Heading back from North Yorkshire Moore via the Peak District, we were in need of a good lunch, this little pub just appeared on the right hand side of the road, On entering we were greeted by a very friendly land lord and lady, a super choice for lunch cooked fresh and served in good time, We would return if...

My partner and I had a romantic couple of nights here- one in the four poster room and one night in another room (Fab views from the four poster room out the back, not such a good view of the main road from the other) overall the stay was pleasant and what a super location. Thank you

Stopped for one night at this character Inn which has a great location for the high peaks . We were given Mam Tor room which was at the front on the main road and did suffer from road noise. Would ask for a rear facing room. The room was very compact but clean with modern furnishings and expected facilities. The...

I reserved a table for six because of past experiences when we had been unable to get a table because they were so busy. We arrived to find ours was the only reserved table and the pub was very quiet. Food was ok but served by 'very nice young people' with clearly little experience of waiting on at the dining...

We had seen the Lantern Pike many times while driving past. Today we decided to visit for lunch and were not disappointed,we both had the lamb shanks which were beautifully cooked, Delicious! For a starter I had feta cheese salad and my wife had mackerel salad which were a meal in themselves. Definately there will be a return visit

This is a great little pub, that has it's own character. A breath of fresh air when pubs are decorated to a standard design these days. The beer is excellent. Staff are convivial and welcoming.Music is playing, but not so loudly that you can't have a conversation. Sunday lunch is excellent; but, the normal menu... Not quite sure what the menu...

Disappointing pub lunch on a long walk with our dogs! Firstly dogs are only allowed outside - luckily it was dry and hot day so not a problem. And secondly the food was disappointing. We ordered two sandwiches cheese and pickle / chicken tikka, it was served on shop brought sliced bread! Would have hoped for at least proper crusty...

Great find, visited late Sunday afternoon, food served all day and a fair menu. We opted for the Sunday lunch, choice of roasts & because I'm useless on trying to make up my mind the pub kindly gives you a Combo option of three meats. Included with the generous hot roast were new pots, roast pots, not over cooked hot...

We have just returned home from a night stay at Lantern Pike Inn. The hosts Tom and Stella and indeed all the other staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were terrific, spotless and they had all that we needed. Although our room fronted the road and could be noisy, once the windows were closed you didn't hear a...
