Good value, the hotel is located in a quiet area (unlike some where the road noise is problematic) looks like it was recently renovated too. I felt comfortable and safe. Hotel costs have gone up quite a bit since pre-covid, but I found the cost to be reasonable.

This is a nice Hampton Inn. It has recently been renovated so the carpeting and decor is pretty new. Our room was very clean and satisfactory, and beds were comfortable, however some of the bed pillows could use some updating as the ones I ended up with were a bit lumpy/uneven. The pool was very clean and refreshing and there are plenty of chairs and lounges to sit on to enjoy the sun or shade under umbrellas. The free hot breakfast is a good bonus, and kept fully stocked, there is something for everyone though we did get tired of the daily omelets but they do try to switch up the side protein by switching between sausage patties, sausage links and sliced sausage. I didn't realize this hotel was on such a busy road until we arrived, and we could hear traffic at all hours of the day and night (so many loud mufflers in Florida!) Our room which faced the busy road but if our AC unit was running, it helped block it. If I returned, I would ask for a room on the back side of the hotel for this reason. Part of the St. Petersburg airport runway is literally across the road a bit as well, so you can hear the planes taking off and sometimes they fly right over the building. Front desk staff were always pleasant. All in all, this was not a bad place to stay and was a good home base as we toured all over the Tampa area. Our nightly rate was very affordable. There are plenty of restaurants and big box stores located a few miles away in both directions.

Very clean. Easy check in because Electronic door key doesn’t work. Friendly staff. What appeared to be new linens. Breakfast was available on time and the rooms were very quiet. I’ve stayed at some Hamptons that seemed to have skipped the soundproofing but this one did not. Located close to the interstate. Would stay again.

I had an interaction with one of the employees at this hotel. I came down to do laundry at 6:45am. She explained the washer worked, but the dryer was down. She said I could run the wash but since housekeeping was arriving soon I wouldn’t be able to use the dryer. I didn’t know this was an option. I asked if there was a manager on duty that I could speak to. This is where things took a turn for the worse. She said she wouldn’t call a manager over this. All I wanted to do was plead my case. We waited, specifically for today, to do our laundry. We packed accordingly. To not be able to wash, and dry, our laundry today was going to be a major inconvenience. The front desk clerk was adamant that my problem, which was really their issue, did not warrant additional consideration. She continued to address me and tell me why it wouldn’t amount to something she would call the manager for. I told her “you made your problem, my problem.” She replied, “how about your emergency isn’t my problem. How about that?”

This person should not be in customer service. If you won’t address a customers issue/concern and you have the ability to do so, you shouldn’t be in customer service.

Horrible customer service. Showed up with a reservation and was told that my room was double booked. The woman behind the counter clearly lacked experience and told me that no rooms were available, but they would send me to Comfort Inn a few blocks away and comp the room. I verified that no room was available as I knew it was their screw up for double booking but was told no. She said she’d call Comfort Inn and let them know. I left for Comfort Inn and was asked for my walk over paper, which I was never given. I was visibly upset and said that surely something could be done and was told that I needed the paper. I went back to the Hampton Inn, told the woman she never gave me the paper, and she apologized, but couldn’t figure out how to do it so she called her manager and magically 2 rooms at the Hampton became available within a 10 minute period. I was given one of the rooms, under the impression that my room was being comped for their screw up, but was told by the manager today that I got the room I paid for and “since I showed first, they had the other person stay at another hotel instead”. I explained that’s not what I was told, that no room was available and that magically 2 rooms became available in a matter of 10 minutes. I was rudely told “rooms didn’t magically appear” and “we’re not comping a room that you paid for”. Don’t stay here unless you like dealing with liars and incompetent people. And even then, don’t.

Throughout our stay everything was slow. Checkin took more than 20min and there was only 1 group ahead of us. Guy wouldn’t give us 2 waters even with diamond status and we heard him telling another couple who checked into a dirty room he would try to get someone to clean it but couldn’t promise it. In the morning, I went to get a new key as ours wasn’t working she the girl working the desk was getting breakfast and not there fir a while. The toilet doesn’t flush well, sound travels through the hotel and the beds were not very comfortable. Breakfast was the only thing that was good, especially for a Hampton.

We spent the night here before a flight and it is very conveniently located near both local airports. The room was quiet and clean and the staff was nice. We were a little disappointed that breakfast does not begin until 7am on weekends and as we had to leave for our early flight at 6am, we were not able to get any breakfast here. It would be nice if they offered simple to-go bags for those with early flights. We have enjoyed those at other Hampton Inn locations in the past.

Stayed here while attending the Indycar races in St Pete great as a lot of the racers crews were staying here as well. One plus is the breakfast buffet is back to normal and was very good. The minuses they are located near a drag strip and you can here the noise in the rooms. Also we had difficulty getting the room cool. The lowest the thermostat would permit us to lower the temp to was 68 yet the room never got below 70 and the fan only run when the AC would cycle. Web like it very cool to sleep and the system would not get us to a comfortable level. Also they have put light sensors in the bathroom that cannot be over ridden. The lights went out while my wife was taking a shower scaring here and I was out of the room at the time. I also like ti use the bathroom as a night light which with the sensor system is impossible. I would like to have a serious talk with the bean counters that implemented these power saving measures. This is a deal breaker for us and will not stay there again. Akso the mini frigs did not have a freezer section which we like to freeze water for the hot days at the races.

The new fitness center is amazing!! The update to the fitness center is excellent. Has all the equipment you need for a great workout. COVID safe, they provide social distance while working out, sanitation wipes for equipment and hand sanitizer.

The hotel does not have Shuttle transportation. Lyft, Uber or Taxi is approximately $20.00.
This hotel is not pet friendly.
Hi Alan,
I wasn't focused of that aspect when I was there. The hotel itself, pool area, etc seemed accessible. There might have been a chair lift for use of the pool. (Not sure if I am confusing this with another Hampton Inn...worth checking out). The only limitation that comes to mind is going somewhere for something to eat off of the hotel grounds...lunch, dinner. Most of the restaurants seem to be on the other side of this heavily travelled 4-6 lane road. There was one place nearby on the same side. Can't think of the name. If you have access to a car that should work out fine. Have fun...
No. It is not on the beach. About a 30 minute drive away to the Gulf beaches, depending upon time of day and traffic.
