Due to weather problems our trip was delayed which meant our plane landed in PIE around 1:00 AM, shuttles were not running and our cab driver charged us $25.00 for a $7.50 trip on the meter! The the staff was friendly but the walk to our room was on stained and dirty carpet, water spots on the ceiling tile and walls that needed to be painted. Our room was neat but again the carpets and walls needed some TLC. Nice bed clean sheets and plenty of pillows bathroom was clean but toilets and vanities could use an update. Since we were late arrivals we were late to the breakfast bar by 15 minutes, did get coffee but the rest was being cleaned up. Suggest breakfast go from 6:00 - 10:00 am every morning not just on week ends.

Checked in. Room was smelly(like you could smell dog poop) Toilet is filthy, shower dirty with stains all around bottom of tub Stains on carpet. I asked for another room but toilet was dirty . The toilet is made for 4 to 6 years old. Very small. Asked for extra towels desk clerk just went to the back got towels no gloves on!! I was very very disappointed for my $289.00.

Really nice and clean room, large bed, breakfast was great - hot buffet and cereals, toast, bagels, etc. Only downside was the room we had was very close to the road, so I was woken a few times by motorbikes and on one occasion, at 2am, by sirens from an emergency vehicle. Overall though, I would certainly stay here again, but ask for a room further from the road.

Worst LaQuinta I've ever stayed in. First the tv could not run channels in order... I thought it was the remote so I went to Front Desk my first night and the replacement remote did the same. Second was the shower.. More water came out of the spout when you had the diverter engaged. The tub drain could not keep up with the water going in so you was standing in dirty water the whole time of the shower. The Front desk clerk who checked me in was always very nice I do not remember her name. She was there every morning and she showed me the work orders were put in place. I am a seasoned Maintenance man and a 20 year veteran in the hotel industry. The room I stayed in is in bad need of Preventive Maintenance (PM) many paint chips on the wall, The A/C filter needs cleaning, Moldy caulking around the shower wall Main hallway carpets need cleaning. And not maintenance but the breakfast buffet was just plain gross. I would not recommend this property are there are PLENTY of other hotels to stay in the area.

Not the standard of LaQuinta hotels we have stayed at in the past. This location should be closed. Room was filthy, could not use the broken and filthy shower, When we spoke to the person working the front desk we were told people “living” here were evacuees from hurricanes last fall, so no other rooms were available. That we should not have been given a reservation! Do not……do not stay at this hotel. If FEMA is paying for families to stay here, someone should inspect this hotel.

Very disappointed with this LaQuinta. Check in was easy & Ahmed was very friendly. Sign on the desk that the elevator was out of order. Glad I was given a first floor room, however, upon seeing my assigned room, I requested a new room. The first one had a queen size bed and I thought there were tan stains on the fitted sheet, but when I looked at the bed & pulled the sheet away, there was no mattress cover on the bed and the tan marks were the colors of the mattress. The sofa in that room had several stains & looked as though someone had unsuccessfully tried to clean it, but the spots couldn't come out. Also had several worn spots. I'd be embarrassed to have this sofa in my house. The microwave door was not clean. The bathtub had several spots - perhaps where it was painted over? I was moved to another room, upon entering I could smell cigarette smoke, but only next to the door. At least the bed had a mattress cover. No sofa, which was ok, and there was a recliner type chair. The a/c unit only worked on Low, and I had the room on 68 and kept the fan on "constant" instead of auto to keep the room reasonably cool. There was a cigarette burn stain on the dresser, although it was a non-smoking room. Overall, decently clean, window looked out to the main driveway, which was okay. Breakfast was fair, some type of sunny side up eggs & sausages, waffle maker (only 1 was working), danish, bread & toaster, cold cereals, yogurt & fruit cups in the frig, very small coffee cups. No fresh fruit, such as apples, pears or oranges. Parking in the back lot was well lit, but all the back entrance doors were marked "use main entrance". I parked in the parallel area across from the main entrance, which seemed safer. Furniture in the lobby was worn out as well. I was tempted to check out early & find a new hotel, but I was with a group and decided to stay. Safety in numbers! They were not happy either, but we were gone all day, and it was an okay place to sleep. We stayed 4 nights and none of us would return. This is a much older hotel in need of total renovation.

