Haven't stayed iin this great hotel since our wedding night in 2016 when we rented their fabulous penthouse suite, and we won't stay away that long again!
We checked in on July 4th, and were greeted by the very friendly and accommodating manager, Miss Sam Cantrell. She had the perfect room for us on the first floor - nice private patio with table, chairs and a lounger, ideal viewing of the fireworks!
Our room was delilghtful, sliding glass doors to the watefront. My wife & I critique the two most important thing to us, regardless of price: how comfortable is the bed (and pillows!), and how good is the A/C. High marks all around...and we're critical!
Great beach location, private if you like yet easy to get to all the great activities. Friendly staff all around. This is an older, really neat (only) four-story building that has been kept up nicely - we won't stay away so long again!

My family and I stayed here in February 2021 and we truly enjoyed it.

The hotel is in a quiet residential neighborhood and close enough to the beach, restaurants, and shops.

The suite was very generous in size with a large bedroom, a full kitchen, living room, and a balcony with a table, chairs, and beach-style recliners. I very much enjoyed having morning coffee in the sun and later dinner with a warm breeze.

The room came with everything one needs and unless you are one of those demanding types who needs pampering every ten minutes the staff will adequately satisfy your needs.

True, there is no night staff but the nearby sister property is staffed around the clock and will shoot over the three blocks if necessary if you call them. I didn't have any battery crises to suffer through but I'm actually smart and resourceful enough to pop a couple AA's into the remote if I really needed to watch the kardashians that badly.

The pool is clean, adequate, available, and not crowded and we enjoyed walking around the property to watch the boats and relax.

I didn't think anything there was 'dated' but I'm not used to dropping $250 and up at every Disney fad hotel either. The rooms and facilities were completely fine for me.

We walked over the beach a few times but if you are headed up to the center of town you may wish to drive.

Parking at the hotel is complimentary and always available.

I do suggest you hit the grocery stores before you arrive on the island because they are scarce and way expensive near the beach.

I highly recommend this hotel and I hope to return soon.

Here is an honest review for those of you who are like me and look for boutique hotels. This is a converted condo building right on the Bay on a quiet residential street not in the heart of all the action. It's about a 10 minute walk and you are in the middle of everything you need and you can retreat to the quiet of this place. It's an older building with the elevator outside. Older rooms but they have all the amenities you need. the only negative is some of the walls are paper thin. My daughter and I stayed for 4 nights and we had 4 different neighbors which were loud at times. If that doesn't bother you then stay here. Our room on the 4th floor had adjoining door which may have made wall noise worse. Not sure about suites. Bathroom door stayed shut unless you propped it open and light in bathroom is also the fan so when light is on so is the fan.
Beds are a little old but everything was clean. Water view for the price made it worthwhile for me. If you must be in the heart of the action and don't like all the walking I would not recommend staying at this place.

Our room was not adequately supplied upon arrival. No bath towels in bathroom for example. No hot tea bags. Had to request many items.
Advertised daily housekeeping not available. I’m on vacation and do not wish to make my own bed or change out any towels or Lin’s on vacation!!!
Was told minimizing people going into rooms so no daily room cleaning or linen changes. Can leave dirty towels outside door with trash and will empty your trash. Then had to ask for fresh towels late eve when we returned from our day.
Minimal front desk services. Needed batteries for tv remote and light bulbs.
Was told upon initial request for theses items that “they were making a note 📝 of it at this time to work on. Only upon repeat request did they replace light bulb and batteries needed.
Structure is old and needs updating with a fresh coat of paint, everywhere in rooms, bathrooms, needs fresh curtains, and a bouquet of fresh flowers in rooms MIGHT help mask the sulfa smell. One of our bed’s mattress sounded like a water bed but wasn’t. Bed was in ooor condition.
Having a spare blanket would also be indicated because nights in February are chilly!! 🥶
There was no vending machine, access to bottled or other water.

More access to front desk help for local info, a local map and suggestions for nice restaurants is a must for any service such as this!!

I give them at MAX a rating of 4 in a scale of 1-10 or a 2 on a 1-5 scale. Poor customer service. Very frugal approach to customers.
I will never use them again.

