The hotel is classic 1960's, as is the entire town, for very good reasons. Hurricane Donna destroyed much of the town, and all that remained has been maintained. I like this place, it reminds me of a simpler time! The motel is clean, the bed comfortable, the tv was good, and the wifi worked well enough. The room is very...

We were short on time only coming in from Miami International early evening and leaving for North Florida the following afternoon so it was important to find accommodation in the heart of the Everglades. The Captains Table fitted the bill but there are few accommodation options in Everglade City and the price and dated decor of the rooms probably reflects...

It's a motel, it's not beautiful, but the room was clean and a good size, and the motel is in a nice setting by the river. We found the lady on reception very helpful as we had a few questions and she made some great recommendations about air boat tours, and lunch and dinner suggestions, all of which we took...

We just wanted to take a trip to escape the farm for few days. This is area we had not explored. Arrived Friday evening and checked in. I had booked for a King, we got two double beds. Was told "special" rates did not apply, although I booked through Trip Advisor. The desk clerk was short and curt, could not...

Couldn't stay where we wanted so found a room at the Captains Table Lodge. When we arrived, I was "greeted" by a most unwelcoming desk clerk who spoke to me in the most bored and condescending manner and handed me my key. The place was amazingly unattractive with little to no landscaping, peeling paint and loud air conditioners. I still...

Couldn't book where we wanted to stay. The shpwer curtain doesn't come down far enough so water on floor. The wordt was the air conditiner that seemed to come on every minute, very loud, for about three mi utes---off for a minute--repeat, no mater what temp we put it at. Made for a very tiresome night. Bed was comfortable enough....

The rooms are very dated, but pretty clean. It is in a great location to go on the Everglades boat tours. Price was reasonable, staff was very friendly and helpful. Not much available in the town so go out to dinner early, the streets roll up after dark.

We shared a two bedroom suite with another couple and found the accommodations quite adequate for our purposes of staying in the area to continue our exploration of the Everglades the next day. We did not need or use the kitchen facilities in the suite, but they were certainly available - and well stocked with whatever one would need to...

There aren't a lot of places to stay in Everglades City and most were booked. The lady told me they did not have many amenities when I booked. There is no coffee pot or microwave but I happened to have my percolater with me. Room was spotless with walkin shower. There is adequate parking and a short walk to river....