This location is run down & dirty. The carpets made my socks black within minutes. The mattresses, floors, lamp shades, floors & doors were dirty and stained. The tub was coming apart at the seams with some poor prior repairs were obvious. The room smelled so bad that it cling to my clothing. Plus the other clientele at the hotel made it feel more like a homeless shelter. The only positive was the front desk people were kind. We were charged $40 per day per dog, this obviously wasn’t spent on cleaning.

.Worst experience at a hotel ever 1 they checked me into some other persons room and apparently I was the 3 person that night to burst into her room 2 dirty smelly room gator wipes and 2 bottles of febreaze to make it livable 3 After spending 5k here they checked me out of the room 2 days early without warning no phone call or anything I show up after working all day disaster relief and my key to the room still works I walk in and everything was missing the hotel threw all my stuff in garbage bags mishandled my medications Dumped a bag of Celtic salt all over my stuff Stained a shirt by tossing a bottle of herbal extract in the bag on top of my clothes didn’t take the time to close my knife blade and threw the knife in to poke holes in my stuff threw food in with dirty clothes I won’t eat now open chocolate in with my clothes All my possessions thrown in random trash bags the kid behind the desk just kind of shrugged his shoulders wouldn’t call a manager Didn’t even offer to help find me another room somewhere as he explained they already sold my room out from under me I have never been mistreated in a manor such as this in any hotel I’ve ever stayed I will probably never stay at another la Quinta after this expedience entire hotel Spent hrs trying to call and reach the general mgr can’t even get the front desk to answer the phone corporate couldn’t even get anyone on the phone there Do your self a favor and find a better hotel this one is garbage

We stayed at this hotel 9 years ago and cannot remember that we had any problems so I booked 2 nights while we went to a ballgame and some museums. First we noticed people parking in the fire lane and street for some reason. the rear parking lot is not well lit and the security doors do not work so the side and rear doors to the hotel do not lock at night. We managed to park on the side that was lit. Hotel is very dirty. Elevator floor was filthy and a crumbled paper back was in the corner for over 24 hours. Bag of garbage outside doors were not picked up for hours. The next room put their full garbage can outside their room between our two doors sometime in the after noon before 4 and it was still there the next morning when we went to check out about 9. Same was noticed all over the hotel. We also had quite a few ants by our microwave and in the bathroom. Pool was not too bad but handicap hoist was out of order and by the looks of the out of order letters faded it had been that way for along time. Also pool area is a hangout for smokers. Also, we were wondering if there were long term residents living at the hotel. Seemed like there were quite a few people that seemed to know each other more than just casually. I made a comment when checking out about the ants and the desk clerk knocked $ 30 off the stay and said she would get somebody up there after the ants.

So I lost power during hurricane Milton and booked a room for me and my cat, there were 3 rooms available when I booked, So I get there and the grounds (the vibe) were real sketchy (like you didn't feel safe, at all) so i'm walking up to the entrance and some shady characters were sitting in lawn chairs just stairing at me; Walk into the lobby and a lady (very nice) ask if she can help me and I say that i'm checking in, and she looks at some dude who looks on his phone for my check in (he wasn't very friendly at all) and they give me my room (amongst other security settings) and says park your car by the tree (we're having a hurricane and one of the last places i'm parking my car is under, next to a humongous old tree), this gentleman had no personality at all. so I settle into my room (wasn't very clean at all, stains everywhere, a place where you sleep on top of the covers), so i'm in my room and sit down to relax and turn on the t.v. and after about an hour the power goes out :-( and so i'm sitting in a chair (with my cat) in the dark and pretty much just stair out the window, and after about an hour of doing, I walk to the front desk (their is water on the floor everywhere and they're trying to mop up) and I ask the lady if there was a bar/restaurant in here and she says no and I say how about food and she says just in those machines (which weren't working because of no power) and I ask could I get a room tomorrow if need be and she says i'm sure that wouldn't be a problem (considering the situation) and I said thanks and go back to my room; So I go to the bathroom in the dark and hear some scratching and clawing in the walls (nonstop) and i'm thinking definitely Rats in these walls, long story short I had a better hotel experience when I was stationed in Frankurt Germany in the Redlight district and when morning came I ask mr personality if I could get a refund because all I did was pretty much sit in the dark (not rascist or anything but this place is run by a bunch of young spanish decent) and i'm a person of color and I didn't feel welcomed at all. All said and done don't go to this place at all (you've been warned)