We always choose hotels based on Trip Advisor reviews. This time the reviews failed us. Don't know where the reviewers have stayed before but we cancelled our second night because the place was so bad. Chart House is in need of major updating. First, the elevator was so slow we thought we were stuck in it. We entered the room to a very musty smell and opened the door to the bathroom door which was held open by a trash can. The trash can was necessary because the door wouldn't stay open otherwise and the bathroom had no ventilation. The bathroom sink had chipped, peeling formica and the mirror was not clear. The beds creaked. You didn't want to walk on the carpet without shoes. The only great part of the room was the bay view. It was absolutely breathtaking. There were two resin chairs on the balcony and we had to ask for one chair to be replaced because it was broken. The location was pretty good and some of the other travelers seemed to be happy but not a place we could recommend.

My family of 5 needed a last minute place to stay for a funeral. Clearwater beach was nearly sold out. We have spent out entire lives visiting Clearwater Beach and have stayed at many hotels there. Prices of hotels we have stayed at were insane, double their usual costs. After spending literally hours on the phone and internet trying to find one condo style large enough for 5 or a hotel with two rooms without breaking my bank ( we were getting quotes of $1400 for four nights for ONE room, to $2200 for ONE basic room), Chart House suites pops up in our search. We called and couldn’t believe the prices. I was Leary cuz it was so reasonable. We checked reviews which we great so we booked.
The place was clean, Mr. Charles was absolutely the nicest person, the rooms were clean and comfortable. We had a beautiful water view. They put my dad in a room right next to ours so we could feel like we were together but had privacy. They were so kind as to allow us a late checkout for a night flight home at no extra cost.
We have never stayed at that end of Clearwater Beach but we would definitely stay there again.
Thanks!!!

I was a bit worried on reading some reviews that the place was old and needed updating. To some extent this may be true but it’s more than made up for in orther things.

The building is located in a quiet , residential area of Clearwater a good 20 mins wall to the town or a $6 Uber. Plenty of parking that’s usually in Clearwater and backs right on tow the dock.

Our rooms were massive and spotless clean, with everything you could possibly need

But best of all was the staff who could nt do enough for you

This place was awesome. We had a king suite with a balcony toward the street. It was lovely. The pool is plenty big with shade and sun and provided towels. The shuffleboard was a nice added feature. The marina is beautiful and it is a 10 minute walk to the beach and 15 min to Pier 60. You are away from the hustle and bustle of the center of town, but close enough to enjoy it. The kitchen has a full size refrigerator and freezer, two burner stove, sink, toaster, MW, pots, pans, utensils, and a 4 cup coffee maker with coffee packets. The hotel manager was so nice, helpful, and accommodating. We will stay here again.

Place is safe , stuff very polite. little overpriced , we stayed 4 days and our room was never clean, garbage was never removed, towels were never replaced, coffee maker was broken and old style and was no coffee at all. general... the location is great, close to everything, close to the beach, shops, very convenient location, only the lack of service was shocking, on last day during checkout we learned that for towels and coffee we had to come to the lobby. despite this I do recommend this hotel because of the location

Rates for our midweek stay were @$165/nite plus tax. A more fair rate would be @$100-120.

Pros:
On the water (check a map) and so views
No charge for parking
In Clearwater Beach, @20 minute walk to Pier 60
Clean safe area

Cons:
The place is worn. Everything needs a refresh.
Room itself was Ok, though the bathroom was very worn
Very poor wifi. Shut it off.
Staff leaves at 5pm. No security or other resource.
TV didn't work our 2nd more. No one to call.
A/C was sufficient, but just barely.
No room make-up (”Covid”)

Personally, I wouldn't stay here again. It's not BAD but it's not good either.

Anywhere on the water will have some mold issues, regardless. This hotel was kept very clean and we had no issues, my family struggles with this also and we were fine while we were there.

Hello Kristin A, Hotel is located just few blocks from the beach, we recommend that you leave your car at the hotel and just walk as finding a parking space at the beach can be difficult. you can also take Florida Free Ride (Free taxi) from the hotel to the beach as well.
