Place is well taken care off, my family will be back here again, our site is probably 5 minute away from the beach. Beach is not crowded at all. Beats the crowd on the condo populated beach . Facilities is very clean.
This campground has a beautiful beach, educational boardwalk, bike and walking paths, private sites, and the cleanest bathrooms I have ever seen. They recycle aluminum, but not plastic. There are several handicap accessible sites and bathrooms. We love this campground and try to come once...More

Interior paved roads easy to navigate.

I can't help you with your weather concerns - we've only been in Florida in winter or spring, never in the middle of summer. I will say the spaces in Henderson have a lot of lush greenery surrounding them. No real shade trees, but you won't be completely exposed to sun.
As for things to do, Henderson parallels a very busy commercial strip, with all the restaurants, bars, and shopping you could want just a few minutes away. In fact, the one downside to the park is that you do get some of the traffic noise, depending on how the wind is blowing.
