The Wyndham Garden Ft Lauderdale Airport & Cruise Port hotel garners praise for its clean, spacious rooms and the professionalism of its staff. Despite some reports of noise and occasional service inconsistencies, the convenient location near the airport and cruise port makes it a popular choice among travelers. My wife and I stayed here 2 nights before our cruise left out from Fort Lauderdale and could not have been more pleased. The front desk staff member was clean cut and unbelievably accommodating, more so than other hotel we’ve ever stayed at. Just by interacting with all of the staff you can tell that customer service is a top priority. The room was great, with some of the most comfortable pillows ever (weird, I know but absolutely true). The hardwood-type floors in the room was an interesting choice, but it definitely made the room feel more fancy. The pinnacle experience of our stay, however, was talking with the food manager, Garlin. He went out of his way to make sure that our experience was top notch and took the time to engage in some great conversation. Thank you all so much for the excellent stay!

We chose Wyndham Garden for its transfers to/from the airport and cruise terminal. The rates dropped as we got close to arrival, so I re-booked with no problem (under Wyndham Rewards program). The modern minimalist details are appealing with many amenities on site. The main problem is this area of Dania Beach has just started expanding. For dining and shopping go to Dania Point, or cruise down Dania Beach Blvd east. The pool is superb, but some may find the nearby cell tower intrusive. The neighboring apartments are not attractive. But Hilton has a new building under construction and that may pick up the area. The on-site breakfast is very affordable and well-prepared. So again the downsides are mostly the scantily developed location, and the minimal guidance you receive when checking in. Have a fun time on your next visit.

Hotel was nice and convenient to both airport and port. Had difficulty with the safe in the room but otherwise room was nice. Cafe was overpriced and menu did not reflect the higher prices charged. The portions were way too big so lots of waste unless you were extremely hungry. Would have preferred smaller portion at lower price. The people/company arranging for transportation were horrible. Over booked the number of people on van and didn't take into consideration how much luggage each person had before shoving all our luggage into the trailer piled high and jammed in so tight they had trouble closing and securing the doors. There were no seats left when my husband and I finally were able to get in the van. Driver asked if we could stand!!!! I said no so he had me sit in front with him and my husband was told to stand. Finally someone in the back said there was a fold down seat in the back he could use! We were supposed to be "last on - first off" but then the driver said no he was dropping everyone else off at a different ship before dropping the 2 of us which meant we had to wait while they unloaded all the luggage and got everyone else off before taking us. I was afraid our luggage would get mixed in with theirs as it went in van last so I kept telling him that we were told we would be dropped first. He finally radioed back and confirmed what I said was correct and dropped us off first. Then he stood around waiting for a tip!!! Kept asking if we had everything over and over until we finally gave him something. For the way we were treated we didn't feel he deserved a tip.
I was afraid the doors were going to open and spill our luggage all into the street. They need to ask how many pieces of luggage and people not just how many people. Very poorly planned if you can even call it planned.

We arrived at the Hotel after normal check-in hour and was told the room was not available and it would be a short wait. To make a long story short we ended up waiting 3 hours. This is after traveling 12 hours to get to the hotel. We were going to grab something to eat in the cafe but were warned by others not to bother that they had been waiting for over an hour and had not been waited on or able to get the attendant to take their order. When we eventually were given a room (8pm) we opened the door and there was someone already in the room. We went back down and ended up waiting another 30 minutes for another room. We had just got settled into the room and our door opened up. The front desk had given the key to our room to another guest. We had also purchased the shuttle (independent) from the hotel lobby which turned out to be a mess. We waited on both ends (leaving and returning) on the return what could have been a 15 minute Uber drive took 2.5 hours. I could go on but I'll finish with this, we had purchased our room through a 3rd party and informed the front desk on both check-in and checkout. When we received the billing statement we had been charged by the hotel for one of the nights of our stay. I made numerous attempts to contact the hotel via phone and each time was placed on hold with no one coming back to assist. I called 3 separate times and was either told no one was available to assist or placed on hold. I held the first time for 10 minutes and then again the second time for 13 minutes before finally hanging up. I tried another extension (Accounting) and the VM box was full so was unable to leave a message.

Avoid this place! There are much nicer places to stay over by the beach and the prices are comparable. I don't blame the employees for these types of issues as they all seemed completely overwhelmed, understaffed or just horribly unorganized.

