My daughter's and I love this resort and this summer will be our third time staying here. The landscaping is beautiful and we appreciate that it's gated so not just anyone can wonder around. Make sure you get a unit on the first floor because they're no elevators. You will definitely need a car was Disney is a 10 minute drive, Universal is 30 minutes, and make sure to spend a day driving to the beach. We enjoy having a washer and dryer in the unit and having a full kitchen we can make some of our meals instead of eating out 3 times a day. All the units have a screened in patio which are a nice place for breakfast or late night cocktail. The restaurant has fantastic food that is reasonably priced but the alcohol is expensive so stock up at the grocery store. The pools are amazing so it's a fabulous all girls trip for us!

We were lucky to have exchanged into one of the better3 bedroom units at Bahama Bay resort. There was an issue with one of ourr appliances and we were offered a chance to move to another unit. Upon inspection of two other units it was clear that they were more outdated and the furniture needed repair so we chose to stay in unit assigned. All units are owner owned so the resort staff is there for upkeep and maintenance . Resort staff were all very helpful and accomodating. Pool areas werre clean and inviting. Well maintained.grounds etc. There is even a small enclosed beach area next to a large lake. This is a large resort with many units and has sidewalk walking trails throughout the resort. Shopping and restaurants and golf etc. are nearby outside gates but you will need a car to access. Theme parks are about 30 mins drive away. Our 3 bedroom unit was roomy and comfortable. There was a screened in balcony off living room and master bedroom. Each balcony was very small with only room for 2 people. Our granddaughrer enjoyed the pool and playground areas. The Master bedroom had a comfortable new mattress but the guest bedroom had a mattress that sank in middle. Third bedroom had twin beds. All units have a Pack n Play/crib and highchair provided which is a nice touch. Furnishings and their upkeep are all owner controlled. so we were lucky to have a unit that had been somewhat updated although one appliance needed to be replaced. We were assured by front desk that our unit would be blocked from further rentals until owner replaced it. Front desk staff were courteous. and very helpful with anything we needed. We had a fun week at Bahama Bay. .

Great location, the grounds are well maintained, however major tree surgery is required to allow more light into the units. The pools are good and very well looked after. The unit we stayed in was very clean however the furniture and fixtures were well worn and seriously in need of updating. This resort could be five star if the accommodation was
updated and upgraded.

This trip of three weeks was booked via Virgin during the pandemic and was much awaited and looked forward to. We visited in Easter 22 when restrictions had been eased. What follows is a lengthy report as what we experienced was very mixed.

The location is good, the external upkeep of the property and communal areas seems good. Our children loved the pool and the nature we saw was lovely. We appreciated how safe we felt within a gated community. In short the complex has so much promise but did not deliver adequately during our visit.

Travelling as a package we did not get to choose our apartment and herein lies the problem. We stayed for three weeks over Easter and were very disappointed with the internal upkeep, cleanliness and dated appearance of our apartment. The fittings were extremely dated, poorly maintained and in some instances just plainly unacceptable and unhygienic. We had peeling kitchen cabinets, bathroom cabinets that looked rotten and broken. Mirrors that were delaminating, fridge freezer that had rusting shelves and external rust. The seats at the table just looked filthy as they were fabric and could not therefore be cleaned.

We were not provided with clean linen or offered any form of housekeeping despite staying for three weeks in accommodation that was advertised as having ‘room service’. I appreciate that this often refers to food service but it does seem odd that housekeeping was unavailable to us even for an additional premium. When I enquired at the start of our stay I was informed that we had all that we needed to do our own cleaning, not quite what I had hoped to be doing on a 10k package holiday. After speaking to Virgin we were told by the Manager that housekeeping could be added at a cost, he didn’t know what cost this was and said he would get back to us . This didn’t happen, our vacuum cleaner was broken and had exposed wires, this was replaced but the requested bathroom clean after a toilet blocking/flood was not completed nor was a suspicious blood stain on the shower cubicle removed! We were very much left to our own devices! The main TV did not work throughout our stay and despite it being fixed, it had a time lag which made the sound out of sync with the picture so it was impossible to watch. Twice this was fixed and the TV we had relocated from the bedroom replaced only for this error to repeat.

Noise was intermittently an issue and depends very much how busy the complex is, when no one was above us the apartment was quiet but due to insufficient sound proofing the apartment was noisy when upstairs was occupied. You could hear every step loudly along with doors opening and closing.

We were offered the chance to move but this was not practical for us as we were travelling with disabled children and also we were told we would need to move more than once as we were there for three weeks.

This was all so disappointing as we booked a premium 4 V accommodation with a reputable company and were left disappointed on a once in a life time break.

With some investment, clearer marketing and customer service improvements this property could be something very special it has so much potential but sadly it did not meet our expectations on this occasion.

