This place represents superb value for money on any stopover to the Everglades or Keys. You have to accept that you get what you pay for so don't expect to be waited on or have a king bed with en suite and ocean view ! What you get do get are great location, lovely grounds and clean facilities. One warning,...

I'd never stayed in a hostel before, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but if more hostels are like this one, then why ever stay at a hotel? My husband and I stayed in the private "Water" room (about $70/night) with a shared bath upstairs. The room had light colored sheets that were super clean and the room smelled...

We stayed at the Nenby Lodge (Large) adjacent to the International Hostel. The setting was idyllic for our family of 2 grandparents, 2 adults, and 2 toddlers. The Large Nenby is a chalet with modern fixtures, appliances, kitchenware, high-def TV, and 3 bedrooms. The garden surroundings is a mini-paradise with a small indoor cobblestone pool (>6 ft at its deepest...

I stopped through here on a bicycle tour up the Atlantic Coast from Key West. I stayed in one of the tents provided in the wonderful fairyland of the backyard (I used my own sleeping bag). The elaborate outdoor structures and fountains were fantastic and I appreciated stretching and chilling on the yoga mats under the big lounge tents. This...

This hostel feels like you are going back in time. Not that I have experienced the flower power period, but this looks like the movies. So don't expect superclean rooms, but expect super friendly staff. They manage to create an atmosphere where experiences are shared, people make friends.

Me and my friend slept in a tent in the garden for $17 per person and never regretted it for one second. This is definetely one of my favourite hostels on the planet (and I have stayed in a lot!). There is a nice kitchen where you can cook up your own meals, an outdoor shower, a small waterfall with...

I have stayed in many hostels, mostly in Asia en India, therefore I had no doubt, what so ever, about booking a hostel in the US. Never ever, in any hostel (or hotel/motel) I have stayed in, did I have to pay $150 upfront with my reservation through the internet. The pictures looked very nice, the reviews were more than...
