We stayed at this property several times in the past month. It is clean and relatively quiet - considering it is right net to a very busy street (49th St N). If you have a choice - I would choose a room closer to the elevator - since there is only one elevator on one side of the building. The rooms were large with a cook top and a full size fridge. The only breakfast option was coffee - VERY strong coffee. There is a Circle K right across the street - use the crosswalk - it is much safer.

Didnt make it inside. Parking lot is shared with retail center and bus stops. Showed up about 6pm to numerous people loitering. Not sure about location and since I was solo I left. It was probably fine. A couple blocks down are a few other hotels.

So now that we have lived in the area for a few months I thought I would write my review. We stayed at this hotel with points the night we arrived into town. We thought it strange that we could not just walk into the lobby but had to pick up a phone and be buzzed in. We asked the desk clerk if this was a bad area and she got offended and said "NO! Why would you ask?"...well, it felt like we were visiting a prison or something. Now, the rooms were great! All was fine....but we got up and ran out by 6am the next morning because we just didn't feel right. NOW that I KNOW THE AREA I see the Juvenile Detention Center and County Jail and Jail Release Center is RIGHT DOWN THE STREET!! As I sat at a red light just down from this hotel I saw all these people walking with their personal items in jail plastic bags! Like they just got out of jail and were walking to wherever they may rob next! OMG! The area is NOT a bad area and Ulmerton has some good hotels...I would pay a little extra and go down towards the bay if I were to stay again.

Haven't stayed at at Simply hotel before and absolutely love this hotel chain! Rooms are very big and offer full fridges, traveling for business for 2 weeks at a time, this was a nice change. Even better, they offered free laundry washer/dryers- so I didn't go home with a ton of dirty laundry. Staff was so friendly and accommodating, even gave me directions and suggestions to some local restaurants.

I read the reviews about the place being filthy. Not the case with our room when we checked in. We were greeted by "Heidi" at the front desk who was most pleasant. When we went into the room, we found it to be exceptionally clean. Everything worked including a great huge screen television as well as the ice maker in the refrigerator. Although we didn't bring our two dogs this trip, they have great rates for an extended stay for pets. Many hotels/motels claim to be "pet friendly" only to "soak you" on pricing for your pets. The front desk was always friendly and greeted us with a warm smile. The bed was comfortable, and we were able to fix dinner several nights in the room. An added perk to staying here is that they provide "FREE" washers and dryers for your clothes. We have traveled the world over, staying in some mighty fine hotels, and I would rate this one week stay as right at the top. We will be back!

Starting off the room smells like mold, the water was broken and was off for a good chunk of day one. front lobby was unaccessable, the reps were reaking of Marijuana, If i had known how this hotel would have been, i would have never came here. Internet speeds are supposed to be at least 50mbs i am getting 5mbs on a good day. im really never would come here again. Tear this place down. i wouldnt put convicts here.

Praise the Lord Jesus for this nice accommodation. It was a blessed experience. Karl, the manager at the front desk who checked me in was professional, thoughtful, friendly, and demonstrated solid customer service skills plus provided an upgrade for the membership level. Karl had a lot of hospitality leadership experience and was patient with me as I made multiple trips to desk (forgot toothpaste & toothbrush) and he simultaneously handled multiple guests and phone calls seemlessly without other hotel staff. I can tell God blessed him with superior people skills and God has been rewarding his hard work ethic as Karl was handling front desk, housekeeping, accounting, and other areas seamlessly.
Karl mentioned how he enjoys working with his boss, another hotel manager, and Karl said he enjoys working with his boss as a team. Karl also mentioned how this property is IHG owned so it has nice benefits for employees (better treatment than some franchises that don't always take care of employees.) Karl's comments confirm the Truth of the Bible when it comes to how we reap what we sow (get out what you put in) and all the blessings like the boss & benefits he is experiencing right now -

The room was large, quiet, clean, and comfortable... even smelled new/clean like a Yankee Candle had been in the room and unlike overpowering cleaning agents. Hotel is pretty new, clean, no issues. Stayed in room 336. On a personal note, I almost drowned 5 times, almost was in 12+ car wrecks, had gun in my face, plus many other close calls with death BUT JESUS has been so merciful, patient, and loving toward me! I don't deserve it, still struggle at times and make mistakes but He has been changing me, helping me become a more loving, patient, peaceful person having experienced His Holy Spirit... the love, peace, and joy of Jesus is amazing! May you be blessed to know Him more and more, Jesus is amazing!

We literally had roaches in our room. When we asked for our money back they said “sorry, you booked through Expedia so we can’t help you.” I’ve booked hundreds of hotels rooms over the years for my occupation. This is by far the worse experience I’ve ever had. Look at the attached pictures and you will see this is the same tile on the bathroom floor and the same color countertops in the rooms. These pictures are not doctored up. Management has yet to contact me. Only advise I can give is “Book at your own risk!!!!”

Had my reservation Check In: 06 Jul 2020 for 8 nights. Room was filty and not clean , Dogs hair on the sofa, debris on the floor, some metal wire peace on the carpet and I step on and injured myself, Then some man ulockeed a door and wolked in my room. Took me stuf and left, ask for refund. I am spire ambassador at IHG rewords program , They remove y reservation record that I cannot write a review on IHG side, no welcom points, IHG talking about deap cleaning hospital grade, nothing close, stay away from that dirty place

The hotel itself has a kitchenette, a separate bedroom, and a pullout sofa bed, which is good. I opted for this place because of the separate bedroom. However, there are dead roaches everywhere. It's also in great need of a makeover!

No and you can find a great deal better than this hotel with room service and breakfast. I'll never make this mistake again. It's the lack of any room service (no emptying your trash, clean toilets, etc) that is the big problem with this hotel.

The Candlewood Suites Clearwater is about 15 minutes from Indian Rocks Beach, nice beach very low key. We are also about 20-25 minutes from Clearwater Beach;more restaurants and shops.
All of our rooms are suites and were renovated at the end of 2012. All suites are in great shape as we continue to upgrade when necessary. Feel free to call me at the hotel if you need anything.