We recently stayed for a month. The first apartment was poor, dirty carpets, beds dreadful, really tired furniture, the resort staff who were really helpful allocated us another apartment. This was acceptable for our stay, however, I still feel the apartments are a long way from how the grounds, pools and walks around the resort are maintained. The staff work very hard to keep bins emptied, pool areas clean, and grass well kept. As the apartments are all owned by private people, I feel the resort management, should be able to say we cannot let your apartment until you bring it up to an acceptable level! Some have obviously not been updated since the resort opened. I liked the resort, but without a guarantee of a better apartment for a future stay I would not return

The cheapest, most uncomfortable mattresses EVER!!! No blankets or comforters on the beds, only thin sheets. Not enough pillows.

The restaurant closes early, the convenience store closes early, and there are seriously no vending machines on premises!!!

The pool and hot tub close too early to be useful for anyone visiting a theme park during the day.

Not particularly clean nor was the staff wasn't particularly friendly.

This stay was unacceptable. We will not be returning.

We weren't sure what to expect but were pleasantly surprised when we checked in. The property is gated and the grounds are well maintained. The front desk staff are friendly, polite and accommodating. This home was very clean and nicely furnished with a coastal feel. There is a fully functional kitchen and as I love to cook was able to make Christmas dinner and dessert with ease. The home is spacious with high ceilings, separate dining room that lends space to an open living room and 3 separate bedrooms. All of the bedrooms have their own televisions and seem to have new mattresses as we all slept comfortably. We especially loved the living room and electronic fireplace, which came in handy when a brief cold front came through. Once the weather warmed up again, we slept with the sliding doors open and ceiling fans on, which gave us a nice cross breeze and was heaven! The porches are totally screened in and overlook the lake and fountain which is so quiet and peaceful. The unit also has a separate laundry room with a washer and dryer.

The property itself has walking paths around 3 lakes, 4 pools with 6 hot tubs, a spa, splash pad, playground and gym. There is also a restaurant/tiki bar called Tradewinds at the main pool area which serves burgers, sandwiches, salads and great pina coladas! There are so many other amenities but too many to mention. You are literally less than 20 minutes from Disneyland, there is a church nearby, Gatorland and Hard Rock Hotel, if you prefer an adult night out or change in scenery. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. As the homes are privately owned I cannot speak for all, but we felt very much at home in this one (bahama bay building 21 apt 1013) and will definitely book again soon!

we only checked in yesterday and I’ve never written a review in my life, our condo is overall comfortable and spacious. Fairly clean as well. Appliances are newer and nice, I saw a roach this morning which is a little gross but also pretty much everywhere in florida has roaches so you sort of anticipate that, but seeing them is nasty.

As for the resort itself all I can say is not as expected and very disappointing, the splash pad and beach are INFESTED with fire ants, you literally cannot take children there which is a huge let down considering we had planned to enjoy both, the pool by trade winds has raccoons in the middle of the day outside by the pool chairs, so that was also disappointing and sort of gross. Fitness centre seems okay, overall would never stay again- we are booked for almost 30 days and I actually am actually looking for alternatives because roaches ants and raccoons is going to make for a long month!

Security at these apartments is good. Apartments are spacious and fully equipped with white goods.

However we were expecting two full bathrooms with showers, as I gave difficulty getting in and out of the bath I always opt for showers. Unfortunately the one which was en suite for the master bedroom had no shower at all. It had the shower over the bath but was not connected.

On the second day we came back to find a maintenance guy in our apartment, no authority had been requested or given, he said the tap would need replacing. We waited a couple of days but no one came to fix it so I went to reception and reported it again, also advised them of the enormous hole in the sheets they had provided, they offered different sheets and agreed to add the shower to the maintenance log, as it had not been added before (?).

The second bathroom shower was working but faulty and only gave a single stream.

We were there for 4 weeks no one came to fix either of the showers.

Two weeks before we left, they started maintenance on our floor if the apartment block, our door was covered and taped up with just a single space for the keyhole. Paint was scraped off the outside walls, they were then repainted in bits. This work hadn’t finished by the time we left.

I chose this place because it was less than half the price of the hotels closer to Disneyworld, where my daughter and I planned to spend a couple of days. But the Bahama Bay is so spectacular that we ended up skipping Disneyworld entirely! Our “room” was a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo with enormous kitchen, dining room, living room, screened patio area and laundry room. There were works of pottery and art in every room, leaving me to suspect this was a privately owned vacation home. The resort has 4 pools, 6 Jacuzzis and a splashpad, as well as 2 ponds and a private beach with a fishing dock on Lake Davenport. My daughter and I went down to the beach at 4:30 one morning to watch a star shower, then walked out on the dock at 5:30 to see a Space X launch. What a tremendous experience. The grounds also have shuffleboard, billiards, tennis, basketball, beach volleyball, ping pong, a wonderful restaurant, a lounge, room service, gated entry, and an all-night store. What a deal!

I’m having the same issue finding an email address and we go in two week! Even their online contact form doesn’t work and they don’t seem to have a Facebook page. I’ve seen someone else mention getting in touch directly with who you’ve booked with (Virgin in mine/their case) and they can pass on requests :)

I'm not able to answer that question. I don't own the condo - I just rented it for the week. We didn't have a pet so we didn't enquire.
