The location is perfect, less than 5 minutes to the beach, close to restaurants, shops and everything else. The room was old, the a/c was making lots of noise so I needed to turn it off at night so I can sleep. They have towels and all the amenities in the room, they also supply with beach towels, chairs and umbrellas for the beech, its first come first serve, but there is plenty.

They supposed to clean the rooms but they forgot to do it one night, so we used the dirty ones for that day.

Parking is free but very limited, so don't come late or you will need to pay somewhere else to park.

Even with all the small discrepancies, I still recommend this hotel and I will definitely stay here again.

Very nice stay at the Drift Hotel located a block from the beach. Epsler who checked me in and out was exceptionally helpful. All of the front desk and house-keeping staff were pleasant and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Air-conditioning and TV worked well. Small refrigerator was a plus. Walls were on the thin side, noise a potential problem. No mirror in the bathroom but full length mirror in the room. Beach chairs, towels and boogie boards available free for use at the beach. Front desk closed from late at night to early in the morning. Good coffee in the lobby. I would not characterize the Drift as a luxury hotel but a good mid-range option in an expensive location.

I really liked this place. It was everything I expected. The room was clean and comfortable. It did have a musky beach hotel smell but I wouldn't say that it was a bad thing. If you looked hard you would find things that needed updating but they were working on it.

I almost cancelled due to construction that was going to be happening during my stay. That plus some really bad reviews. I'm SO glad I didn't change my reservation. This was exactly what I was wanting. So close to the beach, shopping and dinning.

The only bad things I experienced was the lady in the room above me coming in at 4am with high heels on the wooden floor. Next time will request upstairs room. Also the lady at the "front desk" when I checked out was a bit rude / disinterest.

The good : Great Great Great location only actually on the beach could have been better, The staff was nice for the two interactions . They did provide beach towels and beach chairs.

The not so good: Our bathroom had ants and one shower door the other was replaced with a soap scummed and rusting shower curtain and a broken non existing towel rack which means there was nowhere to hang towels. No cups or glasses in the room and the only ice they had was ice trays in the office when it was open no breakfast options at all. Corners were dusty and cobwebbed. Since it was paid for and a weekend trip we sanitized and raided and airfreshenered. Oh yeah and caught covid 19.

This might've been the absolute worst hotel I've ever stayed in. From dirty rooms to stained towels, from bathroom sewer smells to mold, from uncooperative staff to unruly college age kids - this hotel has it all! Oh, and they ran out of towels and don't provide tissues - was told to use toilet paper. Once the front desk closes at dusk, you're on your own. The after hours number is useless.
From 1 am to 5 am the filthy "courtyard" was filled with drunken teens and twenty somethings screaming and carrying on. They hotel staff admitted there was nothing they could do because "the kids won't listen but . . . we shouldn't complain because it's been worse."
When complained was told nothing could be done because the owners live outside of the country and don't care. Oh, and front "desk" person was too busy playing with her dog and computer to pay attention to the guests. Couldn't be bothered.
I have never written a review like this but then again, I never stayed in a hotel like this.
My advice - read the title of my review.

The original room we were given was only barely large enough to fit a bed and dresser. The bed was only slightly more comfortable than sleeping on the road outside and felt like it was slapped together with some plywood, concrete, and pure hatred, covered in a sheet just prior to our arrival. The room also had a fairly loud buzzing air conditioner, which we thought would be annoying, but luckily was drowned out most of the night by the sounds of the people on the floor above attempting to crash through the floor and fall into bed with us.

We switched rooms the next day; and while the room was larger, the shower was broken, hanging off the wall and spraying water everywhere. We lovingly called it the 'splash zone' as we attempted to smile through the pain.

Apparently, the walls here (much like the floors) are only slightly more sturdy and potentially thinner than soaking wet cardboard, as we were kept awake all night by the soothing sounds of the gentleman in the next room violently expelling what seemed to be an ungodly amount of stomach contents that had I not known better, sounded like it was directly on the other side of our headboard. The only reason we knew he hadn't puked himself completely inside-out and headed to the afterlife was his relentless snoring between vomit sessions to reassure us that a mere paper mache wall would not spare us from experiencing this man's brush with death alongside him.

Great location however, you should spend whatever you can afford to stay elsewhere. Conversely, you can stay here and use the money you saved to buy enough alcohol to completely numb yourself to the myriad of issues plaguing The Drift hotel.

This hotel is dirty and smells very bad. We went to spend the 4th of July but we couldn't stay because of such a bad smell and so much dirt. Horrible customer service. On top of that the hotel does NOT want to refund us the $1700 we paid for the 5 nights. I am in the process of opening a small claim because they did NOT provide the service we paid for. Do not choose this hotel, you will not have a good time with your family.

I have never stayed at a hotel this expensive and not have a
closet to hang clothes , or anything that I could hang clothes up
No ironing board and ironer.
A bed that has a 6” thick mattress resting on plywood. No box spring at least ???
Tv smeared with who knows what it was
No hair dryer
No mini fridge
No coffee maker
Aside from a rude and cocky manager.
I would not suggest staying here. Spend more money with a popular and reputable franchise. It’s worth it.

If parking is full, you don't get parking. I called to go back to the hotel and all spaces were taken and they said that " I don't know what to tell you. You need to find parking somewhere else." I just went ahead an booked a night somewhere else because I couldn't park. If you stay here and you find parking, leave your car there. Otherwise, you may be one of those unlucky ones and be out in the streets with no parking.

The hotel bills itself as a boutique hotel when it’s really just a redone motel. No mirror in the bathroom, no place to set down luggage, noisy because the low price attracts a young party crowd. They allow smoking on the balcony and in the courtyard. Office doesn’t open early enough to take advantage of the coffee, but there’s a Starbucks just a short walk down the beach. They do have towels and beach chairs for use which is handy. For a quick down and dirty trip this place was ok.

Yes, there’s a drug store just south of there. It’s a chain one but I didn’t see much in the way of drugs! Mostly vacation goodies, snacks, drinks, beach things. You’ll find all you need there.
