Our room was generally rally good. Had to call the number on the reception door to get attention of the receptionist, but shortly after a lovely girl arrived. The room had everything that you might need and only negative was the old AC units that was quite loud. Liked the atmosphere and would stay again and thanks to the friendly and lovely receptionist.
I was very excited to stay at this hotel after reading the great reviews. I have to admit that the location, style, friendliness of the owners, the availability of a full kitchen and the beach towels/chairs provided were all perfect. However, I was disappointed and surprised to find out that the basics (salt, pepper, cooking oil, coffee filter) were not provided. The mattress was saggy and uncomfortable. The water pressure was lacking. The pool couches were dirty and not cared after. The air conditioning was extremely loud. All these irritants would not have mattered so much had the price been lower. I would definitely try another hotel in the area on my next trip out there.
We stayed at the Soleado hotel for six days to end an American blues road trip.
Sylvia and Andreas the managers were very nice and nothing was too much trouble for them.
The apparent was fantastic, well appointed, modern and serviced every day. The kitchen area enabled us to prepare breakfasts and an occasional meal.
The swimming pool was a nice size and most days only my wife and I used it. There were plenty of sunbeds and pool furniture on the patio. Pool and beach towels were provided along with beach umbrella and seats for use on the nearby beach.
There was two large barbecues one charcoal and one gas which were available to use.
This place would be ideal for large families who wanted there own space but have a communal area during the daytime.
Plenty of restaurants and shops close by.
Recommended +++++ will definitely book in there next time I am in Fort Lauderdale.
So glad I found this hidden gem! It was on a quite street, extremely clean, spacious and relaxing. Nothing really to complain about except the water pressure and lack of hot water but not enough to discourage a repeat trip! Definitely coming back!
My hubby and I usually stay at another hotel (right down the road) while visiting Ft. Lauderdale. However, this year we were looking to save some money, without sacrificing quality and comfort. We definitely found that with Soleado! Our large corner apt. was clean, spacious, comfortable, and quiet. Yet, it was very close to the beach and other hot-spots...just a quick walk down the block. Furthermore, the owners are super friendly and truly care about their guests. We will be back for sure!😊

Yes, all the rooms seem to have outside entrances. I think I had heard or read that the property used to be an apartment complex which makes sense with the exterior entrances and set-up of the rooms. There is some outdoor furniture sitting on the walkways outside of the room entrances. It is nice.
