Being very honest, I chose this hotel for the price. As Clearwater Beach has gotten very expensive and we only needed a room for one night, I found $236.00 (total) to be the cheapest price. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and we had a view of the harbor. There were enough parking spaces at the hotel and it was across the street from the beach. The gentleman at check in was friendly and we bantered about baseball once he saw we were from Phila.

stayed here for a few nights. easy to find, close to beach(walking distance). parking avaible. the part of the hotel we were in seems to be a little older, rooms were clean. ours had a lot of room. beds were comfortable, pillows good. we liked that there was a set of chairs outside each room. we were able to get out more and enjoy the weather. they had a pool at each part of the hotel. staff were friendly. check in and out was fast and easy. we would stay again if we get back.

This is a mediocre hotel. It has 2 buildings -- the main building is 5 stories and has an elevator. The second building (which is the one I stayed in) is across the street and is 2 levels with no elevator. I can not carry a suitcase up and down stairs and no one offered to help. Good thing my sister and BIL were there and they took the bags up and down the stairs. The room is bare bones, clean, but old and run down. The building I was in is really a motel, with all doors and windows facing the walkway. So you have to keep the drapes closed for privacy. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The walls are very thin and you can hear the people next to you. It's walking distance to several places to eat and to the beach. There are 50+ TV channels and free wifi. However, the wifi was iffy. The air conditioner is loud and didn't reflect the actually temp in the room. A one degree change might change the room temp by 5 degrees. There was a nice pool near my building which looked clean. There was a microwave and frig in my room.

Great hotel and location - the rooms were clean and perfect for a mini break. The location was brilliant and a few minutes walk and you were on the beach. Which is great when you have little ones with you Staff were amazing and so helpful could not fault them

Our extended stay at the Clearwater Beach Hotel was very pleasant. We were pleased with the relative value for the lodging, as well as it’s walking distance to popular attractions, restaurants, shops and bars. We were also very happy with the quality and timeliness of the hotel’s housekeeping services.

My husband and I stayed in a family suite in the two story building. We loved it. The hotel is located in the ideal area of Clearwater Beach with plenty of dining, bars, shopping, etc. within easy walking distance. Our room was large, clean and the staff was friendly. One parking spot is included at no cost. Housekeeping came every day without having to ask. Both pools were clean, well maintained with perfect water temps. If you are looking for a suitable place on a budget, this fits the bill quite nicely. We were in the area for a wedding and two other couples in our group stayed here as well but were in the main building. If you're able to, request the 2 story building as we were far happier with our stay then our friends were. The rooms in the 2 story building cost a few dollars more but are VERY worth it! We would absolutely stay here again if we come back to Clearwater Beach.

I've visited Clearwater Beach multiple times and this was, by far, the best service I've received from hotel staff. Morgan was exceptional! To begin with, my flight was delayed and I received a call from her to ensure I was still planning on checking in and she even offered to arrange a taxi for me. Today, prior to check out, she shared great insight and suggestions for local options based upon my personal interests. My only regret is that I didn't seek her advice sooner. However, I'm well prepared for my next trip. By the way, the location of the hotel is great for walking and they do a great job cleaning the rooms daily. My room was on the top floor far from the main road - this was quiet and I would recommend a similar room.

First surprise on arrival is that guest parking is no longer free, since last month. So although our room was "fully pre-paid," there was more to pay for parking. Second surprise was that one of the two (dirty) elevators was not working, and the broken one was stuck on our floor, but not switched off; meaning we could not call the working elevator to our floor, because the system always thought the broken one was there. Third surprise was the lack of adequate supplies in our room. We requested a blanket and pillow and were told it would be sent up, but it never was. Fourth surprise was a phone call that woke us up late at night, from the night manager coming on duty. She asked if we had received our requested blanket and pillow, which we had not, so she promised to get them sent to us the next day, which they were not. Fifth surprise was the cockroach in the bathroom. Sixth surprise was that the view from our "bay view room" was great, except that you could only enjoy it by having the curtain open to the public walkway outside the room, so that you were on full display in your bedroom. Seventh surprise was that the walkway outside our room was not only accessible to hotel guests but anyone at all, as the 24-hour reception has no view of who is coming and going up the stairs and the elevator. In summary, this was a very disappointing stay, in an old building not being maintained well. It is surrounded by very new high rise hotels and condos, and I can only imagine that the owners are planning to sell it to be knocked down and the site redeveloped in character with the rest of the area, otherwise they would doubtless be caring for it much more. It is very much cheaper to stay here than most of the nearby hotels, but you get what you pay for,

Our super group of girls came to stay for a night to check out Clearwater. We opened our room door and the overwhelming smell of cleaner hit us. We had to open our door and leave it open for hours to get the smell out. Others would have requested a different room, but we roughed it out. They clean with Fabuloso cleaner, which is very strong. I saw housekeeping pouring a big ole batch into a bucket in the morning. Ugh. We went out to dinner at Salties next door which was good, btw. When we returned, the air conditioner had leaked all over the tile floor. We cleaned it up and carried on. The pool was nice and clean. There’s a great ice cream shoppe on the property. I had cookie dough! Yum. This hotel is across the street and down the block from beach access. The pillows were floppy, shredded junk, but the beds were ok. The shower was good, but there was no view from frosted window. Not sure if I would return.

The AC unit was awful, we had it on the lowest temperature and it was still hot. When we checked in we got surprised by a $10 per night parking fee just to park in the parking lot of the hotel. Crazy to me you have to pay to park where you are staying. Shower curtain did not fit shower, and water was in the floor every-time. On the positive side it was a close walk to the beach, restaurants and shopping.
