I stayed here recently for a short leisure trip traveling solo but to meet with a friend who’s local. My first impression, thanks to the incredibly professional, knowledgeable and engaging Dawson at the front desk, was excellent! Dawson needs a promotion! He took the time to give an incredible verbal tour of the area, and even gave me literature on places to visit, things to do, and places to eat, along with a voucher card for a local seafood restaurant (complimentary drink). I actually ended up going to that restaurant and it was, just as Dawson said, wonderful! There was also an older gentleman (tall, glasses I believe) who was so kind and professional- I believe he may be one of the owners/business partners. He was also great and these two gentleman are one of the reasons I’d return here on my next trip to Cocoa Beach! My room (King bed with sofa and balcony) was spacious and clean and the air conditioner was functioning optimally and easy to adjust for comfort. The bathroom was a bit dated but I didn’t really mind. Also, just as an fyi to management- the charging station on the nightstand didn’t work which was a tad inconvenient but by no means a nuisance. There’s no lotion provided but I always pack my own (just a heads up if you don’t). That would be a nice perk, as that is pretty standard in most comparable hotels. I loved that the dune walk to the private beach was short and easy to navigate. You can rent chairs, beach umbrellas, loungers, and even take a surf lesson! Sadly, I had a leas than stellar experience at the Bistro (which serves coffee, bar drinks, breakfast, and dinner). The first night, I had a pretty good experience. The attendee was a younger (20s-30s) woman with long brown hair in a ponytail. She was attentive and the food was really good. My next couple of times at the Bistro I was attended to by another woman (shorter blonde/lighter) hair. She truly seemed like she did not want to be there and made me feel pretty uncomfortable and unwelcome. She wasn’t outright nasty but she was pretty cold and I had to initiate a greeting (no hello even). She misheard something I ordered and was a little, for lack of a better term, sophomoric in the way she responded. Instead of “Sorry ma’am, could you repeat that?” I got “the what?” It was off putting and just her energy made me not want to visit the Bistro for the rest of my stay, which is a shame, since it’s so convenient and the food is well portioned and of good quality. We all have bad days, things going on in our lives that are difficult, so that’s why I gave my visit a second chance when she was working but both times I got the same vibe from her. Just such a contrast to my other interactions with the staff and management during my stay. Overall, I’d probably stay here again. Thanks to Dawson and all the folks who made my stay pleasant!

We've stayed here a few times before and always had at least one big problem with the room. This time was different. Just some little ones. We had 2 free night Marriott certificates that were going to expire soon so we decided to use them here. We are Marriott Gold members. We booked a king bed room with balcony. We were given a room on the 2nd floor overlooking the front entrance and the parking lot. I guess being a gold member doesn't mean anything. OK, we didn't use the balcony. The room itself was fine. Very big and very clean. Sofa was not comfortable at all. Had a fridge and microwave. Bathroom was typical with average vanity space. Bed was comfy. Two problems. I like a dark room at night. I had to stuff a towel under the door to the hallway because the light from under it light up the room. Also, the light from the microwave was very very bright so I threw a towel over it too. That did help. This room did have the "dreaded" half drape over the air conditioner. The air conditioning, by the way, was about 3 feet from the bed and at bed height. It was hot outside but it did do its job.

We are beach people so we know to park closer to the Hampton Inn because that's where the beach access is. We left all of our beach stuff in our car and got it each day on the way to the beach. We did not have any meals here but the hotel is in a very good location for many restaurants.

I do want to say that all of the employees here are wonderful. They all go out of their way to help you find what you're looking for. Even though they charge $10/day for parking, this is really the only place I would stay in Cocoa Beach.

I used points from a credit card to purchase a gift card for a stay at this location. Marriott Corporate is who helped me booked my reservation because I had never used points/gift card before and it wouldn’t process online. However, when they walked me through the process they didn’t tell me it was a pay in advance rate and I couldn’t use my gift card so my credit card was billed. I was frustrated with the process and not happy my card was charged when I had a gift card I had planned to use. I called the location and spoke with Teresa (manager) who was so polite and informed me of corporates mistake. She said she would reverse the charge on my credit card and allow me to use my gift card for me stay. She was a pleasure to work with and would highly recommend this hotel when it’s runs by people like Teresa!

When my wife and I got to our room on the 4th floor we felt like we had been mislead with a bait & switch. We had booked an ocean view room on the Marriott website at an additional cost. The option for booking an ocean view was more expensive. The only view from our 4th floor room was the heavy foliage of several trees. When I complained to the front desk, I was told “we do not guarantee the view.” Why then were ocean view rooms listed on the Marriott website for a premium price? After I told Dee I wanted a rate adjustment, she agreed to move us the following day to a 5th floor room. That room did have a very distant view of the ocean somewhat obstructed by other hotels/condominiums. The ocean and beach are at least 100 yards from the hotel. You have to walk around a parking lot and a couple of buildings to get to the beach. The beach is beautiful once you get there. I do agree with other reviewers who noted that charging for parking and beach chairs is a bit too much. The quality of the hotel food is fine; albeit the menu is limited. The hotel calls the dining area as a “bistro”. It’s really just some tables and booths set up in the hotel lobby. There’s no table service. You place your order with the barista/bartender. The Starbucks coffee was good. The hotel staff were proficient. The woman bartender at the poolside bar was particularly nice. We did hear some construction noise as they are renovating the 6th and 7th floors. The noise was minor and didn’t disturb our stay.

Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your review of your recent stay and the kind words regarding our staff. I am sorry you felt mislead regarding the view from either of the suites you were offered. Our website states that we are beachside not beachfront and I apologize for any misunderstanding. Also, it is common practice for all beachside hotels in our area to charge a parking fee and a third party vender provides the service of offering beach rentals as a convenience to our guests. I would like to ask if you would be willing to share the booking information you received stating you booked an ocean view as our property does not sell our rooms by views but by bed type so I can get that corrected in our system. Please feel free to contact the hotel and we will direct you as to where to send that information. Once again, thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. Safe travels.

The view from the room was the worst view I’ve ever had. It was completely different from the hotel’s photos online. We faced a back parking lot and maintenance facilities. They should ask you if you want this horrible view in exchange for $100 off the room rate.

The room also smelled, was musty and felt damp, and the floor actually felt damp. Our devices did not automatically connect to the guest WiFi the second day, so I was charged by my carrier, even though I selected to automatically connect to the WiFi. Also, the outlets in the room did not work to charge our devices.

Location close to the beach is great. The food is not bad. I would have given 2 stars, but the common areas are fine, so I’m giving 3 stars.

Location is super convenient to some great local spots for food and beverage, I recommend supporting local business, the hotel and Bistro are not able to handle the volume of guests ( happy hour, evening, and breakfast ) - expect slow service and long waits. The hotel isnt beachfront, don’t fall for the ads. The rooms are nice, comfortable, clean, great water pressure in showers BUT air conditioner loud and doors slamming at all hours, don’t expect a quiet restful sleep. The $10 parking is a rip off, was told at check I “it’s a bargain compared to some of our other properties” - wow, cocky employees, must be the culture of Yvette property? As a gold elite I was disappointed. I am. It opposed to staying here again, it would defiantly loom at other Marriott (or other chains) before booking here.

Twenty four family members rented rooms while in town for a family funeral. Price was insane, I paid $275 for one night for my husband and I. Our party requested a meeting room for the family to visit and we were shown all of the lobby spaces and told we could choose whichever we wished. We were told we could serve the food we brought in, cheese, crackers and fruit as long as we cleaned up afterwards. We requested garbage bags and these were provided. About 20 minutes later we were told we were disrupting other guests and would have to go outside to the smoking area. There were no other guests around at that time. About 30 minutes after that, we were told we would have to move back inside because this was the smoking area (sake shift manager). When we objected we were told we could stay outside but we’d need to leave the smokers alone, there weren’t any. About another 30 minutes later the maintenance staff told us we’d have to go inside do they could close the smoking area because the “bar” closes at 11:00. It was 10:00. We stayed and they turned the outside lights off. The worst is that we had requested a meeting room so that we wouldn’t interfere with the other guests, we were told we couldn’t have a meeting room and then we were told the next day that we should have requested a meeting room and we wouldn’t have had this problem. If you want an expensive hotel with uncommunicative and rude staff, this is your hotel.

Dear Ann H, Please accept my condolences for your family’s loss. Having recently lost a loved one myself, I know how difficult it is to cope during such a painful time. The last thing one needs during your grief is being misunderstood to the point where it interferes with your family gathering. I have looked in to the circumstances surrounding your evening, and I truly think there was a misunderstanding on our part, coupled with a lack of communication, that compounded your frustration. Typically our group get togethers, whether formal or casual, flow through our catering sales department. My sales team does not recall discussing the use of a meeting room, and I have not been able to determine who you spoke to about utilizing our restaurant area for your function, a miscommunication for which I again apologize. As for moving your party outside, then back inside, and our lack of tact on the part of our maintenance personnel, I profusely apologize. We take pride in our 20 plus year history of being among the top ranked hotels in our area for guest service and satisfaction. In your case however, we obviously dropped the ball. I appreciate you sharing your experience. Tom Williamson, Partner

When my family and I arrived at the hotel we were exhausted from a long flight and traveling chaos. Check-in was ok at the front and we received our keys and went to our rooms. My room had dirty towels in the shower area and the pillow cases had brown stains on them. I went back to the front desk and spoke to Kim and she immediately sent housekeeping to my room to clean the bathroom and bring a new set of towels in addition to clean pillows for the bed; thanks Kim for making my stay at the hotel comfortable and putting me at ease. I look forward to the remodeling project and will return after it's completed.

The hotel is very convenient for cruising out of Port Canaveral. The "bistro" staff are great and the food/drink prices are reasonable for a touristy hotel. You can easily walk from the pool to the beach. The rooms are a bit dated but not dirty or uncomfortable. We were surprised how the lobby was very new compared to the rooms. But overall a very easy stay.
