Do not stay here. What a rip off. We had a horrible room. Was July and when we got to the room the air conditioning was not on so we sweltered for 2 or 3 hours waiting for the room to cool down. The room was a disaster with huge black marks on the doors, carpet pulling up from the floor, scratched wood furniture with water ring stains and sand between the glass and the wood of the coffee table. We were even missing furniture in our room! Should have had a big lounge chair in the living room & bedroom but we did not. Had to call Reception to get the two chairs which showed up hours later. The balcony was also a mess with chipped paint on the railing and various colors of paint on the table. When we called for ice for our drinks, rather than coming in an ice bucket, it was a plastic bag. All this for $340 a night! The gym was also a disaster. Sand on the floor, no air conditioning, no towels, no plastic cups for the water and run down equipment. Does anyone here pay attention to any details? I wrote to the manager to complain and sent him photos. He said he’d refund the room but he never did. That was a year ago. I’ve tried contacting him since. He ignores me. Steer clear. This place is a rip off.

The Hotel is well maintained, location is GREAT and you cannot beat the views from the beach side balconies. The non renovated rooms are definitely in need of some love, but they were in the process of renovating floors while we were on property, which did not effect our stay in any way. The pool is amazing, and is one of the reasons we chose this location, along with the ability to reserve beach chairs. The one area I wasn't super impressed with was the service. Not that there was any specific issue that arose, but more often than not, if I were to ask a question, I was responded with what seemed like irritations or annoyance. When I was greeted at the bar or restaurant, it was as if the employee would rather be anywhere else in the world. I felt as though I were an inconvenience in a majority of the interactions. In addition, I wanted a copy of my folio prior to leaving and when I went to checkout I waited for 10 minutes with no one at the desk. While it was an early morning, Hotel Front Desks should be staffed at all times.

A beautiful place with a fantastic view if you get the Ocean Front Suite. I arrived hours earlier than check in but the room was ready quickly after check in. The valet is pricey so don't bring a car.

It was our pleasure to welcome you to The Atlantic Hotel & Spa. Thank you for highlighting our beautiful views! Although we're pleased to offer convenient valet parking, it's unfortunate you were distressed by the fee. Please know you can always review this information online before arrival. Despite this, we're glad we could accommodate your early arrival, as we understand the desire to get settled into our accommodations. We appreciate your thoughts, and we look forward to serving you again. Warm Regards, Aaron Osborne General Manager

Beautiful hotel with a perfect location! Ocean view with a little balcony. Big bathroom and plenty of towels. The kitchenette was perfect for drinks and snacks. My only complaint was the room temperature. I adjusted the thermostat several times but the room did not seem to get cooler. The room was comfortable but I like it much cooler at night. I will be happy to return. We had a great time!

Went to the Atlantic February of this year. It was a little strange not having an itinerary or confirmation number in writing, just an e-mail from the hotel. I believe they're working on this, but regardless. We got there, check-in was easy. They pulled up information quickly handled our bags we were on our way. There is $150 a day incidental charge, but all hotels do that now. Not a huge deal. We got to the room and it was fantastic! We stayed on 14th floor (I think, just below the penthouse) and what a gorgeous room! Ocean view and balcony to have coffee out on and soak up the sun. Room had Kitchenette, great bathroom with tub and separate shower. Shower was a bit tricky to figure out at first for hot and cold but we figured it out eventually. Very nice espresso maker in the room as well. Bed was comfy, big tv, work desk and even mini fridge which was great for leftovers, beverages and iced coffee. If you need ice, you ask the front desk and they send up someone with a bag. Which is fine as long as it's not the middle of the night I guess, if you do need ice in the middle of the night I guess plan accordingly. Wild Thyme restaurant in the hotel is fantastic for all 3 meals and morning coffee. The short rib fries and quesadilla are great, breakfast sandwich is huge and delicious and the salads are fresh and wonderful! Great cocktails too! Hotel pool was VERY cold but I'm guessing that was due to it being winter and the copious amounts of rain they got the day before we arrived. Still great pool area, pool bar and pool when you get in it is refreshing. Hotel is located right across from beach on A1A, minutes to walk to everything, dozens of restaurants, shopping, liquor store, that actually delivers to you, etc. It's a great location. Some of the reviews say that it's expensive, we didn't have a car to park so I'm not sure if they charge to park and maybe some of the things are pricey, I guess maybe they are, but in the hotel there is 18% service charge on meals and tons of dining around if it is too pricey. Being from Boston, it's still far cheaper and if worried about the cost, just plan accordingly for Happy Hour etc. Even if it's a little higher priced than other properties, well worth it for a top-notch vacation experience! We will definitely be back to The Atlantic on our next trip to Fort Lauderdale.

It’s funny how reviews can vary so much. While on my way to the hotel I was reading recent reviews and became concerned that I had made a mistake. Well, we arrived on Monday, 2/20, at 11:45 am. I was prepared to see chaos in the lobby, hear that rooms were not ready, and a litany of other negative things. We pulled up to the valet, they were courteous and helpful. I went to the front desk and Nikita immediately assisted me with checking in. Our room was ready! The valet brought our luggage to our room and we were on the beach by 12:15. Josh was the beach attendant who helped us. Knowing that you get two chairs, unlimited towels and water, but umbrellas are $30 for the day, we opted to buy an umbrella at Walmart for $25. We’ll donate it at the end of our trip. Are the rooms dated? Yes. Are they clean? Spotless. Is the staff friendly? You bet. No concierge? Uh, ever heard of Yelp or, ahem, TripAdvisor?? The only negative thing I could say was that the pool heater was broken but they were working on getting a part. So, bad luck for me. For a beach hotel at these prices ($355/night when staying 5 nights) it is a bargain. If you want fresh rooms and a concierge, ON THE BEACH, you can expect to pay a lot more. I bet that if this place was renovated you would see prices start at $700/night. Forcing you to stay at a HoJo or equivalent on A1A for under $500. Time to lower your expectations and enjoy the sun and surf. And remember that you can walk to restaurants too.

We went there for Valentines to spend a few days. Little annoyances accrued: cheap box spring beds that squeaked with the slightest of movements, breakfast on the patio was always ‘reserved’ yet for 3 days we would see 1/2 the tables outside empty, $45 parking, noisy neighbors (had to call security 2 nights in a row, pool over crowded with blaring music…and beachfront has a price,…noise pollution.
