated. I opened the door to go outside and there was a CRAZY storm going on, which I couldn't even hear from the inside. The owners are also... More
