We visited the Rittz Carlton Fort Lauderdale for a 10 night stay in July 2014 for part conference and part vacation! This was the third successive year our group of approximately 50 people had visited this hotel. We had a broad range of varying accommodations and are pleased to say that every person in every room, be it on the...

Running from a snow storm while traveling to the Bahamas, we ended up in Fort Lauderdale with no hotel reservation and an area already pretty well booked for the night by 9 p.m. We called reservations, and as a Marriott Gold member explained out plight. She was able to get us a room here and because of the late hour...

Looks like a 4 star hotel to me... nothing is impressive Had colleagues complaining their thin walls: you can hear everything happening next door... Front desk staff is not professional who messed up with my taxi booking and almost caused two taxi drivers fighting in front of my face

We were looking forward to a few nights of respite from winter, and the Ritz-Carlton in Fort Lauderdale seemed like a good option. Our room was well-appointed, and while I'm not a fan of adjoining rooms because of the potential of noise, I didn't ask to change rooms when I noticed that our room was adjoining. The first night was...

This review is for the restaurant only. We had a fabulous meal on the terrace, with great views of the ocean. The meal was excellent and our waiter Gerson was amazing!!!! This was the second time he waited on us and was just as fabulous as the first. We had such a wonderful experience here and will always have such...

The hotel is beautiful but what stands out is the customer service. Everyone is eager to help and eager to please. We got the exact service we would expect from a Ritz. Beyond the customer service, the hotel is classic, clean and crisp. We slept comfortably each night. This was a short work related trip so the areas of improvement...

This hotel is worth every one of its 6 stars. From arrival to departure the service is first class. Rooms are excellent, well maintained and spotlessly clean. Nothing here is too much trouble. Every member of staff we met was helpful and friendly. This hotel was everything I was expecting from a Ritz Carlton. This is definitely on our "return" list.

Upon booking the hotel, I was a bit concerned by online photos and reviews as the property looked dated. Our arrival was not inspiring either. However, the front desk associate was friendly and entrance into our room was pleasing - a room with two double beds, small living area with sofa and oversized bathroom and a beautiful ocean view from...

This hotel is so clean and the service is fantastic. The room was very spacious and nicely decorated. I am sick of staying at hotels where the room is so filthy I can't stand it. The towels are removed nightly and fresh towels replace the old towels. The pool is also very nice.

We spent one (alas) night here on January 31st, after disembarking the Ruby Princess cruise ship. It was not our first choice as we normally stay at the convenient Marriott Harbor Beach hotel close to the Cruiseport. The Marriott was our home for the night before our cruise but had been sold out for months for the night of January...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Ritz-Carlton, Fort Lauderdale infuses the Gold Coast with casual luxury as the city's first and only AAA Five Diamond hotel. The 24-story, dramatically tiered and glass walled structure has sweeping curves that are reminiscent of a luxury liner. Design elements recall the 1940's, with artwork that includes playful murals inspired by French artist Jean Cocteau and a 13-foot high mural of a seascape inspired by the 1880 painting, "King Neptune and His Horses." The property features 192 guest rooms and suites; a 2,200 square foot Club Lounge, 24,000 square feet of light-filled meeting space; a 29,000 square foot oceanfront sundeck with an infinity pool and private cabanas; destination Spa with an organic and active-botanical treatment menu and a water-view fitness center. Four dining and entertainment options include the new Via Luna Italian grill with seating indoors or al fresco on an oceanfront patio, the dramatic oceanfront Via Luna Bar, a private Wine Room with a 5,000 bottle wine cellar and a seventh floor Poolside Cafe with commanding ocean views. ... more   less
