Best service ever. Erika Dumas and Krystal D were so amazingly hospitable. They truly made the start of my day with their positive happy demeanor. Felt like I was in a five star restaurant simply because of their customer service. This is something I look for when traveling. Room was clean and fresh. Front desk clerk pleasant and friendly. Gentleman behind the bar in the restaurant was professional and enjoyable to speak with during dinner. Chef Robert, prepared a perfectly delicious sirloin with specially seasoned loaded mashed potatoes.

Brytani and Bob were both very accommodating in our stay. They were pleasant each time we spoke and always greeted us and bid us a good day. As for the room itself, the ceiling was moldy in the closet. The iron didn't work so we had to ask for a new one. We discovered, since my daughter was staying for a period of time, housekeeping would come in to clean the room only every 5 days. We had to ask for extra towels each day and even asked for clean sheets, which we offered to change out ourselves due to the hotel's short staff during our stay. The curtains, when opened, had holes in them from what appeared to be from a cat climbing them. No big deal except the fact my daughter, who brought her animals with her, was told she wasn't supposed to be on the third floor – that anyone with animals was supposed to be booked on the first floor. This was not her fault as someone else made the arrangements for her, and he confirmed he told staff when he booked the room that she was bringing animals. Obviously, animals had stayed on the third floor before our stay. Otherwise, the hotel was clean and had a friendly staff. They were there for us when needed.

This is my second time staying at the hotel. The staff is very friendly. I appreciate it's a pet friendly hotel. My stay was less than 48 hours but in that time period I needed to get my room cards replaced 4x because, per the front desk, they demagnetize when near cellphones or keys. I have few pockets and my purse isn't a tote bag. i found my key continuously not working very frustrating. The toilet is also way too low. I am not a giant and felt like i was in a preschool lavatory. The hotel needs a lot of updating. Only one elevator worked. The pool was very nice. The grounds look shabby. The rear parking lot has a water business based there in what used to be a tennis court.

This hotel is clean as you would expect from a Holiday Inn and located very close to the St. Petersburg/Clearwater (PIE) airport. Staff was for the most part friendly. What you would expect for a Holiday Inn. However, this is an older Holiday Inn. Beds were very uncomfortable, AC unit did not function correctly, and there was a musty smell in the hallways. A free Continental breakfast is not provided even though the rooms cost more than I have ever paid at any other Holiday Inn. Breakfast was an additional minimum charge of $10 plus tax per person. And, if you are expecting a shuttle to the airport - go elsewhere. Upon booking with a live staff member and at check-in I was promised shuttle service to the airport; I just had to let them know the night before when I needed it. Both times the staff was informed as to when I needed it. The night before leaving I spoke with the gal at the front desk and was told she could not authorize a late check out nor shuttle service; and told me I had to speak with the desk staff in the morning. Early the next morning, upon speaking with staff I was told that they could not provide the promised shuttle service as it was not being offered until 3 p.m. Mind you check out is at 11 a.m. The reason I chose this hotel was because of past experience with Holiday Inns and the offered shuttle service. The next time I am in the Tampa area, I will definitely stay elsewhere.

First, yes! The staff are wonderful - polite, friendly and efficient (funny too). The tavern was nice, but seemed to cater to the 3 “regulars”. A little slow, and the server/ bartended waited on others first that came in 10 minutes after us. There were initially 5 of us then 7 total patrons, so not “busy” at all. Server was very pleasant and food from the limited menu was very tasty, though the order was a little off and slow to arrive. It was however corrected quickly.
Just was mostly disappointed in the room. Granted, it is near the airport, but didn’t realize it was directly below a flight path - so roaring takeoffs. That’s my fault too for not checking these things better. Just like the pay not free “bright” breakfast (pay in restaurant).
Other guests kept us up until 11:45pm. Not well insulated. One person sneezed; my wife, in a normal speaking voice said God bless you. Person responded “Thank You”! The room was missing the pictured “easy chair”. The AC cycled constantly and was very noisy. It wheezed at the end of a burst of cool air. The floor lamp flickered, the bedside lamps flickered and my CPAP cycled on and off (we had to pull the mattress out to plug the dangling cord in). The one switch for the light in the bathroom did both light and fan which was also terribly noisy. The outlet in the bathroom came out when my wife removed her flat iron. The tub/shower diverter was seised up. The toilet is the older style 14” from the floor. Elevators were intermittently uncooperative. Pushed the 1st floor button and it didn’t light and the doors didn’t close. Took several attempts at different times (we were there 2 nights) Just a lot of little things.