We stayed in this hotel for 1 night after arrival on the AirPort of Fort Lauderdale. The free shuttlebus is excellent. Whitin 5 minutes we were picked up. From airport and it takes just 10 minutes to the hotel. The familyroom was spacious, though the airco a bit noisy. Breakfast was good but when busy I think they can use an extra hand. They really Made an effort for every guest, compliments to them.
Transfer to the fort Lauderdale port Everglades costs $8 per person and they drop of per company which was great. Very kind driver who Made sure we got there dry.
Surely recommend this hotel for this purpose.

The rooms and lobby were very nice. The bed was comfortable, it had the necessary room amenities such as iron, ironing board, shower gel, shampoo etc. in the bathroom. The pool area was very nice with ample lounges , chairs, pool towels and sun umbrellas. It has a in house cafe offering a $12.00 per person buffet breakfast and a small yet satisfying dinner menu and beverages of your choice. There is a restaurant literally 3 minutes away offering all meals, The Fish Grill (look for separate review). The Wyndham website states there is a free shuttle service to Dania Pointe and this is not the case, however Eric on the front desk made this happen for us along with the best shuttle driver there is, Kenny! I do not know Eric's position there but the Front Desk Supervisor listened to my concerns and promised me to inform the afternoon shift of my request and there was no communication on his part. The one thing he did do is got the pool opened for us as it was closed for "maintenance." We got into the hotel early from a cruise and there was one room left that they provided to us with an early check in fee and that was the end of the conversation. We got to the elevators and only one was working and apparently it had been out of order for at least a week from what I can gather. We get into our room and late afternoon we tried our phone to discover it was out of order. Back down to the front desk on the extremely slow one elevator that was working where they stated the phone utility company has been working on the situation as it was not a hotel issue. They said some phones worked and others did not. This is a huge safety issue (at any age and especially at ours) as we have no cell phones and no way to communicate if there had been an emergency. No offer to move us to a room where the phone worked and no sign on the broken elevator. How hard is it to post a note on the broken elevator or at the very least inform your guests of these two situations upon check in. If you are staying anytime soon, I would definitely inquire if both the elevator and phone situations have been rectified.

didn't clean our room in 3 days. called front desk each day and was promised service that never happened. floor in room very dirty. You could tell the personnel had no training. Breakfast was microwaved egg omelet and sausage patty only, no other choice. air condition unit sounded like a jet engine running. bar of soap was so small you were lucky if you could was your feet from walking on the room floor.

Due to the current climate, we have reduced the number of interactions that guests and staff have. This is to ensure that everyone is more safe. While we no longer do daily housekeeping, you can be confident that our team works diligently to ensure rooms are squeaky clean between stays. Nevertheless, it appears we have some work to do. We apologize for your room missing some essentials and failing to accommodate your request. We know we can do better and would love another opportunity to prove this to you.

We arrived after midnight having already contacted the hotel prior to leaving our home state. Instructions were given to go to the third floor and turn right. Incorrect. We contacted the front desk to receive directions, Marcelo refused to give us directions to the pickup location, instead told us to hang up and call back pressing ‘2’ to speak to the driver. When the “shuttle arrived” … oh. my. gosh. This was not a shuttle but a van that sounded worse than it looked! There were dents, cracks and a loud high pitched noise emanating from the van. The driver did not announce the hotel he was going to so we stood praying this was not one we had to board. Unfortunately for us, we were made to cram into the 12 seat van which makes multiple stops with a driver that had no type of professional uniform. To call this an “award winning hotel” at this point that’s a definite NO!

Room 606 was clean, two Queen beds, very hot water with decent pressure. Our view was of the parking garage and the pool. I can’t be sure if the room was sanitized because there was no indication of such.

Other than that, for a one night stay the room was good. I just wouldn’t recommend the shuttle.

Shuttle is pay then ride at kiosk. Soooo, call the front desk and the shuttle company. They do a brisk business so at the very least they could put one scooter on each of two shuttles. But, ASK the front desk to be sure.

You can call the Wyndham Rewards number and have an associate change your stay information or you can contact the hotel directly. I would also recommend contacting the hotel directly about the shuttle so they can put your name on the list. I don’t know if it runs 24/7, but I’ve caught a shuttle from the hotel at 5 AM.

The shuttle is free from the hotel (best part of the hotel!) and I believe they said they run every 30 minutes. You'd have to set up pick up time with front desk.
