Le Méridien Dania Beach at Fort Lauderdale Airport presents a contemporary haven that's received accolades for its cleanliness and stylish atmosphere. Guests have lauded the modern rooms and amenities like the pool, although opinions on room maintenance and noise levels vary.
While the service is occasionally pegged as inconsistent, the hotel's proximity to the airport is a boon for cruise travelers, despite some grumbles about its distance from other attractions and steep parking charges. Patrons note that the value is diminished by the costly dining and additional fees.

Detailed Reviews
My wife and I stayed at the Le Meridien for one night post-cruise. Our experience was overall quite pleasant and we would recommend this hotel.
To begin, we arrived early at the hotel after getting off our cruise ship. The hotel actually gave us a room almost immediately even though it was still before 12 noon. There was no attempt to charge us an early check-in fee either which was appreciated.
The pool on property is actually quite nice. There was music playing at low volume, plenty of loungers and areas with adequate shade. The pool was also heated which made it usable even though it wasn't too warm outside when we visited.
There were some issues early in the morning figuring out the shuttle to the airport. We wound up taking an Uber as there were loads of people and bags waiting and we didn't have much time. There was no one available from the hotel to explain where to wait, etc. As a result, people who got there after us bullied there way ahead onto the last available seats. I can't fully blame the hotel for this though. People will be people.
Overall the stay was great. There's onsite food although there were some issues the day we visited with power at the lobby restaurant resulting in it being closed. This didn't affect us much as we elected to order food delivery instead. I would absolutely stay here again pre or post cruise or for just a few nights visiting the area. It's not on the beach but if you're renting a car, it's in a good location.

Overall we liked this hotel a lot and will return. It is nicely decorated with a cool vibe and yet it is family friendly too. The club lounge breakfast was great, the servers were very friendly and attentive. Nadia at the bar was also very friendly and front desk staff too. Pool is heated very warm and lovely zero entry makes it good for all ages yet it wasn’t overrun with kids.
Some feedback for mgmt to consider:
As others have commented they really need to change out the smoke detectors in the room - why would you ever put smoke detectors in the room with a FLASHING LIGHT that flashes every thirty seconds?! we were all sleeping with blankets pulled over our heads.
It is close to the airport so you will hear airplane traffic. For me it was white noise and just sounded like highway traffic and didn’t bother me but it might bother you if you are a light sleeper.
They are a bit skimpy about towels and you have to keep asking for more. The bathroom design has no towel racks to actually hang your towels which is annoying.
They also don’t use a top sheet on your bed, it is just a duvet with no sheet. Very European but I prefer having a sheet and not sleeping next to a duvet.
But overall this is a very nice hotel and we would still return.

The Le Meridien is a hidden gem, 5 min away from FLL airport and yet is a full service hotel, not just a basic airport hotel. The hotel is very clean and modern with a good restaurant and bar, LOVELY heated pool with zero entry which our kids loved, and is very quiet and not crowded at all. Also the club lounge had a good hot breakfast and the staff were great about replenishing the hot food right up until the end of the breakfast hour, even going past the end time. Housekeeping was good. Diane, one of the managers provided OUTSTANDING care for our child with complex food allergies. She went out of her way to make sure all the staff understood the allergies and was very cautious about it. We have come here multiple times and will return again!

The hotel does have an airport shuttle. I had to call three times from the airport with a different story each and every time. Took over and hour and 15 minutes from the first call.
The room has this awful flashing light that goes off every 12-15 seconds all night long. Totally annoying. And nothing hotel can do about it.
The room overall needs maintenance. The door does not lock easily and you have to do all sorts of things to the handle. The holder for the show wand was literally falling off the wall. The handle on the (well designed shower ) was so lose that I felt it was going to fall off.
The breakfast buffet was ok, but at $29 per person they decide charge extra for an omelet. They hide the fruit and you have to know they have fruit and ask for it. The coffee shop does not have prices displayed on anything and they can’t tell you how much it is until they make the drink and ring it up. Then you are obligated to pay. Espresso was $10; smoothie was $12.
While the place is pretty, one can tell that it was great design and poor maintenance. Second time to stay here and I venture to say my last.

First off they said they’ll send the shuttle to the airport in 15 mins and it took 1:30hrs to pick us up. We were sweating by then.
We come to the hotel and I requested for some silverware and plates and it has been more than 30mins and I have remained them twice and it’s still not here. One of the worst service and experience for me. I am a platinum elite member btw.

We will never stay here again. The lobby is a very loud nightclub you can't even have a conversation in. Room service doesn't answer the phone. Housekeeping walked in on us after we arrived when I was finishing in the bathroom even though I told them to hang on. There were numerous housekeeping staff blocking the hallway and cleaning rooms until almost 7:00 in the evening very loudly. Never, ever again.

Check in staff was new and inexperienced. Room was small with a desk that leaves little room to walk around.
What I found outrageous is the parking. There is a huge area to park, very few cars are parked, nothing nearby to walk to, but they charge $25 for parking. No electric chargers. If you have a car stay elsewhere.
Breakfast was complementary for platinum members. It had eggs, fruit, yogurt, coffee, not exciting but edible.
I would not stay here again because there are no restaurants you could walk to, and the parking charge is outrageous given the location.

We had stayed at this hotel on a couple of occasions. On a previous visit we got talking with the front office manager about our honeymoon plans. She told us to email her prior to staying ar the hotel for our honeymoon before our cruise.
I emailed as advised. Numerous emails were exchanged and she advised us she would ensure we would have a great experience when we would stay. However, that did not happen. No staff member mentioned our honeymoon or was there nothing special about the room. I was not going to mention it to staff.
To begin with, I was looking for anything major. But when you are promised something will be done and it does not happen, it was a let down. €420 was excessive for an average room. Altough our rate was to include a cruise transfer, we had to pay the cruise shuttle driver $24. I mentioned this to the hotel, but my email was not replied to. As a TA that assists clients with cruise holidays out of Fort Lauderdale, I will advise them to book a hotel elsewhere.

Needed a hotel near FLL airport for one night. It is just off 95 highway. This hotel seemed very new, very nice lobby, big and spacious. Quick check in and up to room. The room was extremely bright and clean. White walls, light coloured floors all added to the ambiance. Very large TV and comfy bed. My only criticisms, for a hotel with a French heritage, the sheets were quite rough. Also they charged $25 for parking which in my opinion for the hotel's location was outrageous. Breakfast was not included so we had breakfast one exit south on 95 at a great dinner. In my opinion this hotel is a cut above your average airport hotel and was a good value other than the parking charge.

We went directly in the middle of spring break, but this hotel did not have all the spring breakers. We came here for a night before we left for our cruise on Saturday. We arrived at the airport and the shuttle bus was easy to use and the driver was helpful with the baggage, as it was taken directly to our room. The rooms were spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable. The lobby was open and lively, there was even a sitting area outside to have a drink. Next time I leave on a cruise, I will be staying here again.

We got charged Room Rate, Sales Tax (7%) and Occupancy Tax (6%)
There was no resort fee then.
Also parking was free at that time but that was a temporary thing.
No the hotel shuttle did not go to the cruise terminals. You should be able to get an Uber or Lyft for about $20.
Yes, but it was a buffet with tongs dropped in/on the food. Not appealing.