We stayed here only because it is close to the airport, Upon checking in the lady said she was putting us on the 5th floor, not sure why, we paid for a king standard but whatever. During check in we stated we were smokers and would like to be on a lower floor to have easier access to go outside. She put us on the 1st floor, which was fine until all the furbabies started barking. We utilized the bar and ordered some food, bar was short staffed so the 2 people working were quite busy around the time we were in there. We didn't mind, everyone is short staffed anymore. We retired back to our room, #107, the hall had a horrible moldy smell. Got into our room and the toliet would not flush, called the front desk, they promptly sent a maintenence guy in and he fixed it. We had an early flight, we had to be up at 3:00 am. I got up and jumped in the shower to NO hot water. I washed the best I could in cold water, finished up and went outside to calm down a bit before talking to front desk, I proceeded back inside and of course my key card wouldn't open the door, b/f had to let me in, who was still n bed. Called the front desk and spoke with John. I told him about the cold shower and the toliet and the key card. John said, "I don't know what you want me to do for you", I told him I didn't know either, I let him know we were leaving the hotel soon to catch a flight, he then said" I can put you on the top floor with more ammneities" I asked him how being on the top floor had more ammenities, we were actually offered the top floor room at check in for no additional cost, the room was pre-paid. He said to me "if you would of let me know the problems before I could help you better" Made no sense, I just discovered no hot water and key card not working. he said "What is it you would like me to do, this is the 1st no hot water complaint we have had" John seemed to very good at dodging the issue, I asked him to discount the room a little since we couldn't shower, he told me no. We grabbed our stuff and left. I would NOT reccommend this hotel to anyone, it was a very bad experience to the beggining of our vacation.

My husband and I had a 3 night stay in this hotel in order to attend a friend's wedding in Clearwater. We would have given this a higher rating if the air conditioner wasn't so loud. Neither one of us were able to sleep on our first night. The next day, we let the front desk know about the problem and asked if we could get a different room. They let us check out another one, but the air conditioner in that room was worse than what we had! So we went back to our room later in the day and there was a note from the maintenance department saying that they had fixed our unit. It was a little quieter, but still noisy so we decided to stay put for another 2 days. We stopped at a CVS to buy earplugs in order to help the situation and it definitely helped. Just wanted to give you all a heads up.

Booked this stay as an IHG Platinum Elite member using points and was left thoroughly disappointed.
Thankfully, we were only visiting for one night otherwise I'd have certainly been cutting the stay short.
Quite small, dated rooms with concrete beds. Small pool area with a minimal amount of loungers.
The room had a fantastic view if you like trash cans / bins / skips, if so, I'd highly recommend this room. See picture.
Also, don't let the name fool you. Its nowhere near either St Petes ( 25 to 45 mins depending on time of day ) or Clearwater ( 25-50 mins depending on time of day ).
Positives - The staff were pleasant and helpful upon check in as you'd expect from an IHG hotel. Didn't use the bar but that looked fantastic, atmosphere and plenty of entertainment ( darts etc... )
All being said, I'd wouldn't recommend this hotel.

The 2 guest elevators were out of service and everyone had to use the service elevator. It was obvious this was an ongoing issue. "Waiting for parts" we were told. Our room was OK, but the A/C was noisy. Very slow check-in. We used their PAID parking for a short trip and were told "just call and the shuttle will pick you up". I called at 2:40pm on a Thursday, not a holiday. I was informed "the shuttle doesn't begin running until 3pm". At 3:15pm, I called and was told they would send someone "soon". Not a good experience. The driver was pleasant and efficient; apparently not aware of the front desk screw-up.

The crappy van they have will only go to the airport. you have to call them to come to get you and they only operate it during certain times. They will not go to the Tampa Pier.
We do not service the dock directly, however I believe there is a shuttle from TPA to the Caribbean cruise line (operated independently or by the cruise line). If you are staying at the hotel, it would be our pleasure to drop you off at the airport and if I’m correct, you would be able to hop on the cruise lines' shuttle to get to the dock. I hope this helps. Happy travels!
